Remodeling Kitchen And Bath reviews in Blacklick

I had my shower wall and shower floor replaced, new toiled installed, ceramic floor installed. Staff were extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Excellent craftsmanship. I am pleased with the end result and would not hesitate to recommend this contactor. Cost for total project is exceptional! Mr. Ortiz was always available to answer any questions I had during the process. The crew finished the project before schedule. Very pleased.

The initial mtg. with Luxury Bath went well.  Joey Wray was great!  He broke everything down piece by piece.  He understood exactly what I wanted.  The crew came in on time as scheduled for the 2-day remodel.  Jeremy and crew were very polite, explained what they were going to do each day.  They were great!  I can't say enough about the cleanliness shown from start to finish, no mess!  Any issues I had after the remodel were taken care of in a very timely manner.  I love my new bathroom and would recommend Luxury Bath hands down!

As the start of some needed updates to our 20 year old home we decided to do our master bath first. Things started off well enough but things started to drag shortly thereafter. What was quoted as a 4 week job turned into 8 weeks (2 weeks were spent just on tiling the shower). The finished job is very good, but there was definitely issues that could have been handled better. Since the completion of the job we have had some issues arise and with a warranty in place called Jacob to handle, he has been completely unresponsive and we will now need these items corrected by another contractor at an additional cost to us.

Contacted George Baker via email on June 16th 2017 regarding a bathroom remodel we need done. He responded very fast (good sign right? Wrong!). After a few emails back and forth and a text the next week as he said he would we decided he would come out Friday June 23rd to look at the job for an estimate between 5 or 530pm. He called at 557 and said time flew by and was just leaving the job he was on in Worthington. He apologized and asked to reschedule. Things happen I understand and was willing to give him another shot. We agreed on Sunday at 630 to come out. He said he was going to be home all weekend also he only lives about 10 miles from me. Sunday comes and goes and Mr George Baker does not show or call. After reading reviews he has a lot of A rated reviews but a common theme is he is always late or busy with excuses. I recommend steering clear of this company if you want a reliable person. The work was never completed nor started so I cannot vouch for the quality

Went great. Eric came out to meet with me and discuss all available options. He spent several days designing options for different layouts and gave me several options. I was really impressed with his creative side and different finishes. Eric kept me informed on a regular basis about timelines and how the progress was going. There was a few things that came up in the process that we didn't expect and he showed us and explained what he needed to do to correct the problem. It was nice knowing we found a contractor that didn't want to cover things up and wanted to give us the product that met our expectations. At the end of the project I was truly amazed. All I can say is Great Job and I hope other people can enjoy your workmanship like I did.

The services were well performed but the manager/primary contact was not timely in his call backs. That was the most frustrating part which caused delays in resolving open items. But his contractors were very good and the job was well done!

Gates professionalism from the beginning was noticeable.  They listened to the ideas we had, offered some suggestions and then let us be a part of each significant milestone and decision of what to do as the project moved along.  The speed at which they completed the project was surprising, they showed up on time each day and kept us informed about what would be happening next and approximately when the project would be complete.  The finished project surpassed all of our expectations and we would not hesitate to use them again should we need any more remodeling in the future.

They were fantastic throughout the process. Randy (the company owner) is super helpful when trying to come up with what materials to use and which ones work together. He will give awesome advice throughout. We got to go buy all the supplies ourselves and so we got to shop around and see what was out there as far as tile and grout. The tile guy they have was so talented and diligent resulting in perfect tile work. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend them to anyone!

He fit me in to his busy schedule. And worked me in within a week of me first calling him. He did exceptional work and was willing to take the time to explain everything he was doing. Also I called a dozen different places before reaching Ashby home repair and the all quoted me a price of double the amount that I paid with Ashby home repair. Also Mr Ashby took pride in his work and made sure that everything was kept clean and neat and was willing to dispose of the old sinks and faucets for me .

Truthfully, we would go with a different contractor if we were to do it again.
If you are looking for a contractor I would suggest going with one that does not use sub contractors.  This is for two reasons.
One, it takes a whole lot longer when subs are used..  We were told our job would take 11 weeks.  It ended up taking 19 weeks with a ton of down time.  There was one month where work was only done 4 days of the month.  A contractor with a crew needs to keep that crew busy, but if they are using subs it doesn't matter as much if there is downtime between subcontractors.
The second reason I would suggest not using a business like Just Basements that only uses subcontractors is that there is a wide range in quality of the subs.  The carpenter and electrician did excellent work.  However, the painter not so much.  Our AV person and window treatment person both made comments about the poor paint job  The worst subcontractor was the HVAC contractor (American Air).  They did a horrible job.  Our HVAC system prior to the work had a board allowing for 4 zones.  Two zones were used, one on the first floor and one on the second floor.  They should have made the basement a third zone.  Instead whenever the AC or heat goes on for the first or second floor it also goes to the basement.  It is horribly inefficient and had resulted in our electrical bills doubling.  Yikes!  It is also uncomfortably cold in the summer in our basement.  If you finish your basement get a plan for the HVAC system and run it by the person who normally services your HVAC system.  When Buckeye Heating and Cooling looked at they way our basement was installed they were not impressed.  There is only one air return which is located in a narrow hallway only inches from the furnace.   I think that was the cheapest place to install it, but we should have had three or four air returns.
The other major problem we had with Just Basements is that they email a picture of what our NatraStone egress window would look like during the bid process.  It turned out they sent a picture of a much more premium window.  We were very sorely disappointed with the window that was actually installed.  I would not use Just Basements if you would like an egress window.   I do not think that is something they are very familiar with.
