  • Excellent, reliable, honest. I can't say enough positive things about my interactions with this garage. They helped take care of my daughters car while she was at University of Dayton, 4 hours from me.

  • Picking up the car, I immediately noticed that the console between the driver and passenger seats was wobbly and unstable.  Upon further inspection, one side of the console was broken off the fitting that it rotates about.  I personally cleaned the car in preparation for selling it right before I dropped if off for service.  It was not broke.  I even checked inside the console when I dropped if off to make sure nothing valuable was in it.  After pickup, you cant even open the console without having to hold it in place with two hands due to the broken fitting.

    Immediately I drove the car back into the service garage to complain.  The attendant called the service guy who said it was broken when he drove it into the garage.  The attendant said there is nothing they can do about it.  I will have the service manager call you on Monday.  Total nonchalance, could care less attitude.  Very frustrating.

    ABSOLUTELY will never use this dealer again.

    Update:  Monday afternoon the service manager did call.  He stated that they fixed the console.  Professionalism of the attendant rates an F, Professionalism of the Manager rates an A.

  • I was impressed that they did not charge me and I expected to pay $50.  They were really nice about it.  I think it is also cheaper there.  They have great service and they work with you.  The job came out great.  Overall it was it worked with me and their price was reasonable.

  • They are honest and very helpful. I was told by Castrucci Nissan my truck needed a new engine that could run as high as $15,000 - I had my truck towed to South Dayton where they repaired it for $500 and its been running great for 5+ months. South Dayton is now my go-to auto repair place. Friendly, local repair shop that does great work.

  • It went horribly. They did not return my calls (I made 3 calls to them). When I was able to speak to the service department I was told "It looks really bad you need a new engine". When I asked what was the problem she just kept repeating "it looks really bad, your vehicle is popping a lot of codes". I heard this over and over again as I pressed for clarification on what the actual problem was. She obviously had no idea and handed me off to the mechanic. He told me my catalytic converters disintegrated and were ingested into the engine and the engine would need to be replaced. When asked about how part of the exhaust system could be ingested into the engine I was told it happens and that there were no other options than a new engine.
    Castrucci Nissan provided me a written estimate for a rebuilt, repaired, and new engine. The prices ranged from approximately $8,000 to $14,000. At this point I went into the service department to speak directly with them as I didn't believe what I was being told. I spoke directly to the mechanic and the service representative. I again asked for a description of what was actually wrong with the truck and again got the run around about the catalytic converters trashing the motor.
    I wrote Castrucci Nissan an e-mail explaining the situation and asked them to contact me since I considered myself a loyal customer. I heard nothing, so I assume my business is not very important to them.
    Long story short: I had my truck towed to a local mechanic who returned it to perfect driving condition for $500. Not a problem in the last 5 months. I have found my new auto mechanic at South Dayton Auto and Truck... more about them in a separate review.

  • I was last there three or four months ago. It cost me about eight hundred dollars. They were OK, they were average compared to other places I have been. I had an oil pan replaced, a tune up and an oil gasket replaced. I would give them a 'C' overall.

  • Hidy Honda.  They over filled the oil and the cable, the job they did we were't really happy with it. They say they all do that.  We even got a code and they said it's normal.  They didn't fix it right.  It was kind of running rough and I checked the oil and it was way over full and it wasn't shifting right.  We had it towed it and I don't know if they drained it out or changed it again.  They had me ride with the mechanic, they said they made some adjustments and see what I thought.  I said it feels it a little better.  Here is another place we won't take anything back to.

  • Matt Castrucci Honda on the Kia side with service and everything I would give them "A's" on everything.  It was great.  With the pricing I really didn't haggle that much.  They said it' the end of the month and if you want it that's what it's going to be.  Would stood out was the convenience.

  • I used Jeff Schmitt Mazda.  It's a pretty big dealership.  I wouldn't recommend them for anything.  We will never go back.  They were rude.  They will quote you a tire price and include everything and then when you get in there they will say no that's not what we said and all this other stuff.  It was unbelievable really because I called to get a quote on tires and asked about everything and they said yea.  When I got there I got the tires mounted and it took them two and a half hours.  I was waiting on it.  They bill was fifty-sixty dollars higher and I said no the price was this.  And then he said that doesn't include tax.  I said the quote I got it was included.  I said we can go talk to the guy and gave him the guys name who gave me the quote.  He said no that's not necessary.  They said if you buy a shirt for $9.99 it's not going to be $9.99 there is going to be tax added to it.  I said let's just go get the guy.  He said no, no, it's alright.  He was just real rude.  When we had the brake job done it was squeaking really, really bad every time you hit the brakes and they said no that's normal.  It was just a bunch of excuses.  Then we took in there because it was overheating and the fan kept kicking on and they said that's all right.  It overheated on my wife.  And we took it to a different independent shop and they diagnosed it that the thermostat was bad.  The engine just about overheated and blew up.

  • We think their pricing was very reasonable. He is a small business and he has always been very available for us. His labor is very reasonably priced. I think his labor is a little cheaper than some. He is very honest.
