    Johnson's Professional Painting
Travis and his partner are responsive, professional and high quality when it comes to their work. I called and left a voicemail about obtaining a quote and he called back the same day. He came out 2 days later to quote the job and then the work started about 10 days later. I was on a tight schedule and they were very flexible and accommodating of that. Travis was always quick to return phone calls or texts when I had any questions. They did a great job and I was very happy with their work. After they were finished, I ended up not liking the color I picked out for the bathroom. They were kind enough to come back the next day (their day off) and repaint the whole bathroom and trim for a fraction of what they should've charged me. We had plans to replace the trim in the bathroom in the next few years but with how Travis fixed it up so well, we no longer have to do that. Of course, my husband was very surprised and happy about that! We will hire them again in the near future to repaint a few more rooms in our home once we settle on colors.

Handyman Matters of Dayton & Cincinnati

Jason replaced a kitchen faucet.  The old faucet was difficult to remove because of some rust, and contrary to what I first thought, it was not just loose, it had broken off at the handle.  Jason did a good job with this and installed a new faucet without any issues.  He also put back the cover of a bathroom fan that had given me some trouble.

Jim replaced the water supply line to my dishwasher, which had apparently developed a small leak.  This leak was discovered while a new floor was installed earlier in the week.  I was very concerned to get the issue fixed quickly and correctly.  Jim identified the problem immediately and replaced the necessary parts with his usual expertise, for which I am very grateful.  He also replaced (2) water filter cartridges in my basement.

I continue to have good experiences with Handyman Matters of Dayton and will use them again.

Handyman Matters of Dayton & Cincinnati

Jim was very diligent in chasing down the mice problem and so far I have had no more issues, for which I am very grateful.

I had an exterminator out earlier who had pointed out several possible problem areas to me, which were all addressed.  Jim has done work for me several times before and I have always been very satisfied.  He is very professional with any of the jobs I have needed done and always leaves everything cleaned up.

I will definitely call Handyman Matters again in the future.

    Carpenter Home Improvement
Brad came in to help complete a full kitchen remodel after I had fired the original contractor.  Brad essentially had to undo the beginning of an installation by the previous contractor because the cabinets which had been installed were not level.  There were a series of  other issues which also had to get addressed as well which were very time consuming.
Brad had an excellent attitude and knowledge about the issues which needed to be addressed.  He walked me through the details and always explained thoroughly what needed to be done and why.  He has a meticulous attention to detail which shows in the quality of his work.  He leaves no stone unturned  and does not cut corners in any way in the quality of his work.  He called me into several decisions to make sure I understood what he was doing and why, and asked my opinion on many decisions before he made them.
Brad's knowledge and skill set is expansive.  He installed a microwave, an oven, a sink, faucets, the kitchen cabinets, cabinet hardware, base moulding trim, adjusted a bathroom faucet for me which had been installed improperly from the previous contractor, and painted walls and ceilings for me in three rooms.
I couldn't be happier with the quality of his work and would highly recommend him to anyone.  My only *complaint*, if you would even call it that, is that I like things written down in terms of bids on jobs and the work which is being bid.  Brad kept these details in his head, but I wrote them all down to make sure we didn't overlook anything or forget anything.  However, I never felt he was being dishonest with me about anything.  It is simply a detail issue that I'm persnickety about.
He's bids are fair, he is straight forward, his workmanship is excellent, and his crew is excellent as well

    Dave's Handyman Service
He arrived promptly, behaved in a professional manner, but his work was not what I expected.  The painting was sloppy, uneven and left drip marks.  He attempted to repair bifold doors to the laundry area and that only lasted about three days before the one side was off track again. Although he was a very pleasant person, overall, we were pretty disappointed with the quality of his work.

    Wizards With Tools
they definitely live up to their name! they were fast, efficient and friendly, explaining their work and the mechanics of how things worked as they went through my list. A few repairs required replacement parts and they gave very good instructions on hwo to go to Loew's/Home Depot and find/ask for the parts. I also needed repair to a door lock, and they were able to get the part and saved me from having to buy a full lock replacement. They came back to install the replacment parts and did not charge any more for their time. I offered to pay for the lock part, they only charged me $6. Since they covered all of my original list, i went looking for other jobs, and they took on the zipper repair job, and a few others without hesitation.
I would reccomend them without hesitation.

    One Handyman & A Van
He has been awesome. His name is James Payne. I spent $100 the last time, but before that he did 2 pages of small odd jobs that was about $4000. He did anything from plastering to parking to putting in a new ceiling. He's great. He helped me get my house ready to sell. When I suggested some things that I thought I needed to do, he helped me save money by pointing out some things that I should do and how I could make things look good without spending a lot of money. He did not have expertise to do some plumbing so he brought in someone to help him and just included it in the price.

    Handyman Enterprises
Steven had us sign a contract with him to clean out the flood damage for $34,000.00 which is high, but at the time we needed the help and he was there. He told us he would have our house back in order and the problem taken are of so it would look showroom ready. It is now June 13th and our basement is still not clean. They have torn out our paneling (cedar barn siding) and drywall. They have put our things in tubs and the tubs are now in every room of our home and on our deck. Steven came to us requesting an additional $10,000.00 to finish the job, which we refused to pay since we had already paid him $34,000.00 and the work had not been completed. He took his crew and left. Our basement is getting dry and we still have dehumidifiers in our basement. My house, however, smells musty and they never sprayed anything to control mold. . I found they even stored some of our stuff wet. They stored everything in large tubs; our stuff is just thrown in them and some tubs that had stuff in them would get knocked over and they just tossed them around. I found my clothes in the bottom of tubs that were wet. In order for us to get to the tubs that had water in them we had to take stuff out of the tubs because we couldn’t lift the tubs. I had a king size comforter that was soaked, wool blankets and bedspreads and all sitting in water for 2 ½ weeks stored in totes. I just couldn’t believe it. I have talked to the attorney general’s office and the letter Steven sent them is completely inaccurate. I am copying his letter and write in all the correct things he said or write another letter recanting all the things he said he would do. I was told it would be show ready and things would be put back where they belong. I didn’t ask, but he also promised he would cut my grass and put mulch down to make it look beautiful since they had trampled through our landscaping. He thinks he is the ultimate handyman. BBB has him at a D- and when I questioned they said they thought they were at a D+; I explained I probably would not be bragging on that grade. Our plumber had happened to be in the process of plumbing this man’s home. Our plumber has shared stories of his work and explained that he would never allow this man to build a home. Our plumber is so upset, he has apologized that he had to learn this lesson the hard way and through me. He can’t believe what all he has done for us. Handyman Enterprises just caused a much larger disaster. The problem was the sump pump burned out, but we did get a new sump pump since it was under warranty.

Mike was always punctual, extremely courteous, and neat. Quality of his work was excellent. Obtained two quotes from other sources and his price was reasonable. He was a professional in every way. Highly recommended.

    Dave's Handyman Service
It went good. Dave is responsive to your call and tells you up front the costs and time frame. He seems to be able to do most small jobs. I was just happy to get someone to finish the jobs that a contractor many years ago did not finish. Plus, I now have floor boards in all my non-bedroom areas.
