    Cardone, Dr. J Scott
My husband sees the doctor about every 6 months for evaluations of a precancerous condition, actinic keratosis.  The doctor freezes off the areas that were sun-damaged, as my husband worked long, sunny hours in construction.  I have many skin manifestations of undifferentiated autoimmune diseases, and Dr. Cardone is very versed on the conditions that present themselves.  Dr.Cardone is very gracious, empathetic, and conscientious whenever one comes in to see him.  He is a compassionate physician, and is extremely knowledgeable in a specialty that is very complex.  He is generous to each patient in that he offers samples, so that you are not paying for a prescription that may not work, or be right for you.  Dr. Cardone is conservative in his approach to the condition, and lets the patient determine what is the best course to initially follow.  Dr. Cardone, some time ago, took over the practice of one of the west side's most respected dermatological physicians, and Dr. Cardone is following in his predecessor's legacy.  When you visit Dr. J.Scott Cardone you will first see a beaming  smile that is there for each and every visit.  He will ask you what you think is going on, and then Dr. Cardone will explain your condition thoroughly that you can understand. When you are leaving he will ask you to let him know how you are doing after using the meds that he suggests.  He will most probably also prescribe "a tincture of time," the treatment name that his predecessor always used in his practice.  This was to explain his conservative manner of treatment.  ( PS the exact date of my last visit may not be accurate, as we have been to see Dr. Cardone a lot this summer, but the month and the year are correct-thanks )

    Dermatology & Skin Care Associates
Dr. Muennich is a younger doc but I liked her a lot. She seems to know her stuff and is a good communicator. She was open to natural remedies which is important to me. Very professional but friendly. Only small criticism is that the others working in the office seem to not know very much, or there is not enough staff. When I call, it's hard to get a question answered.

    Dermatology & Skin Care Associates
I was very happy with this appointment! I arrived 15  minutes early to my appointment to fill out new patient paperwork. After filling out the paperwork, which took about 4-5 minutes, I was then promptly called back to the exam room. I saw the physicians assistant, Debra Babcock. She was in the exam room shortly after I was. I explained to her my issues and concerns and she help me find a solution. She clearly explained what exactly eczema in terms I could understand, and told me why it occurs and how to fix it. She prescribed me a cream to put on the spots and gave me a few samples and coupons. I loved that I did not have a long wait for my appointment, as I have had at other dermatologists, and that I finally felt like I knew what the eczema was.  I would definitely recommend Dr. Babcock or any doctor from this office. I will be going back to them for any other of my dermatological needs!

I chose to see Debra Babcock (PA) for a a body skin evaluation. I knew she had experience and identified quite a few melanomas. She examined me thoroughly, telling me about the abnormalities she identified as she went. I felt she was thorough and informative.

She evaluated an odd looking mole that was changing. She recommended treatment that worked just fine. She is very clear and seems to be quit competent. The whole office is real efficient.

    Fixler, Dr. Z. Charles
First off, I need to get this out of the way and this is MY experience. Dr. Fixler has the rudest office staff you will find (like a NY deli) and his office is from 1945. Now the age of the office I don't really care about but, if you want warm and fuzzy you won't find it here. Why do people go to Dr. Fixler? Because he is quick and efficient and knows his stuff. He immediately identified my spot as pre-cancerous and removed it on the spot. The follow up visit was about 5 minutes long and just verified that the problem was taken care of. Would I go back, yes? Just know it's not like going to mommy's. No suckers or boo-boo stickers.

    Jones, Dr. Everett L.
We were going to another dermatologist earlier and I used to miss work and my kid school just to go visit him. Dr. Jones works on Saturday's for students to come in and he was willing to try other things. I just liked him and he was down to earth. He is willing to listen to me and he was not rushed to meet the next person. My daughter had to have a mole removed which he did and my husband had some pre-cancer thing on his hand. We have used him for more than just acne. His office is kind of crabby.
