Dave came out and brought samples and explained the whole process thoroughly and answered any questions I had. Everyone I spoke to was great! I absolutely love my new windows and entry door. I highly reccomend them to anyone and everyone!

    Central Ohio's Ace Exteriors
Everything went well, except for the time frame.  We were promised that it would be done by a certain date, and the completion was weeks later.  The owner and worker were very pleasant and the construction of the product was excellent.

Renewal by Andersen / Southard Corp
This was a huge job and they worked incredibly hard getting it completed.  There were a few adjustments that needed to be done after the installation.  They responded promptly and came out to adjust.  In June 2013 one crank latch wasn't working properly and they came out right away to fix it, reminding me that there is a lifetime guarantee on them.  They look great and we are pleased with them.

We were very satisfied with them.  It took them about two and half weeks to finish the job.  They did a really good job.  They said that it would take about 10 days to finish the job.  But we ran over that just due to some heavy rains and they couldn’t work.  They moved right on and they didn’t take many breaks.  We were very happy with them.  We asked them to check the windows and see if they have to be replaced.  Our windows were about 35 years old.  They checked them all and said that we don’t need new windows.  They were honest.  We were recommended to them by a friend of ours.  Then we also checked Angie’s List and then took them.

    Pella Windows And Doors
Terrible. See above. We even had a moldy smell in our lower level which is now gone since we had the windows replaced be Andersen Replacement Windows. Do not use Pella. They do not stand behind their product.

I liked almost everything about them. The only thing I didn't like was that, he had a worker that was working with him, and he treated him like a piece of crap. There was no call for that. The guy was doing his best to do a real good job but he was constantly knocking him down. I am a people person and that didn't impress me at all and gives me a negative opinion of him. I don't care how good was the work that he did since his personality wasn't good. We had compared prices and his price was competitive. The work was okay but the attitude was very unprofessional. He never called back for the follow-up like he had said he would. I wouldn't use him again.

    Pella Windows And Doors
Our painter first discovered rotting of the 1999 windows in November of 2005. After a couple of phone calls to Dave Gorsline, of Gunten Corp: 800-688-6889 ext 112 (the person I was told to contact by Pella) he said they would replace them but we would need to pay the labor cost: $325 and of course the painting cost. He explained that Pella windows were guaranteed for ten years but the labor to replace them for only two years. Then in July 2009 as I was opening a window (crank) to wash it, the bottom sill split in half--my husband had to climb a ladder to the second level to get it closed. We then checked other windows and called Dave Gorsline again. Brian came out and checked the ten windows we found leaking and the others--he found 20 that were faulty. These were replaced--no labor charge this time but of course, we had to pay for painting them. Then April 2010 my painter found two more rotting. I called Dave and he said he would send someone out. John (who had installed our other windows that rotted) measured the two windows and said they would check with Pella but that we would probably have to pay for the two windows ( approx. 2' x 6') at a cost of $3100. I very politely said that was unacceptable. That is the last I heard from them--I called Dave 7/7/10 and 9/10/10 but he never returned my calls. Meanwhile, the original windows in the 1868 part of the house have never rotted and are strong and secure. Our painter was going to try to repair the windows but the wood is only good as mulch and nothing is supporting the glass any longer. There could be damage to the framing. (See pictures.) Meanwhile, I can only assume that all 89 windows will eventually rot.

They did not answer my calls and did not return my calls as well. I called them repeatedly. The one time a person answered the call he told that he would come out to look at the windows but he did not do it. I called him again but he was out and did not return my calls. He was not a good businessman.

    Pella Windows And Doors
My experience this week is the reason we purchased Pella windows--they made good on the problem windows. This time around, the Pella rep who came to our house was great--no blaming of the builder etc. The crew was extremely professional and hard working guys--they are stationed in Bedford Heights in Cleveland, not Columbus. I would let them work on my house anytime!

Came out 2 days after agreeing to have the work performed. Very fast service. Work was completed in 2.5 hours from the time they arrived. Friendly staff that is experienced. Would hire again.
