    Danco Transmission & Auto Care
    I took my vehicle to Danco for a transmission diagnosis, I was having all kinds of transmission issues and knew I was going to need a rebuild.  Upon diagnosis Danco stated that I would need a complete rebuild of my transmission to the tune of 5,400.00. I offered to pay for the job upfront so they wouldn't be out of pocket any money provided they could give me a discount. The service writer agreed to a 4,900.00 fee to fix the transmission in its entirety. I paid for the work to be provided and told them to fix the car. It took 8 weeks to get my car back, I had more issues then can be counted, the company never called with updates, they ordered parts that didn't work, then had to order new ones. I finally gave them an ultimatum and told them I needed my car back by the end of the week due to travel, they said it would be done by Friday afternoon. Friday at 9 a.m. I received a call from the service writer stating the car was headed down to another location for programming and that everything was on schedule to be done by the end of the day. At 2:30 p.m. I received a call stating the car would not be ready, due to programming issues per the 3rd party. At this point I had heard enough stories to not believe anything I was being told and decided to take a drive to the 3rd party's shop to learn firsthand what was wrong with my car. I arrive to the programmers
    shop, went in and talked to a service writer who stated he had not seen my car but he would check with the tech's in the back. When the service writer came back he told me exactly what I already knew, my car had never been taken down for programming and this company was being used as a scapegoat for the lack of care and concern by Danco. I immediately picked up the phone and called Danco, I asked for Donna (part owner) I asked her at what time they had taken my car
    down for programming and she stated that she personally had sent it down that morning but they were having trouble programming the vehicle. I then verified that the car was supposedly at the same place I was sitting at and she said YES! I replied "that's funny because I?m sitting here and they don't have my car" I was then put on hold for a couple minutes and was told there must have been a mistake because she was sure my car had been taken down there! I decided to go to Danco to see with my own eyes if the car was there, I walked in the shop very upset and my car was on a lift. Here they had been having
    issues with it and had not even taken it down off the lift. I then told Donna how disgusted I was with being lied to so many times by the various people in her establishment. She understood seeing as how I had caught her personally in a direct lie and offered to compensate me with 500 dollars back, I agreed. I didn't see my car for an additional 2 weeks! After I did finally get my car back it had surging issues, I decided to drive it and see if things cleared themselves up, seeing as how I was already so put off by this company. In January I decided to take the car back due to the surging being so bad. I called and made an appointment for my car, they worked on it internally for 2 weeks simply looking for codes, called me and told me it was ready to go. I picked the car up got less than a mile down the street and the exact same thing was going on. So the following week I took the car back they then decided to take it down for new programming, this took them 3 weeks.. I received a call stating
    my car was good to go and was acting perfectly... I once again went and picked my car up, and just like all the other times took it less than a mile down the road and the same issue was still there. I didn't have the time that night to deal with this so I took the car home. I called Danco back in 2 weeks and told them It was something internal and was still an issue. They agreed to pull the transmission and do what needed to be done to fix the car. I took it back and Donna had her transmission builder take a ride with me so I could show him what was going on, while on the test ride we were in heavy traffic and the car was not
    acting up, like I had told them in the past it seemed to be worst in the a.m. or when cold. While at a traffic light he looked and said I think you have another problem because your tach is moving by 25 rpm. (very common in gas powered vehicles) I described to him the issue and he said he would get to the bottom of it. The car was there for 3 more weeks! Meanwhile I'm told the transmission is out and being fixed, I finally get a call saying it needs 1200.00 worth of engine work and that this is the cause for the transmission issue. I agree to the fix simply because I was aware it was something that was in need of eventual repair, however did state that this could not be a direct link to the transmission surge. I picked up the car today, paid the 1200 dollars for the service performed and guess what. The car is still surging on decel/coast, I also looked in the back seat to find the seat not installed back in the car, when I called to complain I was told that there was only 1 tech in the car and he didn't remove the seat! However through the repair I had been told that a different tech was working on the transmission vs the engine repairs. So once again one of two things has happened.. 1) the transmission was never looked at or removed from the car and I've been lied to yet again.. 2) they didn't even repair the engine issues they stated needed repaired. I have
    had nothing but run around from this company, every time I take the car in to be worked on it's like pulling teeth to get anything done. I don't know what to believe as far as what has been completed and what hasn't been completed. End result I still have a car that I have personally paid Danco over 6,100.00 dollars to fix that is not shifting as it should. 
    In the last just over 12 months Danco has had my vehicle for just over 16 full weeks!  I'm so disgusted and would hate for anyone else to have to go through the mess of hoops and complete waste of money I've gone through.

