    White, Dr. Darrell E.
I was a patient with Dr. White for over 20 years.  I thought I knew this person.  In spring of 2014 when I saw him for the exam for cataract surgery he seemed different.  In fall of 2014 I had the first eye done.  When he came in to the OR he was very sarcastic and nasty but I did not know why. The next day the ophthalmologist said there was a film over the lens. This he said could be corrected with laser surgery.   Looking back I should never have gone back to let him do the second eye.  At approximately 2 weeks later I went to  the same OR for the second surgery.  I am allergic to a tranquilizer they give before surgery, Versed,  so both times they used Xanax.  Dr. White came into the OR this time and went on a tirade.  He raised his voice and was angry that I could not take the Versed.  He kept hollering and said the Cleveland Clinic would ruin my life for listing this allergy.  He kept ranting and the nurse whispered "just don't say anything or he will get more angry".  Yes I should have gotten up and left - now I realize that.  The next day after the surgery Dr. White came in to follow up exam.  He started hollering again that he had never seen a patient in all his years of practice the next day post op. [ The ophthalmologist does.  ]
There is something seriously wrong with this doctor.  The ophthalmologist came in after he left and said there is a film over the lens and can be corrected later with laser.    I had problems seeing out of the second eye.  Went to several doctors and they would not do the laser and would not tell me why.  I finally went to see a optometrist and he explained the damage to the lens and said it was too late to replace it.  He said they were afraid to further damage it by laser.  Finally a ophthalmologist I saw sent me to a specialist downtown Cleveland. He did not want to do the laser surgery.  Said to get glasses.   This did not work so finally he did the laser surgery and so far its been a few months and I can see out of this eye.  He also did laser to the second eye that did not have the damage to lens.    Question: How bad did Dr. White want the money from the surgery that he preformed  the second surgery knowing I could not take Versed and then carried on like a crazy person BEFORE the surgery. It was really frightening and had serious consequences.  I would not ever want anyone to go through what I went through.

    American Vision
It was the first time that I had used them and they had a large selection of frames. My glasses came in just as they said they would. They had a special going on, so it was a very fair price. The special applied even if I didn't get single vision. They still gave me the same discount for Bifocals or whatever. They used my insurance. I got a notification from my insurance, that they had done the discount. I got two sets of frames and lenses. I use trifocals which, are expensive. I normally pay $500 and they were $320. They had the two pairs discount.

    American's Best
The eye doctor is American's Best in Avon. The doctor was good. The rest of the staff was very, very polite. Actually for the first time it was 5 people looking with me to select the proper glasses with me and that was quite funny. I waited for a couple of minutes before I saw them, they were on time. To a friend who was going to go there, I would say that they should go definitely. The office environment is very good, very competition. They were on time. That was my first time.

    Levine, Mark
He is fantastic! He has even written a book on this procedure. He shortened one muscle because my eyelid was drooping and he fixed my eyelid. He is very thorough, he is very gentle, and he talks very quietly and gently. He lets me know what is going on and he is very easygoing, laid back, and he takes all the stress out.

    Craven, Dr. Paul W.
He's fine. He's in practice by himself which is quite unusual. He's well trained and he's board certified. He's done laser surgery on my eyes, the next one will be for cataracts. I go to him regularly, I go once a year on a regular basis unless there's something else that happens. They're very not friendly, maybe they think they're being business like. He's reserved.

    Seipel, Dr. Scott
He explains the examination as he goes along thereby preparing you for it. He is just very nice. He is patient, easy to understand and speaks very clearly. He answers my questions. He is personable and I feel comfortable with the care of my eyes. I would recommend him to others.

    Michael Good, OD
We like the people there. They have been there quite a while and so we have a nice, friendly relationship. They are very helpful and they are punctual. They do a good, thorough job of checking your eyes. We like him and both my wife and I go to Dr. Good. I have been going to him for 12 to 15 years.

I can't say enough about him. One time I went in to see him and He told me that I needed to go to the eye clinic immediately. I don't live in the area, so he had someone from his staff drop me off and pick me up.

I am grateful for his recommendation because three other ophthalmologists were not willing to repair.
