    Hoffman Construction Co Inc
Overall, Hoffman Construction did a great job. As with many contractors, there were many subcontractors whose work had to be coordinated by Mr. Hoffman. The logistics of this were handled very well, and Barry made every effort to keep the job moving forward. I want to especially note the high quality work done by the main carpenter on the project, John Newton. All of the other contractors also worked in an efficient and professional manner. I was most impressed by their attention to detail, and the willingness to make everything meet our expectations.

Fantastic quality, reliable, caring, honest people. Keselman was an absolute pleasure to work with. We have already done another job with them after the addition. I have recommended them to many people.

Keselman Construction rebuilt our home after it was seriously damaged. They tore it down to the studs and replaced everything, from the walls, to the siding, to the roof, to the floors, to the electrical system. It was a huge project, and a worrisome one. We wanted a safe home to return to, but we also had a limited amount of time and energy to devote to the project. I cannot imagine going through this with any other construction company and feel very fortunate to have had their help. Zach, Tony, Vitaly, Dave, Tony, and the whole crew were a pleasure to work with. They were each, as one of their references said, really good people who know their stuff. We could fully count on each of them to do their best for us, and take full responsibility for their work, to work cooperatively with us, to be fair and honest, and to be reasonable and flexible, to be kind, and to be knowledgeable and professional. Zach said that we would get a schedule of the work to be completed each week, and would be notified when it was done. And that is what happened. Vitaly was our project manager. Throughout the duration of the project, there was always someone working in our house and tasks were completed on time. Everyone Vitaly brought into our house was friendly, professional, and did high quality work. Vitaly earned our complete trust and while we could have been as involved as we wanted, we were able to leave the details to him. We mainly made decisions about what should go into the house and what it should look like and for that we had the help of Channi Zwick, of White Edge Designs. Channi fully understood our goals for the houses appearance and helped us realize all of them, a difficult task, because we had something very specific in mind but didnt know how to get there. Vitaly and Channi guided us through the rebuild: they helped us make the many decisions in a timely manner and kept us within budget. We have moved back into our house and we know it is safe- it has passed a number of inspections with compliments from inspectors. It is also beautiful beyond our expectations. Everything was completed expertly from the doors to the floors, to the molding to the paint to the tile to the lights, to the faucets. The house is full of wonderful design choices we would have never thought of ourselves that make the house comfortable and easy to maintain. Channis excellent taste and the Keselman Construction Groups excellent workmanship show in every corner of the house.

It was a pleasure working with Keselman Construction since the moment they stepped inside our house. They were respectful, responsive and reliable. There was not a problem or issue they couldnt fix. The quality of their work was outstanding. A big shout out to our project manager Petr. His postive attitude and calming presence made our first remodeling project a success. Petr went over and beyond his duties to help us and he made sure that we were totally satisfied with their work. He was simply awesome. Thank you, Keselman Construction for making our dream house a reality.

    CURB APPEAL PAINTING
I had been using Curb Appeal Painting to do all of my house painting for years. This was the first time I need to test their warranty. Within the two year warranty period the area of the house they were hired to repair again leaked and caused interior damage. When I asked them to repair under warranty, I was given an excuse that the leak was caused by forces they did not fix. They did not substantiate their irrelevant claim nor did they return calls or emails. Bottom line is this is a company that does not honor their contracts or warranty. Buyer beware!

    Rock Solid Construction & Remodeling
Tom was very efficient and professional. He had creative ideas to solve problems left by previous contractors. He was a perfectionist in the detail work. He was reliable and cleaned up after himself. Tom was proficient in many areas. I will use him again.

    The House Doctors
The person who came out did a great job. He was on time, friendly, skilled, efficientand professional. He replaced the window sill and painted it. He also caulked and painted parts of a second window and did an excellent job.
When I tried to make an appointment, the answering service was disorganized and not very professional. It was difficult to reach a live person. This part of the service needs improvement.

Easy to arrange schedule.  Got a call in the morning from the contractor - uh, oh, worried about the inevitable upsell.  But that wasn't the case - he wanted to explain that the baseboard was quite a bit wider than the one I had supplied, and the vertical board had some millwork in it that wouldn't look completely like the regular board I had supplied.  He could and did do the work with the materials supplied, he just wanted to let me know there would still be hidden parts of the baseboard that were probably decayed behind the new wood, and that the vertical piece would look a little different than what came down.  No ask for an upsell, he just wanted me to know.  Very professional.  When I got home, the work looked great.  I like these guys.

    Hoffman Construction Co Inc

Basement remodel started well and on time, initial design, complete framing and dry-walling of new space, including closets, painting, electrical installation, 6 closet doors, 4 new glass block windows, minor plumbing (reworking of existing plumbing in space). Installed Miracle Stone flooring throughout which looks fabulous and was reasonably priced compared to similar products. After initial inspection and framing went up, we found that we needed to have exterior waterproofing done. This resulted in an additional cost, but the subcontractor Mr. Hoffman recommended did good quality work within the budget we set forth. Mr. Hoffman and his lead carpenter Mr. Newton  were very accommodating as minor changes needed to be made from initial design-even after some of the framing went up - to allow us to have more functional storage areas and function of the design. We did have some communication issues between the 3 of us (owners, carpenter, contractor), but these were all resolved to our satisfaction. We provided light fixtures which were installed. They were able to re-install some existing shelving in the new space, and purchased some new as well. Although there was an additional charge for this, it provides much needed functionality. They re-installed office shelving and cabinetry in the new basement office which were original to the home from the previous office. All work was done to code and we have had no issues with function of anything since completion. Overall the new basement adds functional living, office, and storage space to our home and we are very pleased with the end result!

We also had cosmetic refinishes in an upstairs bedroom (new carpet, wallpaper removal, painting) and a new window installed. The window installation was challenging and delayed the timeline a bit, but from the outside you would never know it was different than the other windows on the house. We needed to have some cosmetic changes to the interior due to the installation process but these were covered well and the end result looks good. My son really likes having his own room, he especially likes the carpet choice. Mr. Hoffman made little adjustments on the final walk through to ensure that we were completely satisfied with the result.

The project started on time, but was significantly delayed in final completion (planned completion was end of August, was finally finished mid November). The additional waterproofing led to a 3 week delay from the original timeline, but the remaining time delay was mostly due to conflicting contractor and subcontractor projects. Once early September came, the project moved very slowly and we felt we frequently needed to remind people of tasks that still to happen. However, the painters in particular came in on weekends to finish in an effort to make up extra time. In addition, when we set hard deadlines (moving all furniture back into basement) they were able to meet these.

Overall the project turned out very nicely and we are pleased with our new basement!

They didn't provide any services. I got a refund from Angie's List. After I bought the deal, I spoke with people over and they said that they would come the first day to make an estimate and let us know what would be involved in the project and then they would come back and add in the hours that we had purchased plus any additional time plus materials. That sounded all very good. Then when they came over, seven weeks later, because that was the first time that they were available to come over, the guy came with an assignment to do the job and asked me if I had all of the materials. I didn't know what the job entailed and I didn't know what materials were needed. He then told me that the time that he was there right then was part of the time that we had purchased. I said that there had been some kind of mistake. Then I spoke with his manager and we decided that it would be in both of our best interest just to cancel the deal. That's what we did. There was no way that I was going to be able to trust them to do the work after there was such a misunderstanding. I made that very clear to them that I did not want them to do the work if this is how they were going to work with me. He claimed that it was a misunderstanding and I still didn't want them. Now, I'm sitting here with the work still needing to be done and I need to find someone to do it.