    They were aware of the damage they made on my vehicle the same day of service for the fender and the broken  wind shield wipers blades, I was present in the garage while the service was being done.
    We talked about this work being fixed and I was told this would be fixed and they would call me back to fix the issues.

    A few days after the job was done, I noticed the windshield was cracked. I took it back to Mike and he said it was cracked by a rock. I took the windshield to multiple other auto glass shops who all verified that a rock couldn't have made this kind of brake. They advised that Mike must have broken it while installing it. I called Mike about it and he said he would get back to me. After not hearing back from him for several days, I went to his shop. He was very adament that it wasn't his fault and that I had no right to be there. He began threatening me and said that "he would put me in the hospital." He won't stand behind his work and I would like a refund for the faulty work.



    I still need to get estimates on the left finder.....1/21/13

Great place, great people.

    The mechanic here is tops.  I take my cars there to get everything done.  I don't know much about their body work, but the mechanic is really good.  If something doesn't need fixed, they won't fix it.  I have been there a couple times with problems, and he has told me what I haven't needed.  Their charges are reasonable.

    Kenny is a perfectionist and the type of person I would want to work on my car. He arrived at our house on time and immediately you can tell he is a professional by how well his equipment trailer is designed, organized, and maintained. Kenny got right to work on the car and endured one of the hottest days of the year. Absolutely thrilled with the end results as the car has not looked this good since the day I drove it off the lot. Will definitely have him back to work on other vehicles.

    On Tuesday, April 21st I had the car towed to Castrucci Ford, as the car would not start. Upon delivery of car to the dealer, it magically started. At that time I asked for a replacement of the fuel filter, as this service was overdue. Also, I asked to have the transmission flushed. My remote starter was not working so I asked to have that checked out as well. I called the service adviser Tuesday afternoon. I was told that all the work had been done to the car, except that the remote started was to be serviced by an outside vendor, who was going to show up Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday afternoon I get a call from Terry, at Castrucci Ford, and he hold me that after looking over my car details he came up with additional work that he recommend that I have done. I said to him that the service advisor had already told me the car was ready for pickup, as soon as the remote starter was fixed. After a series of questions on my part, I agreed to have the power steering flushed and the throttle service performed - based solely on his recommendation. I pointed out to him that neither of these services were listed in my owners manual as a part of normal maintenance to the car. The extra work performed on the car did not occur until Thursday, delaying me in picking up my car by one day. These services should have been performed on Tuesday, when the car was just setting there, while waiting for the outside vendor to fix the remote starter. Before I picked up the car I looked on the internet for power steering flush. Sure enough there was a website that claimed that replacing power steering fluid is a waste of money. It is only recommended by the Ford Dealers to offset the cost of the equipment that Ford Motor Co. insists that each dealer have. I then contacted the customer service at Ford Motor Co. They told me that I should follow the maintenance guide in the owners manual, not listen to what their dealer recommended. I paid for all of the services, but complained to the service manager that I was talked into doing work which was not reasonable to have performed on my car. He offered to refund the money for the cost of the power steering flush, but I declined. Service manager then told me that Castrucci Ford offers a low cost oil change. The reason that they do this is to get cars into their service department, where they can examine the car for ���preventive maintenance services���. But, get this, he tells me that they make up their own list of what is preventive maintenance. In short Castrucci Ford is recommending services to their customers that are not necessary, according to Ford Motor Co. Service manager also stated that Terry���s job is to review all work orders once the work is finished. Then he is to contact the customer and recommend additional services, based only on their internal ���preventive maintenance service guidelines���. To dedicate one person to doing this full time, shows me that Castrucci is making lots

    They are very courteous and professional. They always put paper in the floor of the cars so that they don't get any of the upholstery dirty. The do their best, and if it's not the way we want it they will take it back and do it again. On this occasion they did a good job replacing a few things, and their service is excellent. They wash the car after servicing. It's done pretty quickly as well; we usually can wait for it.
