    Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic
We have two dogs and a cat. We have had all kinds of interesting things with this vet. Knee surgery for a dog, Tooth extraction for a cat. Tooth extraction for a dog. I am not sure what else. It ended up being two teeth. We are a little worried about her appetite but that is it. She seems to be feeling a little better.

    WINDY RIDGE KENNELS
We regularly kennel our two dogs: a beagle/basset mix and a terrier mix, at Windy Ridge.  We have almost always had an outstanding experience there! The dogs actually go into the check-in area enthusiastically and are always happy to see the girl who takes care of them. She knows our dogs and their personalities and deals with them excellently. About the only thing we've ever had that's off is one guy who's sometimes there when we pick the dogs up. He doesn't seem as engaged with the dogs, but other than that, we've always had a top-notch, outstanding experience and use Windy Ridge as our first stop any time we're leaving town.

    Athens Pet Nanny
Angela is so wonderful!!  I have 2 Boxer pups and she charged $12/half hour visit for both dogs in my home.  She is completely trust-worthy with your furry children, as well as having full access to your home.  She always sent me text messages after her visits to let me know how they were doing.  One dog was on medication for a brief time (Angela didn't have to administer, but I was confident she could) and she sent extra updates on how she was, which eased my mind at work.  I wish I could have her all the time, but I will be moving away from Athens, OH.  I utilized her for weekend in-home visits while I was away on business after the local kennel I used left my dogs with weight loss and terrified.  There were no issues and the dogs were so much more happy to be at home with her visiting than at the kennel.

    DOGGIE EXPRESS GROOMING
We took our dog to this place to try it out as we were new to the Mcallen area. We read some online reviews which were deceivingly positive. After our experience, we realized that this place and it's owner could have written those reviews. We made an appointment and left our pet. When we came back at the time we were told, our pet was not ready to go and an employee was still grooming her. Then, the owner took her turn to finish up "quickly" as they were running late. At some point, she instructed a man to bring something that resembled powder (later we learned they apply it to the bleeding area of the pets!). We didn't get suspicious until I took our pet to the car and saw blood on the car seat. We took her immediately back to the store and asked the owner what had happened. She lied to our face and said she hadn't noticed anything wrong during grooming. When we pointed out the powder the man had brought to her, she kept lying. She offered to put that powder on her bleeding paw!!

    Fairfield Pet Hospital
They were really good. Treated my cat with extra special care, she even had some new toys when she came home. Reasonably priced and they were much better than anything I could find in the Athens area (for my specific needs).

    BRIARHILL VETERINARY CLINIC
I called to make an appointment for my cat, Ben, and was able to get in the next day. The receptionist was very helpful as I had to call while on our way to clarify driving directions. When we arrived we were promptly greeted and given a brief form to complete. We were the only ones in the waiting room. We waited approximately five minutes and saw the vet. Dr. Osborne was so nice to Ben and was able to quickly put him at ease and gently control him so that she could complete her exam. It was very clear that building a rapport with her patients is very important. She was proactive with recommending low-cost preventative services and was conservative in recommending additional tests and services that were not absolutely necessary. Dr. Osborne was very thorough and took time to answer any questions that we had. I left feeling that the visit was pleasant and very helpful. It was a great experience and i feel extremely comfortable in taking Ben back for all of his medical needs.

I will continue to take my 3 dogs to Wayne once a week for one-on-one intermediate to advance training. Each dog is a different age, and different level of training, and we all learn something new every session!

    KRONER ANIMAL CARE CTR
Very well. Staff was very friendly, minimal wait time to get to the room. Everyone was asking in detail what was going on and what we wanted them to check on. We had a long list and everyone from the front desk to the Veterinarian were very patient and helpful. As I stated we had a long list, so when we did get the Vet, he let us go over everything one at a time. He didn't pressure us to get to the next patient. Very friendly and didn't make us feel 'stupid' for some of our obvious questions.

    ATHENS VETERINARY CLINIC
We had to wait some time to get back. Once we did we felt very rushed the whole time. We had several questions and he was already to wrap everything up before we were finished. After several months, we got second oppions and confirmed that Athens Vet did not spend enough time with our dog to give an accurate analysis.
Overall price was low, but you get what you pay for.

    Belvoir Pet Hospital
Our 14 year old cat had always been healthy and did not need much medical care.  When we found that she was losing weight, lethargic and extemely uncomfortable because her fur was matting, we took her to Belvoir Pet Hospital. We chose them mainly because of their good ratings.  We found that everyone there lived up to those ratings.  Dr. Laskin was wonderful and kept us informed every step of the way.  She was very open in telling us what our options were and made sure we were aware of the possible treatments, costs, and outcomes, thereby making it easier to make good decisions.  The treatment she prescribed for the hyperthyroidism and matting were successful and our cat gained back some weight but only limited energy.  The doctor was able to examine her further and determined that there were several other serious health issues that would be almost impossible to treat.  She was not able to identify those issues earlier because of the cat's weak condition.  After much consultation on available options, she helped us reach the tough but humane decision, which was to put her down.  Dr. Laskin and the entire staff were very compassionate and they all took the time to be with us and give us their full attention for as long as we needed.  They even sent us a condolence card which reinforced what we already knew - they really care!!  We would totally recommend this hospital to any pet owner and when we decide to adopt another pet, will absolutely use their services.
