Concrete Driveway Installation reviews in Berea

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Bill's team worked hard everyday to complete the job. His team removed dead trees and rocks from the property, dug deep trenches and installed a complete drainage system around the garage and yard and attached it to the city sewer system through my neighbor's back yard. He leveled the yard, placed top soil and replanted the grass. He also installed a new driveway with a drain, fixed several city sidewalk areas and installed a beautiful stamped concrete ramp to my front stoop. I am trilled with the results and would hire them again for any work I need in the future. Bill and his team are top notch.

  • I was surprised to return home from errands to see that the sealant was applied even though rain was predicted. Joe left an invoice with a notation that it was applied at 8:30 a.m. with a dry time of 3 hours, which did not agree with the research I had done. Indeed it began raining after noon and continued for most of the day. I contacted Joe to say that I felt the application was not effective due to the rain. I spoke with 2 manufacturers who recommended that another coat be applied. He disagreed, but I held firm that this did not meet the manufacturer's recommendation. He finally agreed to apply another coat. Joe came on a morning where the air temperature was 40º, but the temperature had gone down to 32º the night before. I told him that the driveway was still too cold for application of the sealant, but he insisted that it wasn't a problem, in spite of what I knew to be the manufacturer's recommendation. He continued to insist that it wasn't a problem, and I finally backed down and let him apply it. White puddles surfaced in a short time, which is indicates moisture underneath and results in poor adhesion. I could see where he sprayed and it didn't even overlap. I fear that my driveway is still not adequately protected.

  • Once they got to our house, everything went pretty well.  They're pretty busy and we had actually contracted for them to do the work the summer before our pour and they couldn't get to us.  We're very happy with the driveway.  They did a pretty mediocre job of sealing the driveway, but that's no biggie, we just fixed it up.  But I would definitely recommend them to anyone who asks.

  • They were pretty good about calling you and responding. We usually go with the companies that have good responsiveness. Make sure they can come when they say. They told us they would be here the beginning of August, but now we are on the schedule for April. I just wish they could of came when they said they would.

  • One day was devoted to removal of old cement drive way and side walks.  Guy and his two sons have all the equipment needed to do this properly and efficiently.  Then form boards were installed to form and hold cement along with wire mesh and stone base was compacted. They go to great length to protect my lawn from damage by their equipment by laying plywood paths and splash guards to protect foundation during installation of cement.  Several days latter came cement pouring day which shows their mastery of the process.  Like a finely time ballet of carting, pouring, troweling, smoothing the concrete. Followed by installation of expansion joints and fine texturing of the surface to a handsome finish, I am most impressed.  Sealant was applied on the same day and I payed Guy for a second application as required several weeks later.  A year and a half latter and every thing is still in great shape.

  • had to reschedule due to lots of rain this summer, but I felt very safe to have him do the work while I was gone for prox 2 wks after he just began job, he came back later and filled in top soil along new driveway and was as careful as possible with my plantings. He was recommended by a friend and I have received several positive comments on the work he did.

  • There are white spots here and there and it goes from shiny to dull to shiny to dull. He does not answer my calls and he does not respond to my emails. I looked up the process of what he was supposed to do and I do not believe it could be done in half a day like he said he did.

  • When they uncovered the old drain it was discovered that it went off into the yard somewhere and not to the sewer next to the driveway.  Guy Campea said the sewer was too low to allow a new drain to work properly, so he suggested pitching the driveway higher at one end to cause rain to drain toward the sewer on the opposite side, so the job was done without any drain tiles.  The night after the driveway was completed, it rained and rained, and the driveway drained perfectly, just like he said it would.  They were terrific, friendly hard-working guys and they completed the job fast and left no mess.

  • The first contact we made with them was on a Saturday morning. We left message with several companies and Rossi called us back within a half hour. The other companies didn't call back until Monday or Tuesday. I realized we called on a weekend and really didn't expect a call back until Monday so we were suprised how fast Rossi responded. We felt like they really wanted our business. They came out that same day and gave an estimate. John Rossi was very knowledgeable and explained to us exactly what they would do.

They were a little higher than other estimates but because of John's knowledge and years in business we decided to go with them.

It took a couple months before they were able to do the work. We were having a lot of rain so they got behind, I can understand that but only wish they would of kept in touch with us. My husband had to call several times to see when they would be out.

Rossi did a beautiful job and we are happy with the driveway.

  • The gentleman that owns the business took me to the places that he did in my neighborhood and showed me the differences in years of concrete wear. He also gave us many references to check for the quality of the work that had been done in the past and present. I was able to see that there was a consistent quality in the work. He took a lot of time and explained things very thoroughly. He explained about his materials and how he was going to go about his work and what the timeline was going to be. We were able to negotiate a real good price. I did get several other estimates. I was very impressed with the amount of time he took. He was the cheapest and also he was the most thorough. The information he gave us was identical to what we had looked up. That wasn't the same with the other two guys. They found that the electrical work that led from the house to a corner light at the edge of the driveway had been covered up by the previous concrete and they went out of their way to install an electrical line to that fixture correctly. We were out of town and they didn't get a chance to let us know that they had done that and they did it at no extra charge. That line was attached also to a refrigerator that we had so we had to replace everything in it but that wasn't their fault. It was more than we had expected and they didn't charge us for that. They have been around for many, many years and they have a good reputation.
