    Andrew's Roofing & General Contracting
I had a small job on our roof and a few contractors came and gave quotes. Not only was Andrew's Roofing's quote reasonable, but they were pleasant, on time, and professional.
What bothered me with most other contractors that they all seem to have found "sever problems" with the roof and offer their services to maintain and repair those problems.
The interesting thing is that each roofer found different problems, and when asked about the other issues (that previous contractors found) they always said that that's not a concern.
On the flip side, some roofers I've had out over the past 10 years thought it could be fixed with some very expensive caulk.
Andrew's Roofing was the only contractor that thought that the roof was fine and didn't require expensive repairs. Our roof just needed some maintenance -- we had a couple small leaks around the chimneys. We had several contractors over the years caulk or re-flash around them but it never fixed the underlying issue. Andrew determined the problem required the shingles around the chimneys to come off and replaced the rotted wood underneath and installed ice and water shield all around the chimneys before painstakingly replacing the shingles.
We haven't had any leaks since, and the roof looks great.

They would cancel things at the last minute or call with only 10 minutes’ notice to say they would be there. I had to wait over a month for them to finish the shed. They kept changing the price after we already signed the agreement. They were rather slow in getting the projects going and I felt they were waiting to find the cheapest materials. The Monday before Thanksgiving he said he’d get the siding up as quickly as possible (they said weather permitting), and finally the Wednesday before Christmas is when the started and the weather was fine but the next day it was pouring and they finished the siding anyway, despite the weather. The insurance company advised that if they were putting the siding and seal on when it was raining, he’d have some doubts about it being completed correctly. I’m worried about the roof because they put it on in only one day. When I pointed out my concerns about the shingles, he was very dismissive about it. I was very displeased overall and would certainly not recommend them.

    Handyman Enterprises
Steven had us sign a contract with him to clean out the flood damage for $34,000.00 which is high, but at the time we needed the help and he was there. He told us he would have our house back in order and the problem taken are of so it would look showroom ready. It is now June 13th and our basement is still not clean. They have torn out our paneling (cedar barn siding) and drywall. They have put our things in tubs and the tubs are now in every room of our home and on our deck. Steven came to us requesting an additional $10,000.00 to finish the job, which we refused to pay since we had already paid him $34,000.00 and the work had not been completed. He took his crew and left. Our basement is getting dry and we still have dehumidifiers in our basement. My house, however, smells musty and they never sprayed anything to control mold. . I found they even stored some of our stuff wet. They stored everything in large tubs; our stuff is just thrown in them and some tubs that had stuff in them would get knocked over and they just tossed them around. I found my clothes in the bottom of tubs that were wet. In order for us to get to the tubs that had water in them we had to take stuff out of the tubs because we couldn’t lift the tubs. I had a king size comforter that was soaked, wool blankets and bedspreads and all sitting in water for 2 ½ weeks stored in totes. I just couldn’t believe it. I have talked to the attorney general’s office and the letter Steven sent them is completely inaccurate. I am copying his letter and write in all the correct things he said or write another letter recanting all the things he said he would do. I was told it would be show ready and things would be put back where they belong. I didn’t ask, but he also promised he would cut my grass and put mulch down to make it look beautiful since they had trampled through our landscaping. He thinks he is the ultimate handyman. BBB has him at a D- and when I questioned they said they thought they were at a D+; I explained I probably would not be bragging on that grade. Our plumber had happened to be in the process of plumbing this man’s home. Our plumber has shared stories of his work and explained that he would never allow this man to build a home. Our plumber is so upset, he has apologized that he had to learn this lesson the hard way and through me. He can’t believe what all he has done for us. Handyman Enterprises just caused a much larger disaster. The problem was the sump pump burned out, but we did get a new sump pump since it was under warranty.
