Appliance Repair reviews in Blacklick

I called Steele's and left my name, basic problem details and 2 call back numbers - work & cell - but no one called back. It's been over 24 hours and I need to call another repair company b/c the refrigerator isn't working. I always want to be careful with these reviews b/c there might be a reasonable reason for the issue but also want other users to know about the experience.

Was hard to diagnose because at the time of the service call the fridge was working and the dryer wasn't squeaking. They didn't have the parts needed to fix the probable cause of the fridge issues and they would have had to do it the next day instead. Based on the price and lack of assurance that it would even fix the problem, I decided to pass on the repair. I later decided to buy one of the two recommended parts and install it myself and gamble that it would fix it. (Didn't work - I ended up buying a new fridge instead.) They were kind enough to look at both appliances for the same service fee so I still felt it was a worthwhile venture.

Outstanding. Brandon saved the day. I had many questions and he was patient and answered them all. Giving me the best deal, I felt I was treated like a respected customer. I used them in the past and am grateful I chose to use them again.

I had problems with both my washer and my dryer. Turns out my washer was not wringing out all the water so the dryer wasn't able to get it all dry. I was able to get my dryer working but when they came out I had to pay for 2 service calls. I asked cant you wrap it into one, its one visit and they said no I called for two different things. In the past I had them work on my dishwasher and refrigerator and that was one service call and they said they do not do it like that anymore. He could not fix my washing machine and could not find the serial number. I had to pay him two service calls for nothing he fixed and had to buy a new washing machine.

He came when he said he would, got right to it. Took the dryer apart, replaced the tension pulley, inspected the other parts (rollers, ect) put on the belt, and it was done! I am glad I had Jeff do it because I would not of wanted to take the dryer apart to the degree he had to. It is easy to take things apart, but putting them back together again can sometimes be a challenge.

The service rep, Steve, was prompt and called to let us know when he was thirty minutes from our house. Once here, he put on shoe covers before coming in the house. He was very professional the entire time here, answering any questions we had and making sure he had covered everything before leaving. His work was excellent.

Tim did an awesome job at fixing my washing machine. He was able to figure out what parts to bring just by me describing the problem over the phone. He was prompt, professional, and the charge was very reasonable.

This is the second time we've used BJ Appliance and we wouldn't use anyone else!  Bill, the owner, is the person who does the service call.  He's very knowledgeable and professional.  And did I mention responsive!  He was very careful to not damage the floor or cabinets, even though he had to pull the wall oven out of the wall.  He takes his time and is meticulous in getting the repair done right.  Thanks, Bill!

Do NOT use this service.  Jenna is one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to.  She basically accused me of lying.  The drain in my refrigerator went out and Whirlpool told me there would NOT be a diagnostics fee since they already knew what the issue was.  Capital City Appliance was who they set the appt up with to fix it.  Jenna contacted me from CCAS and stated they would be charging me a diagnostics fee (trip fee) regardless of what Whirlpool stated.  When the technician came, he was extremely nice and he adjusted the pricing because he agreed I should not be charged that.  Jenna contacted me today and was screaming and yelling at me on the phone basically saying I should have never had this conversation with the technician that she already told me they were charging it and I should have paid it.  She continued to scream at me that and make accusations that I basically was not telling the truth in regards to my conversation with the tech when he basically told her the exact same story I did.  I am in the service industry myself and I have NEVER spoken to or have had anyone speak to me in the manner that she did. I can not believe this business still employs her.  There are several reviews on Google (41 to be exact) I just found that only rate them 1 star and a lot of them complain about Jenna.  My suggestion, they don't deserve your business if they feel it is ok to treat their customers rudely and accuse them of lying.  I rarely write reviews but this is how strongly I feel this company should not be used.  I have also put a review on yelp and Google.  I'm a single female the actually depends heavily on reviews when I need some type of service so I thought it was only fair I warned others of this company.  Thank you for letting me write this review.  I hope it helps someone.
