    Dayton Home Remodeling
Even though we signed the contract and made a down payment in Jan 10, 2019 we were told, up front, that our bathrooms would not get started for several months because the best guy for the job, George Rager, was working on another job. We were fine waiting for the best guy for the job because we wanted the job done right! The job was started April 15, 2019. Once the job started, George was here everyday through the week working hard measuring, cutting, redirecting water pipes, setting schuster board, ceramic and porcelain tile to create bathrooms that were both beautiful and functional to our needs. My husband and I were both impressed with George and his workmanship and work ethic. George was very meticulous with his work and took pride in a job well done. He asked our input along the way to ensure we were getting what we wanted. The end result was absolutely stunning! We love both bathrooms! We liked that the company commits to working one job at a time and stays on the job until it is completed. Thanks George for your great work! We miss you George!

    Rehabs R Us
#1 - He forgot about the appointment we made for him to come out and discuss the work. #2 He said he would have a quote in a week and for me to contact him if I hadn't received it. When I did he said he would have it to me that evening. #3 - I have yet to get a quote and today was when he initially said he would have time for the one small project I needed as a start. His company is busy, but I can't hire someone I can't trust/rely on. Buyer beware.

    Dayton Home Remodeling
Job start was about 2 months later than original date provided when the job estimate and contract was made. However, once started the crew was very punctual and worked on our job every day (except weekends) until completed. The job was completed in the planned 3 weeks as scheduled.  The work crew, lead by George Rager along with Todd, Dave, and Jim did excellent work from teardown to completion.  The designer Mike Mergler and Brian Harrison also provided excellent service and coordination of the work. We are very happy with our new shower, bathroom and closets.

    Dave's Handyman Service
I understand that this is a 1 man company, but I have left 2 messages with Dave and not gotten 1 call back.  His message says that he is a 1 man company, but he will return your call back that evening.  I called once and waited a week for a reply.  I called back, left another message and waited another week for a reply.  At this point, even if I got a call back I wouldn't use him.  He is unreliable and unprofessional.  Buyer Beware.

    Dayton Carpet Liquidators
The carpet was great.  We had a small problem with the installers scratching up the walls and damaging the corners.  Jeff the owner was quick to respond to help us get it fixed so I could not be upset about that issue.  The problem with the install was that one of the installers was not helping the other move the carpet causing some damage to the corners of the hallway.  Jeff is covering the cost of fixing this and the over all install was very well done.  the look is great!  The installers were not prompt but they did good work.  This is my third time using this company and would still recommend them to others on a regular basis.  This is the first time I had a problem with the installers and it has been addressed by Jeff and I could not be

    Bockrath Flooring & Rugs
Absolutely great! Rick and Jeremy and Dustin arrived promptly at 0900 and began work. They first removed the old carpet and padding, did a few other things they needed to do before installation, and then here comes our new carpeting! They were extremely polite, confident and professional. Additionally we met our salesman, Brent, at the Bockrath store a few months earlier when we first began looking for carpeting. He listened to what we wanted, found samples, made suggestions, and in the end, everything was exactly what we wanted, including the rug that actually fits beneath our extremely large dining table. Brent was quite professional, but the more we met with him, the easier our relationship became until he felt like an old friend. He is a hoot and we couldn't be happier that we got to work with him. We've even invited him to our house so he can see the final results of our remodeling. Thank you Bockrath!

    Jent's Handyman Service
We have used Jent's Handyman Services to renovate seven bathrooms till to-date - over a two years period. Three of these were at the business location and four at home. However, he botched the last job which was renovation of the master bedroom bathroom and most important to us. It required installing a Sterling bathroom kit, 61" vanity with marble top, bathroom lighting with rearranging the power points and installing wall and floor tiles.
He did quite well on other things but made a mess of the tiles which was the main bathroom feature. We had bought mother-of-pearls for the walls and polished marble for the floor. In earlier jobs, we had used ceramic and vinyl tiles which Jesse had installed adequately well. I had cautioned him that I needed this bathroom to be done very well. For this work, he also had one helper.
Setting the tiles went alright but removing the grout was a disaster. I saw them using a sander to remove the grout - he denies it and I disagree.. By doing so, they embedded the grout into the tiles, killing their polish and causing a permanent haze. The damage cannot be undone. Our loss is approx.$3000 in material plus labor o replace all the tiles.
His assistant painted the bedroom and the closet with good amount of paint droppings on the carpet. We got a professional cleaner to remove those. Also, his assistant installed one of the closet hinges in-side out. I had to reinstall it. Jesse did not properly supervise his assistant nor does he take responsibility for their work. This is my observation from earlier jobs also.
One of the bathroom which he alone had finished about two months ago developed a leak. He came to correct it after 3-4 days of notifying him. However, after couple of days more, area under the sink was still wet. I sent him a message to which he never replied.
I would recommend Jent's Handyman Services for small remodeling jobs but not for work which is more professional in nature. Also, do not expect much post-work support. He does not supervise his helper nor does take responsibility for their work. I won't be using him anymore.

Overall good service until they ordered and laid the wrong color laminate. They fixed their mistake, but with no service recovery. Just told me how much money they would lose in the deal. Boo. Not going back. Now my husband who works night shift will have to try to sleep through pounding for the 3rd night this week.

    Kitchens By Design
The process of getting a new kitchen was explained thoroughly by our project manger, Bruce. He stepped us through what we needed to do to get things rolling which could have been scary, but our fears were put to rest.

Choosing the cabinets, floor tile, appliances, lighting, sink, and countertop went smoothly. Appliances were purchased and delivered on time using a recommended distributor at better prices than the big box stores.

The work crew was fantastic. They cleaned up before they left for the day and let us know what time they would start the next day ... They always showed up on time. We've never experienced such professionalism in a work crew. They obviously cared about the quality of their work.

    We would unequivocally recommend KBD.

Ad Kistler & Son Bathroom Specialist
All the work was very professional. It was completed on time. All work areas were well cleaned. Floors were covered to prevent damage and reduce dust and dirt. Kevin Kistler took the time to meet us at a local home improvement store to make sure we got the correct products.
