    Hytech Automotive Located at 1184 Ohio Pike in Amelia Ohio has the most shady and unprofessional ���mechanics��� I���ve ever encountered. After dropping the car off to them for a $40.00 diagnostic to see what issues it may have (we just purchased it used and wanted to know what work we may have to do) we were completely taken for. After calling them to check on the status of the car (since they were just to look at it ) we were told they ���went ahead and did work��� WHAT !?!? When asked how much work they did and how much it would cost..... they didn���t know and had to call us back with that information ..... WHAT !? When they did call back they told us we now owed $207.00 ..... that���s a far way off from 40$ Not to mention the ���work��� they did ?? Yeah they used OUR PARTS from inside of OUR CAR .... Again .... WHAT!? No work was ever supposed to be done!!!! And those parts we bought were because we knew how to do that specific repair by OURSELF !!!!!!! We simply needed to know what other things we may have to do in the future. The best part is , when we displayed how upset we were about the entire experience the mechanic told us he would take our brakes off and ���put them back on with a zip tie��� WHHHHHAAAATTTTT I���m beyond angry I���m beyond upset And I���m absolutely DONE after being threatened we paid the $207.00 In fear that our vehicle would end up putting our lives in danger if we did not. Now that we have our vehicle back I REFUSE to keep my mouth shut. they may have coerced us into paying this time but I pray to God they never do this to anyone else. It was beyond a nightmare and I���m not comfortable even driving the car or having my bf drive it in fear they may have done damage (since the mechanic threatened it) I���ve filed a report with the BBB As well as with the Ohio Attorney Generals Office. ive also since found MULITPLE 1 Star google reviews on this EXACT same thing happening to people .... although we were lucky because others ended up with bills over $500.00 So Hytech automotive , I hope you enjoy that 207$ you scared us into giving you ... I hope it was worth it ......

    My husband had found a truck that he liked at this establishment on a Saturday. He was told that they do not provide the service of in-house financing so he would have to obtain it on his own. That Monday morning he had spoken with the owner several times and had been contacted by the bank and they were finalizing up the paperwork. The owner had sold the truck that Monday night to another party!!! The bank, my husband, and myself had attempted contacting the owner several times on Tuesday from the time they opened until I finally had them answer the phone when I hid my number, he tried to say that he had never heard anything from my husband or anyone however I have the emails and phone records to prove it. They will appear to be honest and forthcoming at first however their true colors will show shortly. I am very disappointed and hope that no other family has to deal with the lying and betrayal of this establishment.

    Went very well. Price was very reasonable, and they told me what was needed right away, and what could wait until later. Did not try to sell me things that i did not need. It's a little difficult to get in sometimes, as they are very busy. Best to call a couple days ahead, and get there when they open.

    Dropped my car off for repairs. Two days later they called me and told me that my car was ready to be picked up but my electronic parking brake was now inoperative due to a recall by the manufacturer. Sounded suspicious but I will willing to take there word for it. They said that the car was safe to drive and have the recall fixed at the dealership whenever. Picked up the vehicle that night to drop it off at the dealership and had multiple warning lights illuminated and a constant brake warning chime. The mileage on the invoice showed that the car hadnt even been test drove. The next day the dealership said that there wasnt a parking brake recall applicable to my vehicle and that they did not have the proper equipment to do the repair correctly. The dealership was able to repair my vehicle correctly. Further inspection also revealed that other repairs were not made. One of which was oil and filter change they charged for was not performed. The oil filter was dirty and had not been disturbed. The lower engine shrouds used to gain access had shown no evidence of being removed. The oil was extremely dirty for only have less than 5 miles on it. After speaking to Millers Auto and emailing pictures and evidence they have declined to refund me the cost of the oil and filter change and the cost of the repairs made by the dealership to fix there errors.
    Poor workmanship, improperly trained, and dishonest. I would not recommend Millers Auto Service to anyone. This matter will most likely end up in court.

