Dermatology reviews in Beachwood

She is gentle and very knowledgeable.  She is able to spot something that is questionable.  Her staff is very professional.  I had a car accident the day I was supposed to see her and I was delayed half an hour and they fit me in although she is a busy doctor.

This was my first visit with a dermatologist, and it went well overall. First Dr Bernard did a overall body check for moles, and found three that looked suspicious. I didn't expect him to remove the moles at the first visit, but he said he could remove them quickly, and it would save my having to schedule a new appointment, which could be two or three months away. I liked the idea of getting it over with so I wouldn't have to worry. Dr. Bernard had a friendly manner, and the nurse was very friendly also. The nurse stayed in the room with me the whole time since I had to remove my clothing (the moles were on my torso). He removed the moles quickly like he said, and put on bandaids. The wound sites took a while to heal, but the nurse went over everything with me so I would know what to expect. Dr Bernard himself called me a week after the moles were removed to let me know they were not cancerous. That was nice!
I've been going to the Kaiser at Cleveland Heights for a long time, and I've never had a bad experience.

I had to schedule this appointment about 4 weeks in advance. I had never seen a dermatologist before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The nurse was very friendly, warm, and helpful, and talked me through what to expect. She actually stayed as my chaperone because I had to strip down and I wasn't comfortable with Dr. Bernard yet. Dr. Bernard is also friendly and has a good bedside manner. He made conversation to put me at ease. Dr. Bernard did a thorough examination of my skin, and found 3 moles that he thought were suspicious. He gave me the choice of making another appointment to have them removed or just having him do it then at this appointment, so I chose the latter to get it over with. The mole removal took about 10 minutes. He injected a numbing agent, which stung, but then I couldn't feel it when he removed the moles. He applied something to the skin to stop bleeding, and then put on a bandaid. The nurse gave me instructions for changing the bandaids. A week later, Dr. Bernard called me with the results that my moles were not cancer. It has been about two and a half months and I have scars from the mole removals, I don't know if they will go away. Luckily they only show when I wear a swimsuit.

Due to my usual doctor retiring I had to find a new gyno which I was very apprehensive about. She was very helpful efficient and caring. Office is convenient and everyone was very friendly. They were running behind so I did have a long wait but their care and services completely made up for it. I am no longer dreading having to go to the doctor

He is really knowledgeable and nice, and he does everything that you need.  I believe that the appointments are for a couple of months out because he is very busy.  I will absolutely continue seeing him.

Dr. Durden discussed the moles on my face, asked questions about my concerns, procedure, skin care. She described the procedure and made me comfortable, reassured me that everything wood be fine. She has excellent bedside manners.

He prescribed some treatments for me to add more moisture to my skin. He is excellent. His staff is very well trained and very responsive to people. I never had any kind of negative experience with him. He has a lot of experience. I would use his service in the future too.

I think Dr. Durden is wonderful. Concerned, empathetic, knowlegeable, and with a sense of humor. Her office staff has never been anything but friendly and smiling. I truly appreciate the quick appointments. The conditiion I have, I can't wait the 1-2 months that is standard for most dermatologists. I plan on sticking with Dr. Durden for a very long time.

She is extremely thorough, very professional and the cost is good. However, her staff is extremely rude and she overbooks a ton of times. You end up waiting for hours when you go to see her. They call you a week ahead of time and a day ahead of appointment, but, if she is running 3 hours late they don't even bother to call you. It is not good. It is like she is very good, but, she wants to make more money so she consistently overbooks all of her patients. I have moved on from her to another dermatologist.

I had been to a few dermatologists over about a decade and none of them ever effectively diagnosed and treated my skin problem. Dr. Durden did, and also worked with me to find the least aggressive treatment that would be still effective, and also understood my concerns about using different medicines while breastfeeding or trying to become pregnant. I had had such frustrating experiences with dermatologists before, and she was great.
