Many details were covered upfront with little if any surprises after entering proposal / contract stage thru project completion. “Cheaper“ is very rarely, If ever, “Better” Please know that integrity, quality, trustworthiness & the number of years a company has been business ARE NOT mutually exclusive! Even simple ConstructIon projects can have a lot of moving parts & demand constant attention and follow up. Stones provided this at every step. In end, you’ll usually GET what YOU PAY for. We hired Stones after doing much research and getting multiple opinions on the best way to tackle our basement project. We have not been disappointed. All Original contracted work was completed on time with only minor delays which were mostly due to the pandemic. Most appreciated was the excellent communication we received from both Cindy & Chad with Bi-weekly updates via email - No one was ever “too busy” to take a phone call or respond to a text. Thank you 🙏 Stones’ Crews were timely, did quality work and handled added design changes on the fly without breaking stride. Too many to mention all by name but we specifically would like to thank Damon, Troy, Beau, Drywall Dave, Jerry, Herb and Sam for exceeding our expectations ... Wow they were all Impressive! Chad managed the entire process very well from start to finish & we simply can’t say enough with the results - We absolutely love our new basement. We’ve received many compliments on our new custom basement and have already referred Stones Construction & Remodeling to others. ADesborough Construction IncWe worked with John Desborough (Desborough Construction) to finish our basement, including building a custom wood bar with plumbing and cabinetry, a matching wooded booth, and a half bathroom. This was a big project and it was important to us that the work was done right, so we interviewed three contractors. John stood apart from the competition. He spent a significant amount of time speaking with us to understand our goals, and offered suggestions and advice on how to accomplish our vision and improve our design. John’s proposal contained significant detail compared to others. We selected him because it was clear that John understood our goals and was capable of getting the work done right and within budget. We understood exactly what was included in the scope of work and knew there would be no surprises. John did a great job of communicating throughout the project and there were no unanticipated delays. He and the Desborough Construction team worked quickly and kept the project on track. John clearly takes a great deal of pride in his work. For example, although we didn’t specify that the bar top had to be one solid piece of wood, John knew that the bar was important to us and that a solid top would look best. To accommodate the lengthy bar top (which was constructed off-site), John cut a hole in the drywall of the basement stairway in order to get it safely down the stairs, installed the bar, and repaired the drywall during the same day. We couldn’t tell it had ever happened! Throughout the project, John went the extra mile to ensure that our expectations were exceeded and that we were extremely happy with the finished product. We feel lucky to have found Desborough Construction and John will be our first call for any future home improvement projects.- Gayle H.

We did a complete finish of our large basement--1500+ square feet, including a family room, study/craft area, reading room with custom shelving, kitchenette, full bathroom, egress window, and more. Dave provided expert guidance and craftmanship. We simply couldn't be happier with how it turned out and would recommend Dave unconditionally. BSupplies delivered and sat on my roof for 2weeks. Roof was completed in one day but the gutter covers were not done. It took a week and persistence on my behalf to finally get the gutters taken care of a week later. Someone dropped the ball and communications were weak until I got the ball rolling. The job seems to have been completed without complications but it's only been less than a week since completion.

FDuring the initial meeting when we received our estimate and up until the day we signed our contract, we were very pleased with our decision to go with Mike and his company. He had lots of information to pass along, plenty of "5 stars" and "A Ratings" with documentation to prove it. Lots of wonderful talk and paperwork showing how important his clients were to the success of his company. Once we signed our contract everything began to go downhill. It took more than 3 months to get the new roof put on (was told no more than 4 weeks, weather did play some of a roll in this so we didn't hold a grudge over it). However, they came and installed an entire new roof and tear down in one day while my wife and I were at work, no notification they were coming or working at the house that day. No chance for us to see what it looked like below the shingles, no chance to meet his subcontractors, no chance to take the dogs somewhere for the day. The very first rain came just a few days later, we had 2 new leaks. Mike wouldn't return our phone calls and it took another 8 weeks for them to come out and fix the damage (on the outside, we were responsible for all the new damage inside the home). Another 5 months went by, playing phone tag and exchanging text messages with Mike. We were continually told we were next on the docket for gutters. Finally we cut our losses and hired another company to do it instead. No apology, no coverage for new damages, and overall a terrible experience that I would not hope for any homeowner. In the year and half since, we have had to do more repairs on our "new" roof, and rather than use our warranty we have paid to have someone else come and work on our home. Our money deserved to have gone elsewhere.

AGreat Company, Jason would come out himself to see how things were going and inspect the work. This was a big job that no other company wanted to take on.. The job was done in a very timely manner considering the weather couldn't have been worse. They were there when we were told they would be. My kitchen is next for them to do, then remodel our loft, then planning on an addition. I would not consider any other company to do my home improvements. I cannot say enough good things about True Form Construction.
