    Over the past 20 years, George has been the sole technician to work on my Boston GP156. He transformed it from its factory state (already lovely), into a truly unique, remarkable instrument through voicing and action regulation. Another piano technician (and a fine pianist) visited to make some music and immediately asked who my current tech was and he, whoever he was, did a wonderful job with the instrument. He is delightful, thorough--and an absolute artist.

    The team were very courteous and careful. It was a damp rainy day and they covered the piano very well. They were careful with not only the piano but were careful of the floors and the doors of both the houses. I was very pleased.

    Bischof Interiors Inc. is excellent. He's very straight forward and very honest. He does excellent, excellent work. He does what he says he's going to do and the quality of the work is good. We've used him before. He re-did a sofa for us years ago and it came back to us looking new. It's still holding up well. He's been in the business his entire life and is very good. I don't have any complaints at all. His prices are fair and right in the middle of other companies. Considering the quality of work he does, I don't mind paying for it. I brought 10 or 12 sample books to the house. A lot of the other places I called weren't even going to bother with that. They wanted me to take pictures and email them in to them. Bischof gives a different level of service and provides a throwback to an earlier time. He's very punctual and is there when he says he will be.

    I spent several hours in the showroom at Trevarrow.  Matt Kyser was very helpful in evaluating the best model.  He also pointed out the innovations and suggested care.  I subsequently purchased my Sub-Zero from David Lemire at Cleveland Tile which is a participating dealer.  Now that I know about Trevarrow, I would never purchase kitchen equipment without a consultation with Matt Kyser.

    William and the team at Eden did a beautiful job refinishing and repairing an antique sideboard -it has been in the family 4 generations - so far. The original finish was dark, dirty, crackly -lots of dings and nicks. The hardware was coming undone and looked terrible - one piece was partially missing. The guys came to the house bundled it up and said they would have it back in a week to ten day - I thought 'no way - I've heard that before - I might see it again in 2 or 3 months if I'm lucky.' A week later I got a call; it was done and when could they drop it off. It is beautiful. The finish glows the hardware is polished and repaired - the missing part has been replaced with a similarly shaped piece and matches beautifully - I had to look closely to notice where the replacement is located. They even revealed some inlay that was completely obscured. I am very happy with the work.
    Since September 2013 they have done several other smaller jobs - all beautifully done with great care and pride. I am currently waiting for them to pick up a table that needs a large dose of TLC - I feel very sure it too will be beautiful after Eden is done with it.
    The one big note - you must have patience - once they have the piece it takes no time for them to finish, but it can take a while for your turn (but worth having patience).

    We had been all over town looking for reuplhostering fabrics with little
    luck and much disappointment, until we made the drive to Western
    Reserve Decorator Fabrics in Tallmadge, Ohio.
    This is a well designed, user friendly store, clean and organized which many, many of the other reuplhostering fabric stores can not say.   Western Reserve Decorator Fabrics lives exceeds their modest reputation.   And we drove 45 minutes to go because we could not find an outlet we were happy with closer by.
    But beyond the well-organized shop making viewing fabric samples simple and comfortable, their help really helps.
    Raphael offered his assistance in a very earnest way, in fact he researched materials we were interested in and emailed us the information regarding these before arranging samples to be mailed to us.    So the customer service Western Reserve Decorator  Fabrics makes it possible to easily order a multitude of fabric choices that otherwise we would have never found.
    Well worth the trip Western Reserve Decorator Fabrics sets the standard in Northeastern Ohio for your reupholstering needs.

    J&J has impeccable integrity, so when they tell me that the washer is not worth repairing, I believe them.  Based on my past experience, I believe that they are reliable.  I bought their Crosley Washing Machine on their recommendation and have had no problem whatsoever.  I will NEVER buy another GE appliance because they refuse to stand behind their warranty.

