    J & A Affordable Home Improvement
Service went well. Worked with J & A to procure all materials. J & A were timely and professional through the entire process. Even after a small plumbing issue, they came out early the next morning to correct the issue. We like out new bathroom and plan on using J & A for other home projects in the future.

    Quality Home Renovations LLC
Very professional, knows what he's doing, and he hires the right people. He is very fair, he doesn't over promise and under deliver, he delivers exactly what he says he will. I have already referred them to others, and would hire them again.

    Ahrens Architectural Woodworking, llc
Thomas came to my home to look at my kitchen cabinet problem and offer what he felt like was the best solution to make the modification to the kitchen cabinet.  He took a matching shelf with him for color matching.  He brought the new wood pieces back and installed them.  It is a very close match in color which is not easy to achieve for aged natural cherry.  Now the opening for the refrigerator is a standard size and looks so much better!
Thomas did a great job.  I would use him again and will certainly recommend him to my friends.
Additionally, Thomas has recommended two other tradesmen -- a plumber and a tiler.  So far I have engaged the plumber and he also did a great job.

    Johnson's Professional Painting
Travis and his partner are responsive, professional and high quality when it comes to their work. I called and left a voicemail about obtaining a quote and he called back the same day. He came out 2 days later to quote the job and then the work started about 10 days later. I was on a tight schedule and they were very flexible and accommodating of that. Travis was always quick to return phone calls or texts when I had any questions. They did a great job and I was very happy with their work. After they were finished, I ended up not liking the color I picked out for the bathroom. They were kind enough to come back the next day (their day off) and repaint the whole bathroom and trim for a fraction of what they should've charged me. We had plans to replace the trim in the bathroom in the next few years but with how Travis fixed it up so well, we no longer have to do that. Of course, my husband was very surprised and happy about that! We will hire them again in the near future to repaint a few more rooms in our home once we settle on colors.

Handyman Matters of Dayton & Cincinnati

Jason replaced a kitchen faucet.  The old faucet was difficult to remove because of some rust, and contrary to what I first thought, it was not just loose, it had broken off at the handle.  Jason did a good job with this and installed a new faucet without any issues.  He also put back the cover of a bathroom fan that had given me some trouble.

Jim replaced the water supply line to my dishwasher, which had apparently developed a small leak.  This leak was discovered while a new floor was installed earlier in the week.  I was very concerned to get the issue fixed quickly and correctly.  Jim identified the problem immediately and replaced the necessary parts with his usual expertise, for which I am very grateful.  He also replaced (2) water filter cartridges in my basement.

I continue to have good experiences with Handyman Matters of Dayton and will use them again.

    Gardner Restoration
Well... We contacted Gardner Restoration to give us an estimate for our master bathroom/laundry room remodel. The guy seemed very professional and courteous, he took pictures and measurements of the space to be remodel, said the estimate would be ready in two weeks and left. A couple of weeks later we got a thank you postcard on the mail from them for choosing their company and said that our estimate would be available the following week...and...that was all! We never heard from them again! No estimate, no call, no email, NOTHING!

    Revolution Remodeling
It took a long time to get the work done, but the end product was great.  It took multiple trips to pick out the materials to use.  It took so long because we weren’t as involved at first and then we had to drive around 50 miles to get to their showroom. Also, the communication could have been better.

    Dayton Home Remodeling
Job was great from start to finish. Mike did a great job with the quote, Brian insured all details were covered and George and his crew did a superb, and professional job with the demolition and installation. George bent over backwards to make sure we were happy and all the details were completed with perfection. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a top notch renovation.

    Gardner Restoration
As a company, very friendly.  Mr. Gardner was the saving grace of this company and kept this review from being much worse.  With that being said, the day to day workers were of limited competency and caused much stress to me and especially my wife.  Plumbing was installed from garbage disposal that leaked, turned out the plastic pipe was crimped and damaged on the inside.  I ended up fixing this myself.  Sink had a loose faucet that required two or three repeat trips to repair.  Ceiling light over kitchen sink had poor spackling above it that required three trips to fix.  The light still appears skewed slightly. Countertops had a noticeable seam crack that needed realignment of the countertop.  Lazy Susan doors were crooked.  I ended up having to realign them myself and noticed that a large piece of the cabinet behind the hinge was damaged preventing it from being properly attached.
All in all a bad experience, but not due to Mr Gardner trying to remedy these things, we were just fatigued with all the repeat trips after several months.  If he had more competent workers things would have gone better.  The one good worker we had ended up having to leave the company and the workers remaining were not quite up to the task.

    Carpenter Home Improvement
Brad came in to help complete a full kitchen remodel after I had fired the original contractor.  Brad essentially had to undo the beginning of an installation by the previous contractor because the cabinets which had been installed were not level.  There were a series of  other issues which also had to get addressed as well which were very time consuming.
Brad had an excellent attitude and knowledge about the issues which needed to be addressed.  He walked me through the details and always explained thoroughly what needed to be done and why.  He has a meticulous attention to detail which shows in the quality of his work.  He leaves no stone unturned  and does not cut corners in any way in the quality of his work.  He called me into several decisions to make sure I understood what he was doing and why, and asked my opinion on many decisions before he made them.
Brad's knowledge and skill set is expansive.  He installed a microwave, an oven, a sink, faucets, the kitchen cabinets, cabinet hardware, base moulding trim, adjusted a bathroom faucet for me which had been installed improperly from the previous contractor, and painted walls and ceilings for me in three rooms.
I couldn't be happier with the quality of his work and would highly recommend him to anyone.  My only *complaint*, if you would even call it that, is that I like things written down in terms of bids on jobs and the work which is being bid.  Brad kept these details in his head, but I wrote them all down to make sure we didn't overlook anything or forget anything.  However, I never felt he was being dishonest with me about anything.  It is simply a detail issue that I'm persnickety about.
He's bids are fair, he is straight forward, his workmanship is excellent, and his crew is excellent as well