    The hold process was terribly.  The work is as followed: Replaced glove box,weatherstripping,valve cover gaskets,oil changed, driver side door lock is inoperative, gauges do not light up on dash,rear taillight ground was short, passenger side window did not go up or down.
    Okay here is my reason for this report. The glove box cover for replacement was @ $178.79 with $49.95 labor- You can find this part on line for as little as $27.00. Weatherstripping cost was @ $292.41 including labor. On line price for the pair was $38.00
    to change out 2 value cover gaskets cost me $401.04. another $278.60 for manifold gasket. To repair the driver's side door lock cost me $181.31. I bought the part for $23.00 and they wanted $187.50 To fix the light gauges ran me $300.00.  Passenger side window that needed  a new motor cost $ 441.37 and once again to buy this on line just $49.95 
    They called me and said my truck is ready for pick up and when I got there I found three things that still needed repaired that they said the truck was ready. Glove cover, passenger window, and gauges dash lights. I was already charged for these and they stated no charge will be charged for fixing them. ??  They also wanted me to buy two door handle locks so they match at $187.50 each. That's when the red flag went up and I started buying my own parts for the doors. They got me good . I would say that I should have NEVER gone to any Dealership for this type of work.

    Sold my used car to this dealer. Because on construction they asked if they could mail me my check. I asked how long it would take and was told they would process the paper work the next day. Needless to say as of 4/29 I am still waiting. Have made 4 calls to the dealership without one retuned phone call. Do not trust these people...

    My car was idling very rough and stalling out at traffic lights, and also bucking on occasion while driving, and the check engine light kept coming on . My husband plugged his Harbor Freight code reader into the car's computer to read the error codes. The codes indicated there were 2 sensors with problems - he replaced one, cleared the codes, and the next time the car misbehaved the codes indicated that the one problem was fixed but that the other sensor (MAP sensor) was still a problem. He cleared the code so that the car would continue to operated, and we made an appointment with Kings Automall Subaru for service.  It was after hours so we couldn't talk to a mechanic.  But when we scheduled the service, we explained the situation. The next day Lisa (I assume a customer service rep) called. Lisa���s main objective in the three calls we had with her seemed primarily to get off the phone.  Lisa  said the mechanic couldn't duplicate the problem but that we have leaking head gaskets which could lead to catastrophic engine failure and should be fixed for $1600.  I told her I was aware of that leak and we check the oil and refill regularly.(In fact, it was one of their mechanics that told us a year ago not to worry about it  just keep an eye on the oil).

















    She said the mechanic couldn't find a problem with the MAP sensor and asked if we wanted to replace it anyway.  I said I guess so, but since we took it to them because they were the experts,  I was pretty exasperated and unsure of my decision.  I asked my husband to call back to ask more questions and he got Lisa as well.  At no point did she offer to let him talk directly to the mechanic...it was like going to the doctor but only being allowed to talk to the receptionist.  We just assumed we couldn't talk to the mechanic since Lisa never offered to allow it. My husband's assumption was that the dealer had more sophisticated diagnostic equipment than we did - or more familiarity with this specific car and it's issues, but I guess not.  Nobody ever told us that if the check engine light wasn't on they couldn't use their diagnostic equipment, or else we would not have cleared the code before bringing in the car. So we said never mind, we'll just pick up the car and do the work ourselves.  I was surprised to find that I had a $90 bill waiting for me, when they did nothing that my husband wasn't able to do just as well with the code reader from Harbor Freight.  I mean, it's pretty simple - plug it in and read the code. I didn't ask for an inspection. I didn't ask about my head gaskets - I just wanted the MAP sensor fixed, and some reassurance from a specialist that this was the problem.  So much would have been better if Lisa has just offered to let my husband talk to the mechanic directly, but we got the feeling that her main job was to prevent that from happening. Our neighborhood mechanic takes the time to talk to us directly...much better customer service for less money and without the middleman (or woman).  Lisa is not exactly a warm and friendly customer service rep, and she's not a mechanic, so I don't see exactly what her role is at Subaru. At no point did she ask how she could make things right - other than to offer to personally show up at my door with  the key she misplaced when I arrived to pick up the car.  No thanks, Lisa, I don't need to see you at my doorstep! My advice - stick to neighborhood mechanics and skip the dealers - they mechanics are apparently too busy to converse with their clients so they have their secretaries do it for them.



    By the way, the "check engine light" came back on the next day, and my husband found in the Subaru service manual procedures to diagnose a faulty sensor, even if the check engine light is not on.  This requires special diagnostic equipment that Subaru dealers are supposed to have.  Maybe this one didn't.  Oh well, my husband has since replaced the MAP sensor himself and saved us a lot of money, and the car is running fine.  Live and learn.

    Excellent. After getting a $1000 estimate from the dealer, we heard about Sand L from a neighbor and had the car towed to their shop. The owner immediately confirmed the problem was not as grave as the dealer represented and fixed the problem straight away. Don';t be put off by the and quot;shade tree mechanicand quot; look of his shop. This guy is the real deal.
