Schneller Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning
We never felt pressured into buying more than we needed and everyone at Schneller has been great to work with. They even offered to provide some space heaters to keep us warm until they could complete the installation on Monday - January 4th. Remember, this was all happening on New Year's Day!
Jesse and the install crew were fantastic.  They were considerate, helpful and left our house with no sign that anyone had even been there to replace the furnace and AC. Jesse even took the time to be certain I was comfortable with how both units worked and how to operate the wi-fi thermostat. As the crew was leaving, one of the guys even took a broom out to sweep up a little dirt left in the driveway from their service van.
Now, we are looking to have Schneller replace our old, inefficient hot water heater and Scott was out to walk through the options. Again, no sales pitch and very knowledgeable.
They live up to their promise to ' treat you like family'.

    STEVE CROPPER PLUMBING
Mr Cropper showed up promptly.  He checked our water heater ,giving us the option of fixing the fire vent or replacing the heater which he said would be his choice.  I'd already been told that this 12 yr old heater would continue to trip off since it had already reached its expected useful life.  We decided to replace it.  It took him practically no time to get a replacement heater.  His work was very clean & prompt.  He was courteous & efficient.  Worked fast & left everything clean.  He also removed the old heater & all the boxes & papers leaving the area just as he had found it.

    Alexander and Sons Plumbing LLC
It should be noted that the $35 charge was for extra parts we needed. It was not the full cost of the job (which I paid via a granite counter top installer who contracted with Alexander & Son's Plumbing for their plumbing installation needs; in other words, I paid this plumber but I'm not sure how much for the whole job).  A very pleasant and competent, hard-working man who arrived late in the day (well after 5pm) for which he was not paid extra.

    B & D PLUMBING
We had used B&D Plumbing before to replace the floor seal under one of our toilets.  I called Tom and he was able to quote me the cost to flush our hot water heater over the phone.  He was out within a few days and took about 10 mins before getting started to fully explain to me how the hot water heater worked, what I should be checking on it, and how often.  He also explained to me what the "popping" noises were that I kept hearing and how to prevent any further damage from occurring.  He took the time to explain the flushing process to me as he was doing it so that I could do it myself the next time.  We will definitely be calling on him again for any future plumbing needs.

    Geiler Home Services
I called Geiler and told them that I had purchased a certificate off of Angie's list for a comprehensive plumbing inspection and to drain my water heater for $49.  I also told them that I had a couple of other small jobs to take care of.  An apptmt. was made for later in the week.  Frank arrived at the specified time and immediately went to work to drain the water heater and fix the two additional problems I had.  It went fine, but then he was getting ready to leave and I asked him if he was going to do the plumbing inspection because he had taken the certificate I printed.  He said, oh I wasn't sure what you all got with the certificate.  (All he had to do was read it).  So he very quickly inspected all of the pipes, flushed the toilets, turned on the faucets in the sinks.  He noticed that a pipe was beginning to rust under the kitchen sink and said it should be replaced in the next couple of months.  He also found that the overflow tank on the hot water heater was bad.  He did not have an extra one with him so he could not replace it.  I felt like he was in a hurry to get out of there.  After he left, I went in to clean up the tub that he fixed the leak on, since he did not clean up very well when he left, and I found out that the shower head/faucet was not working properly.  And, this was in the tub that he worked on.  I was very disappointed that the plumbing inspection went so quickly, and it was not very comprehensive or he would have found the faulty faucet/shower head.  The work was ok, but I was not overly impressed with the way the whole thing went.  So now, I still have repairs that need to be done, but I plan to find a different plumber.

    Tarvin Plumbing
I have used Tarvin plumbing on a number of occasions, to repair leaks, install taps, replace the water heater, sump pump and garbage disposal unit.  They are responsive, professional and the work is done in a quality manor.  An estimate is always given and the work comes in below estimate.

