Appliance Repair reviews in Berea

I described the problem, and he asked a lot of questions. The fridge and freezer were maintaining the proper temperature. He said that it was probably food or a spill that was creating the odor. He suggested that I clean it out, and call him back if the problem continued. I finally found a lemon that was moldy, and that was the culprit. He could have easily and simply made a house call, but he took the time to ask me what my problem was. Therefore I consider him to be honest, and will call him with any future large appliance problems.

After having problems with two refrigerators at my house for almost a week, I called several appliance repair businesses on Angie's List trying to get someone to come out the same day as to avoid throwing away more food. I called early in the morning and Jim told me he would be out in the afternoon. He called me at 1:30 and was at my house shortly after 2:00. He was very professional and courteous and communicated the issues to my wife since I wasn't home. I certainly appreciated his quick response time and communication and I would definitely call him again.

Called Slawinski Plumbing & Maintenance for service to toilet leaking at the base based on reviews I read on Angie's List. He arrived about five minutes early and got right to work. Replaced toilet wax ring to repair the leakage. Also replaced rusted water supply line and replaced a washer on what I believe was the fill valve. Completed several tests to ensure proper operation. Did a complete clean up after work was finished.

Did not respond within 24 hrs as promised. Technician did not have the required part to make a repair and recommended that because of potential additional complications that would become a costly repair we might want to just purchase a new washer.

J&J has impeccable integrity, so when they tell me that the washer is not worth repairing, I believe them.  Based on my past experience, I believe that they are reliable.  I bought their Crosley Washing Machine on their recommendation and have had no problem whatsoever.  I will NEVER buy another GE appliance because they refuse to stand behind their warranty.

After the initial call to assess the probem, parts were ordered and arrived promptly.  The service person was very efficient and did many additional things to make the refrigerator function better like rearrangement of shelves, etc.  He provided a lot of helpful information.

Service man came during window of time he said he would be here.
He was able to swiftly identify the problem and communicated it to me, along with the price of repairing the item.
The price seemed a little high, but less than replacing the dryer, so we went ahead with it.
He had the part in his vehicle and replaced the heating element within a short period of time.
It has been working well since he replaced the heating element.
There is a 90 day warranty on parts and service.

I purchased the GE Profile Electric Self-Cleaning Range in May 2008. Within 2 years the front left burner stopped heating all together. I procastinated calling anyone to repair the burned out burner because we do not cook as often as we did when our children were younger and lived at home. I finally got around to addressing this issue in July 2012. Matt came out and indicated to me that he had not worked on one of these ranges before. After he disassembled the stove top, 1 hour or so, he determined that the burner element was non-functional. After calling his supplier, Matt indicated that the GE replacement part would cost him $150.00 or so and that if I wanted to phone GE and tell them my story I could probably get a better price for the same genuine GE part needed. Matt provided me with the part number and counseled me to call GE. I did so the next day, and after talking with 3-4 customer service persons and indicating to them that we did not use the burner much, GE sold me the new, fully warranted item for $68.00. This was less than half the price that Matt was quoted. We called Matt to come out to install the part and thanked him for his wise counsel in allowing us, and telling us how to call GE, to save so much money on the cost on the replacement part. We are very happy with Allied Appliance Maintenance and highly recommend them to anyone looking to have an appliance repaired without breaking the bank.

Our LG refrigerator stopped working, so we started looking for somebody to come service it. Looking at only and quot;Aand quot; rated companies in Angie's List, we called four different companies. None of them would service an LG refrigerator, so we called LG and asked for the name of a local repair service. That was Complete Appliance Service.
Our technician was on time, courteous, and honest. After looking at the refrigerator, he explained to us that a fuse on the circuit board had blown. The official remedy for this is to replace the entire board, because the fuse is soldered into the board. He estimated about $400 to replace the board. However, he also explained that we could find a replacement fuse on our own, and simply replace the fuse.
Including the cost of tools (about $15 for soldering equipment at Radio Shack), and the cost of two fuses ($2.50 each: I only needed one, but wanted to have a spare on hand), I paid about $20 for the repair!
Complete Appliance Service will be the first call we make, the next time an appliance needs repair in our household!

They analyzed my refrigerator problem, which turned out to be two unrelated problems. I am an engineer, so I can be overly inquisitive about the technical aspects of the problem, and the technician did a great job explaining the situation. After fixing the first problem, he explained the possible scenarios and the various costs, and we decided to give the repair a try. His best guess was right on, and he was able to fix the second problem and put my fridge back in operation. He did a great job cleaning up and had good tools to avoid scratching my new laminate floor.