    On April 6th my husband and I visited Thomasville in North Olmsted.  We were warmly greeted by salesman Ken.  Ken was polite with a southern accent.  He spent a lot of time with us to select the perfect piece of furniture.  We ended up getting a great price on a leather sectional.  When working up the paperwork, I informed Ken that I needed the sectional by the first of May as we were having our housewarming party.  I needed a couch for my guests.  He told me most products arrive in 3-8 weeks - so more than likely mine will be in in time, however if it was late he would send the display model to my house to use temporarily.   He told me the couch ships from North Carolina, and they were in the process of clearing out their warehouse so they can move operations to Ohio.  He didn't think it would be more than a couple weeks.
    My sectional did not arrive in time, and May 4th the display model was delivered.  Along with an extra console piece I did not order.   Ken told me I could use the couch as if it was my own, and mine should be arriving soon for them to swap out.   (He gave me an estimate of May 24th)     Sadly that date came and past with no new couch.  
    Every week or so I called the store, and was given another *excuse* as to why my couch wasn't in yet.  There was a hold up at the factory.  There was a mistake and the couch was put on the wrong truck.   There was a mistake and the couch was sent to Columbus Ohio instead of Cleveland because of a new store opening.   The couch needed to be shipped from China on a container ship!  (this excuse made me angry because I was specifically told this couch was made in North Carolina!!)
    After a couple months, Ken asked if I would be willing to keep the display model.  He would be willing to "throw in" the console that I didn't pay for.  (he claimed the value was $700.... realistically it was maybe $200 - it had a hole in it!)   He also would send out a repairman to fix the holes and damage on the couch - and asked that I pay for half of the repairs!  I almost lost my cool!!  I paid for the warranty - I should not have to pay for a single repair!! Not to mention I purchased a BRAND NEW COUCH!!!  He sent me a DAMAGED used one and is expecting me to pay for half of the repairs?   This repair man was not able to come out until August 4th.  So again... I wait!
    Becoming more frustrated, on July 2nd, I went up to the store and met with Ken.  I told him I was not happy!  I was swindled!!! They took my money I spent on a NEW couch - played the sneaky switch-a-roo - and sent me a damaged used couch.  I asked that I get $500 back, or they would have to send me a new one (which I am entitled to!) that I have paperwork for.   He stood up and said, "You can have your lawyer call our lawyer!"  And walked away!!!  (my jaw hit the floor!!! Did he just threaten me!?)   Within a moment of that, I think he realized what a jerk he sounded like - then turned around and said he was going to talk to the manager about giving me a refund.  HOWEVER, He wasn't sure how much money he could get back, because I got a really good price.  (implying that because I got a good deal I deserved a crappy product and bad service)  I reminded him that I paid a really good price on a NEW couch!!  I was entitled to receive the product I ordered - regardless of what I paid!!  He agreed, that I was treated unfairly, and he would see what he could do.
    Several weeks pass, and of course I hear nothing back.  (typical - they never call me - I always call them)    I called the store and speak with Angie.  She said Ken is no longer with the company and that there are no notes in the system about a refund.   She would have to speak to the owner, but she has no way of getting in contact with him.  He only comes into the store about once every 2 months, and she will try to catch him then.  (really? are you serious?)
    I also called corporate, and they said they are unable to do anything because the stores are independently owned.  They refused to help - only *investigate*.  By the way -- corporate never called me back either!
    So here I am... 20 weeks later!!!!!   I have a used, partially repaired couch in my living room.  I paid a lot of money for a new one - but they apparently don't believe in sending the customers what they ordered.   Ken and the team at Thomasville feel this is completely acceptable to cheat and swindle customers.  This is a terrible company - from the top down!  They are liars!!!
    Oh yeah - I forgot - at one point Angie actually called me back and left a message for me stating that they went ahead and re-ordered the new couch, and that it was available for pickup at the store.  I called her back - and she lied just to get me to call her quickly!!  Who the heck operates this way?! 
    My #1 lesson learned here -- don't pay cash for anything!!!  Use your credit card so at least you can do a chargeback.  They have my money - I have their garbage Chinese piece of use furniture.

    Keith (owner) has done 2 custom projects for me. Fixing and Upholstering an old sofa and refinishing and upholstering an antique platform rocker. Both times service has been amazing, and results incredible!! The sofa in particular was in shambles, falling apart, stuffing and springs all over. I was going to trash it - but Keith insisted he could fix it! That it has a good frame and he saw the potential in it! The man has a gift. He took something that should have been in a dumpster and turned into a high end piece of furniture that will last a 100 years! I absolutely love this company and just commissioned him yesterday to work on the 3rd project.... another old beat up sofa! I can't wait to see it! :-)

    UPDATE: 8/22 3rd sofa came out FABULOUS!!! Better than I even expected it to be!

    I had originally bought a dishwasher and microwave and had planned on having them install both pieces. The night before the delivery, I checked the dishwasher electric cord and found that it was not properly in place. I called the company immediately and canceled the dishwasher. It was a very easy thing to do; no hassle. They came and installed the microwave no problem.
