    KITCHENS BY LOGRASSO
Ron Lograsso (Kitchens By Lograsso) and his crew did a complete kitchen remodel and electrical upgrade to our 52 year old home in December 2017. As with any big project there were a few surprises once the floor, walls and soffits were opened up and removed. Ron and his craftsmen crew worked with my wife and I to get what we wanted and we are extremely happy with our new kitchen. If you are looking for a contractor that really works hard at making your vision into reality, walks you through the process, is professional, responsible and local, contact Kitchens by Lograsso. Contractor was slow in responding. He did come to project review meeting but never came to start the work. He did not return calls and texts timely for several weeks. Then when appt was set he did not show up or call. I had another contractor complete the work. Angies List refunded the purchase price.

    Ace Painting
Tom and Don were great.  Both were friendly, professional, punctual.  When I was in the process of reviewing estimates, I called Tom with some questions and left a message. This was on a Sunday, and he returned the call the same day.  They cleaned up after themselves each day that they were here.  The leftover paint was marked for me (what color and what room it was used in).  I have zero complaints.  When I'm ready to have more painting done, Ace Painting is who I will call.

Jeff is professional, reliable, trustworthy, and performs quality work with incredible attention to detail. He constantly was in touch with me to update me on the progress of the job. He was always available and willing to fully explain to me the situation and answer any questions. When he encountered a structural problem with my ceiling he immediately found the solution and fixed it for me. I trust Jeff to be in my home. Each day he kept his work area clean. I am so happy with my brand new ceilings. When I went to visit with family and friends for 4th of July I told them how happy I was with his work. Everyone wanted to know about my experience and to get his contact information. I need to do some more ceiling work in my home early fall. I certainly will be reaching out to Jeff to complete the work for me. Thank you Jeff for the fantastic job you did! I am very happy with the results!!

They promised me as soon as the weather gets better, they are going to call me and I would be on the top of their list. I have been very pleased with the people I have worked with so far. They seem to be people of integrity, honesty and that is what I look for.  The people that came over and gave me the quote, went over everything I needed and everything that I wanted to have on that wall, that I needed repair on. There is a chimney and I thought well I am going to have this chimney taken down but they said no, we can do some repair and you would be able to keep that because if you ever sold your house, that would be a selling point, that is a positive, so you want to keep it. So I thought him telling me that was honesty. They knew their business. They quoted me $3000. They didn’t have to follow-up but they did. They seemed like they were expert in their fields and had even pointed out some things that I had not thought of. I am just praying that they will follow through on that.

    The House Doctors
The provider honored the contract, even coming back on two different dates to complete the job.  The dry wall had to "dry" and the area on which the work was done had to be touched up with matching wall paint.  Getting the right color paint took me a couple of trips to Home Depot before I finally contacted the provider to let him know I was ready for the touch up.  The job looks very good.

Job went extremely well. He and his crew were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and cleaned-up after each assignment. Cost and details were exactly like he and I agreed upon. I would hire and refer his company without reservation.

The project is complete and went very well.  John came to the house to estimate the project.  He made a rough sketch of the project requirements on his electronic tablet.  He explained what would be done and asked questions to clarify/confirm what was needed. I explained that the project needed to completed in time for my Father's release from Rehab.  John returned the initial estimate within a couple of days.  We exchanged emails with links to product websites to make final product decisions. With the final estimate and a 50% deposit, John ordered the materials.  The materials arrived within one week and the project was scheduled for the following week.  The project was completed on time and within budget. All of the work was done within three business days as promised except for installation of the grab bars.  This was because I requested that the grab bars be switched from stainless to chrome at the end of the project. John responded to my change request with great professionalism.  Unlike some contractors, John did not try to change my mind or show any sign of frustration. John quickly identified alternate products, explained additional product costs, determined the anticipated delivery date, ordered the new grab bars and installed them immediately upon receipt.   John and the entire crew were very polite and professional. They took great care of my parent's home in the process.  They laid drop clothes from the front door to the project site each morning. At the end of each day, they removed the drop clothes, cleaned and vacuumed the entire area. John and his team take great care in their craftsmanship as evidenced by the quality of the final product. The shower is beautiful.

It is clear that we have found John to be a trusted contractor. We have asked John to provide estimates for additional work.

We look forward to working with Desborough Construction again.

    A Perfect Coverage
Until I texted Tim on 1/23, we had not communicated since 1/7. Tim did not respond until 1/28, and then he became concerned about more money to add for things he stated had been done but not included. He still did not schedule our work, never mentioned our cabinet but wanted an additional $3527.64. I sent him $1800.00, but we had a number of texts and on February 1,where he stated he had become ill with an infection in his lungs from mold. He also claimed it was from the asbestos in our attic which was NOT asbestos but vermiculite. I would have expected him to take proper precautions as a knowledgeable contractor. Again, he did not text or call us again until 2/12 when he asked if he could call me. I told him yes and then he sent a text later that he had no voice again. He wanted the email again about the work to be completed. I also discovered that Angie's List had already paid for him the $6999.00. I thought they had not paid Tim yet and that he did not get his money from them without verifying that the job was done correctly. I told Tim that he still had to have our cabinet and that our conditions were the same. Tim quit in the texts on 2/14 and told us not to worry about paying him and just call it even then he wants to know if we were going 2 use him to finish the job and pay him what was owed or will he "be getting stiffed?" On 2/15, I texted him back that we don't stiff people and the conditions were still in effect 2/1. His bill had a due date of 3/3 and there was still a lot of work to do. We did not hear from him again until 4/9 when he texted me that the cabinet was in. At that point, we advised him that since we had not heard from him in almost 2 months that we had made other arrangements to complete the work, but we still wanted the cabinet. I asked him to confirm that it was the 4 drawer cabinet which he did on April 18. We told him that if it could be dropped off on Friday that we would pay him immediately as long as he presented the invoice. We have not heard from him again. Tim took no notes after the first meeting. The work was done in a very disorganized manor. Tim first painted the kitchen a horrible shade of green, then told me it was primer. They cut the new counter in the lav the wrong size even asking me about the size in advance. The sink pop up was never attached. We wanted a single operation faucet in the kitchen and got a double that we hate. He was supposed to match our shelf to the cabinets. When Tim asked my husband if it was OK he said yes thinking it was darker because the stain was wet. Now it does not match and the stain is way too dark. Tim created work. I notice Tim did a great job for other Angie's List customer's during the time frame that he could have been doing our work. Lucky for them..
