    It got done but the gentleman complained about everything. He was in a hurry and did not have the correct moving equipment (making it difficult on themselves and risking furniture and walls). They were rough with the furniture and did not take the time to calculate for turns in hall way , doors, lights and just roughly forged ahead to get job done quickly. They get paid minimum three hours and faster they work better for them even at expense of customers home and belongings. Also, at the end he asked for cash only, which was never mentioned previously!

    I moved from a small apartment to a small house. In the days before the move, I moved everything I could carry and left only furniture to be moved. The 2 man crew arrived on time and went right to work. They took great care of my furniture and not one thing was damaged. It had snowed just before moving day, but they took care not track snow into my new house. The job was completed under the estimated time and was less expensive than the quote.

    D & D moving took care in a no hassle or headache fashion of my home relocation from Avon, OH to Charleston, SC.  It was not easy for me in making the decision to use them for my long-distance move, I had good references on the quality of their relocation services on a local basis; but not on a long-distance relocation.  Several of my friends in the local area had used them and spoke quite highly of their services in their local moves, but no one had any experience with them on long-distance moves.  Well I couldn't have been more satisfied with the result.  They took care of all facets of the move, from the office manager Suzanne to Derrek Supple(the owner) in answering my phone calls to confirm and re-confirm the dates, etc.  To me because of the distance involved the dates were critical - I did not want to needlessly incur storage costs if I could avoid them!  As it turned out, the loading, unloading, and transportation part of the move was the least harrowing for me among all the facets of the relocation.  Derrek provided me with a quality employee, DJ,, to supervise and work on the loading, transportation, and unloading of my belongings.  DJ assured me that it would all work out to my satisfaction when he arrived at my home in Avon on Friday morning.  He and two other people proceeded to spend approximately 1/2 the day loading my belongings on the truck.  My goal in my perfect world was to complete the relocation to Charleston the following Wednesday.  DJ even gave me some alternate scenarios that they could work with in the event that all did not go as planned with the closing, etc.  I was fortunate that I didn't need any contingency measures, the D & D truck showed-up in Charleston at 8:00 AM on the following Wednesday as planned.  DJ was on hand with a member of the same crew that loaded my furnishings  to make certain that the unloading went smoothly in my new home.  They attended promptly to their business, and were complete by noon in Charleston.  The entire moving/relocation scenario went off as planned in my perfect world without a hitch!  And to add to the good news, they completed all the work within the original budget figure that Derrek had give me.  Although my actual move of furniture, crates, and boxes varied from the original estimate; D & D managed to do everything for me for their original estimate!   I would use them again in a heartbeat!  They gave me first-rate service, and I will always be grateful to them.

    I called in the morning after reading previous Angie's List reviews that they would NOT charge a flat fee or required a minimum amount of hours to do the work, since I had only one piece of furniture to move.  He happened to be close by and waited until I had contacted the store to see if they would take the furniture.  They agreed and Ken arrived at my house within 30 minutes and took it safely and easily out of my house and dispatched it to the store.  
    I can not tell you how pleased I was to have it taken care of so quickly. 
    I would definitely recommend and use again in the future.

    It was excellent and they did a really nice job. I will call them in the future to help me again. They sent out 2 movers to help with the job. They got the job done in about 2-3 hours. The movers were so polite and so careful with everything. I ended up overpaying and they caught it and called me right away and took care of it. I think it was very professional, considerate, and honest of them to do.

    Overall the experience was not that bad (we moved several times in the past, so we had something to compare it to).  Right after the move, the only negatives were a big scratch on one of our nice chests of dwarers (for various factors - too busy, etc, we never addressed it with them, and now I deeply regret it, we should have) and a table that they forgot to put back together (also didnt leave the screws, we had to call them and they brought the screws later).  However, yesterday (4 months after the move) our king size bed collapsed.  When we went to fix it, we realized that the supports for the matress are not screwed into the frame.  And, of course, we dont have the screws.  For now we managed to put the supports back in place and put the mattress back on (which wasnt easy considering the size and weight of the mattress and the fact that we had to spend a lot of time under the bed making sure the supports are in place).  Now we have to find the screws that would work for this bed, and at this point of time we are not sure if we can just get them at Home Depot (would be nice).  The supports and the frame have deep holes and we are not sure if simple screws will work. 
    Again, overall the experience wasnt that bad (I still flinch every time I look at the scratch on the chest of drawers though), but overall we believe that the professionalist and level of care could be better for the company with the reputation that is pretty good.  We are surpised now, tha majority of reviews are really positive, however, I cannot give them an A after our bed collapsing yesterday.  Overall the word "negligent" comes to mind.  We will not be hiring them again and we will not be recommending them.

    The driver was pleasant , curtious & very helpful with instructions.  He delivered on time.  The door was facing the wrong direction (probably because of my faulty discription)  and he went out of his way to correct that.  I was very pleased.

    Andrews/United Van Lines was outstanding to work with from start to finish. Dennis Horvath was our consultant and was very professional and helpful throughout the process. He was prompt to answer or return calls and always on time for any appointments. The coordinator was in touch throughout the move to assure workers were on time and all was going well. The packers, loaders and unloaders were very respectful and fully protected our housing and belongings. Definitely a class A organization.

    DO NOT HIRE A to Z Moving and Driving!!
    1) The movers showed up two hours late (they did call).
    2) The movers did a horrible job of packing our storage pods. They did not use all of the available furniture pads and protective gear, so our furniture was damaged in transit (and when we were watching them toss our things int��� read moreo the pods). They did not stack boxes and furniture well, so there was a lot of wasted space in the pods. We had to rent a U-Haul to move the rest of our stuff ourselves, because they did such a crappy job.
    3) It took one of the movers 30 minutes to pack our TV in the special TV box, and his buddies sat around waiting for him to finish instead of bringing the rest of our furniture down stairs.
    4) They took 45 minutes over their alloted time to finish packing the pods (maybe because of the TV box).
    5) They left a bunch of stuff at our house and we had to call them to come back and pick it up. They were incredibly rude when they came back.
    6) When we complained about the damage, the wasted time and the wasted space, we were promised repayment...and were never repaid. We contacted Hire a Helper (hired through Hire a Helper--they were great, but were unable to get A to Z to do anything) and also filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. The BBB received no response from A to Z.
    This is the absolute worst moving company I have used, and I have been moved by professional movers 8 times in my life. I would never use them again and would tell anyone considering whether to use A to Z to stay as far away from the company as possible.