    Apollo Home
Our main water line into the house had busted.  We called them at 7 in the evening and they had someone at our house at 9pm.  The repair could not be done that night.  Ron gave us an estimate and we considered it that night.  We had the company out this year to replace the heat and air units and we were happy with the work so we decided to use them again.  When they called at 8 am the next morning to see if we wanted the job done and to schedule I was pleasantly surprised.  This was a Friday and we scheduled for Monday.  This was the only problem I had, they called back to say they could not do the job on Monday because they needed time to get the permits and rental equipment for the excavation.  We rescheduled for Tuesday (my husband managed to switch his days off for the second time.)  They showed up that morning asked again if we wanted to keep the bush that was in the way, we told them no to go ahead and remove it.  As they worked they showed my husband what they were doing and why.  they had to dig pretty deep to put the line under the footers, as the line they were replacing had been put through the foundation.  They repaired the hole with a concrete patch.  When the job was done the inspector came out and told the 2 plumbers that there were 2 new codes in our county that they had not meet.  This required more parts and labor.  They did not have the parts in the truck so one of the guys went to get the parts while the other guy prepped for the new work.  At the end of the day this company did not charge us for the extra work.  They told us that they should have known about the codes and had it in the original estimate.  I was very relieved about that.  They cleaned up everything and were very professional the entire time.  The work was completed in a day with very few snags.  I will absolutely call them in the future for all of our plumbing, heating and air work.

    Tarvin Plumbing
I found Mike Tarvin and the team at Tarvin Plumbing on Angie's list after looking for the right company to solve my hot water issue.  We bought a 1979 residence to run a business out of that used to maintain only a family of 4.  We turned it in to a residential facility where we added many bedrooms and bathrooms to accommidate up to 14 residents.  Hence, hot water for showers became an issue with the old water heater set-up.  Mike came out and went over everything with me.  His solution to the problem was to use the old water heater to serve only 2 shower heads, and install 2 new 120 gallon Ruud electric water heaters to serve the other 6 shower heads.  They furnished and installed all necessary pipes, valves and fittings for complete installation. Heaters were piped for simultaneous operation with individual shut off valves to isolate each heater.
After the installation, we have never had a hot water issue again.  Tarvin Plumbing is by far, the best plumbing company I have worked with as a property and facilities manager of upscale facilities.  They have also installed a new toilet at one my outpatient centers and replaced a sump pump in our radon pit.  A+ in every aspect for all jobs they have performed for us.

    B & D PLUMBING
    Everything went perfect.
Tom showed up on time, did the work we discussed, and cleaned up when he was done.
No big sales pitch to replace my 10 yr old gas hot water heater, either.
He also gave me tips on how to maximize the life of my hot water heater and garbage disposal.
The final bill was exactly what he estimated on the phone.
We will definitely use him again for any major or minor projects, in the future.

    Cincinnati Plumbing Contractors Inc
After waking up to no hot water, I researched some companies on Angie's List. Cincinnati Plumbing Contractors had good reviews, so I called.
Debbie answered my call and was very helpful. She told me that Gene would be out the same day, and, working with my schedule, gave me a one hour window during which he would arrive. When a job he was on went long, Gene called me well before our scheduled window, and informed me that he would be later than expected, and he revised the window. During the revised window, Gene called to let me know he would arrive within 15 minutes.
When he arrived, Gene put a mat down on my front steps so as not to track dirt into my house, and he wore shoe protectors (I didn't even have to ask!). He was very kind and helpful.
Gene quickly diagnosed the problem, giving me information about repair and replacement options. Due to the age of the unit, I decided to replace the old heater. He had to pick up the new heater, so we scheduled the bulk of the work to be completed the following day.
Gene and his assistant showed up on time, again, calling when they were about 15 minutes away from my house. The team quickly drained and removed the old heater and then installed a new heater, pipes, expansion bladder and tray.
Unfortunately, they did not have a drain pipe (to connect the tray to the basement drain) in his truck, but Gene was able to come back a few days later and had the pipe installed in about 15 minutes.
Debbie followed up with me to make sure that the job was completed to my satisfaction.
All-in-all, CPC was very professional, punctual, and courteous. They kept me informed and answered all my questions, offering advice when I asked. I did not feel as though I were being sold something I didn't need, nor that I was being taken advantage of in any way. I will definitely use them again.
