    Ace Asphalt Maintenance and Striping
It was fine. It turned out my driveway was bigger than the coupon allowed so they did the amount of work by the coupon and charged me for the remainder. They did the work fine. It's just that the extra invoice for doing the extra part came a long time after they had done the work so it was sort of a surprise. They are probably right along with everybody else on the price. The quality was okay. I expected the invoice a little more quickly. They should have either gotten me the invoice more quickly or leaving something behind that says there's going to be an extra charge of probably $200-300 more and they are going to have an invoice too within 4 weeks. I was completely unaware that there was going to be any extra charges. I understand that the coupon covered the driveway at a certain size so I'm not saying that they shouldn't have charged me, it's just being notified a little more timely would have been helpful.

    Kurguz Paving Inc
It took Kurguz Paving over a month to give me the estimate for replacing a driveway. I received the estimate on May 22, 2010. The estimate was for the wrong work. I received the second estimate on June 11. It was also not for the work I wanted done. The estimate was also very vague. I was having the driveway and approach widened and the estimate did not say anything about widening or gravel they would put under asphalt. I did not have dimensions of driveway etc. I called Kurguz back and told them that the estimate was unclear to me and that it still looked like it was not estimating what I wanted done. I told them I was frustrated at not being able to get the right estimate in almost 2 months. They called me back and said they were not going to give me an estimate for this work. I said ok and hung up. When I called Kurguz to tell them the estimate was wrong, the person on the phone kept interrupting me and did not really hear what I was saying. She just kept saying the corrected estimate was in the mail. When I called back to say that the second estimate was wrong, she got very defensive and said for me to stop yelling at her and it was not her fault. I was not yelling at her. I told her that I knew it was not her fault. I told her I was frustrated at not getting a correct estimate.

    Peg's Paving Inc
Dan White came and did the estimate on April 2, 2007. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He estimated that the work could be done in about four weeks; and called the first week of May to schedule it. The concrete was installed on May 10th; I was not there so I did not talk to the workers but I was very pleased with the results. The driveway was done on May 22nd (gravel) and 23rd (paving). Workers arrived before 7:00 am and began tamping the gravel. I watched them begin to lay the asphalt before I left for work. I have never seen asphalt laid before but everyone seemed to know exactly what they were doing; they worked together very well and were professional toward me. The end result was excellent; Peg's sent me a two page letter of care instructions that explained how asphalt cures and responds to weather changes. Overall I was very pleased and love my new driveway.

    Armor Paving & Sealing
We did not have the work completed because the cost was outside our budget for the job at this time.
