Chimney Repair reviews in Bexley

  • It initially took a few days for him to return call my call but when he did, he was very kind and was able to come out next day. He was punctual and very friendly, inspected the chimney, cleaned it, showed me pictures, and since I've never owned a house with a chimney before, was very patient in answering all my questions and showed me the best way to build a fire. Price was reasonable and will definitely call again.

  • I was shown photos of the work when it was completed and I am satisfied that the work was completed well. I believe I only waited 1 full day between the time that I scheduled and the time the work was completed. I needed to hire a company that accepted credit cards and they did allow me to do that. I am confident that the estimate of repairs was honest, as I recently purchased my home, so I compared my estimate with my home inspection report and everything matched up. I will contact them again in the future.

  • I am kind of torn between an A and a B, because the only thing is that it was a little bit messy. But other than that, I think he had a fabulous price and it probably stayed as strong as anybody else, because we had other work we had done at our house. But, I think he could improve on that. I think the overall work is a definite improvement to my home. This is where I could go with a B, I do think the quality was very good, but a little messy and he could have come back and cleaned the brick. So, for an example. He came and did everything and there was some of the masonry on the brick. So, I called him, he came back out and he fixed that, along with a few of the cracks that I pointed out that he had missed. On the work, he did the second time that he came out. It was messy and I would have to call him to come back out. It?s not extremely substances, but I think that my foundation is definitely more water tight. Very glad I had the work done. It was just that one thing, if he could have not been messy with it, then I would have given him an A.

  • This went very well. We interviewed several potential contractors from Angie's List. Bradford Xtreriors was first and that was very fortunate. We knew we needed to deal with the patch. We did not know how old the roof is and what condition it was in, so our plan was to determine if we should get a whole knew roof (now or in the near future) of just fix the garage. After doing his inspection, which included photos on a tablet, he explained what he observed and what he thought it indicated about what did or din not need to be done. In addition, he advised me about two historic weather events that resulted in most people in our area getting new roofs in the early 2000s. That meant, while he could have tried to sell us a whole roof, we learned that we can count on our roof lasting as long as we plan to live in the house unless something unexpected happens. This also helped us evaluate the other bids we got. Dave showed up on time for the bid and the work. He responded to calls and emails promptly. He was very professional in explaining what he would do and why, how he would do it and how long it would take. He was flexible about our schedule. In terms of quality, I cannot see where the new shingles start and stop on the roof of the garage. Very well done. Do as your roofing contractor to share pictures with you and to explain what s/he believes about how old the roof is, why, the quality of the type and quality of shingles in the old roof and the proposed new roof.

  • Excellent! Chris Hawk is a true professional. He and his team didn't stop until they found the source of the leaking that had caused extensive damage to my plaster inside my house. They also fixed several other smaller issues along the way. On the basis of that, I also hired them to install the gutters and downspouts on my new addition. Again, they did top-notch work -- not only making sure the gutters and downspouts were properly installed, but also painting them to match the existing ones (I supplied the paint). And then, when I needed an attic fan, Chris found the fan I needed and modified it to be safely installed. Finally, my painter found some fascia on the older part of the house that was rotting, and Chris and his team came out and installed new fascia, reattached the gutters, and again painted so that you can't tell that there has been a repair. They do consistently excellent work. I've hired a lot of roofers to deal with a recurring issue that they finally fixed. I will hire them again for any future work that I need.

  • Ron came out the day after I called to give me an estimate. Price was reasonable so I decided to have him do the work. Leo came out less than a week later to do the job. He was on time, courteous, and was willing to answer questions. After he was done, he explained what he did and why he did it. Work looked great. I am need of a roof in a few years and will definitely consider this company for that task.

  • The guys were prompt, polite, and thorough. At the end I got a detailed list of what they inspected, what the results were, and any recommended work. Very little was recommended to do (which I appreciated...they didn't try to take advantage of me), and we will likely call them back next season to perform the work. Overall a great experience.

  • Project did not initially go well. Shingles were delivered to worksite, stored uncovered (for a week) and installed all in extremely poor weather conditions (below 20 degrees, with snow on the existing roof).  Due to the poor weather, the worksite was a disaster, we found over 60 nails scattered around the house (and are still picking up pieces of roofing underlayment). The shingles didn't initially seal, weren't laying flat, plus the workers installed white flashing on our stone chimney without our consent. We were concerned that the shingles were installed in conditions that were not recommended by the manufacturers (per the Atlas website). Based on this, I would have given them a grade of D right after the project was completed.
After voicing our concerns, the owner visited our home and agreed with most of our complaints. He suggested holding off on paying the remaining balance due ($2,011) until the issues could be addressed in the spring/summer of 2015 (we needed several weeks of hot weather to determine whether or not the shingles would seal properly).  Workers replaced the flashing, so it blends in with the chimney, and inspected the roof on several occasions until they (and my husband and I) were satisfied that the shingle adhesive sealed properly. I appreciate the fact the owner worked with us and tried to correct the company's mistakes, however I would not use this company again. Ultimately, time will tell whether or not the roofing materials were compromised due to poor installation procedures.

  • Arnold and his team did a great job repairing and rebuilding my old and deteriorating chimneys.  They deep raked the existing joints, filled them with new mortar, and struck the joints to match my existing brick joints.  The second chimney was rebuilt from the roof up and looks great.  They completed the work quickly in about three days, and cleaned up after themselves before leaving.  I asked to climb up on the scaffolding to see how the work was progressing, and they were able to explain their work and findings accurately.  The price was a bit high, but certainly worth the quality I was after.  I certainly would use this team again.

  • Great work by Arnold and his team at Integrity Masonry!

Arnold first came out to the house prior to the purchase of our home to provide a quote. After we closed on the house, he returned to conduct the work. It was done promptly and since it took a couple days for the work to be completed, Arnold was in constant communication about the progress.  While working above the roofline, some of the bricks simply deteriorated and he re-built a part of the chimney without charging us above the quote.  And then, after the work was done, Arnold came and laid mulch in the flower bed around the chimney. Really great guys!
