  • Jeff and his crew were great to work with, I was very comfortable having them in my house when I was at work. Jeff made sure I was updated daily. He listened to every concern I had and answered all my questions. He consulted me with even the smallest decisions. I can't wait to have them do my kitchen.

  • George is very professional and prompt to respond to messages.  He charges by the hour and his estimate is based on how long he thinks it will take him to do the work.  His actual charge is for the actual time spent and he documents it in his invoice.  He will buy the materials and add that in or allow you to get the materials yourself.  He was willing to work with my "do you think we can make this work" requests and was able to blend old refinished and new finished trim pieces around my new bay window and crafted a windowsill where there wasn't one before. I was totally comfortable having him work alone in the house and lock up when he left.

  • Excellent! Countertops measured perfectly. Installed efficiently, neatly, being very careful not to damage anything during removal of old counters and installation of new ones. quality workmanship during installation. They made sure we were "totally satisfied" before they left. Were totally punctual and professional on the dates of counter measurements and installation.

  • This has been one of the worst experiences of a lifetime dealing with this company. They have proven to have no integrity and their unprofessionalism and evasiveness is astounding. They do not return emails or phone calls. We met Joe back on March 30, 2013 to discuss our needs. We told him that we needed time to do prep work and probably would not have someone start until after May 6, 2013. We were concerned about this because the Big Deal special expired on May 6th. He assured us not to worry, because we were already "in the loop." He guaranteed us that we would still get our 40 hours, and that he would put that in writing. He failed to do so and still has not. If this would have been a problem, we certainly would have scheduled the work before the expiration. After planning our remodel and my husband taking vacation to help the worker, so that we may get one worker for 40 hours, instead of 2 workers for 20 hours, we were ready to go and this is where the nightmare begins. We asked for five 8 hours days, to fulfill our Big Deal special. They sent out a worker that had known medical issues and sent him out anyway. They had a choice to reschedule with us and my husband could have cancelled his vacation until later, but they proceeded to send him out. Aaron did not show the first day. The second day, which ended up being his actual first day and also was his longest work day, he left early. He started a project and tore out our bathtub. On the third day, he left after 1.5 hours and said that he couldn't go further because our shower niches had not arrived yet. This was inexcusable since he barely had started our bathroom and was not ready for them at that point. He could have kept working on the other things or started another one of our projects. He just decided to leave. He stated that he was trying to SAVE hours for the hall bath. We never asked him to do that and this made no sense to us at all. He informed my husband that the next day he would have to leave early for a doctor's appointment. He came on the fourth day and said that he would have to be leaving earlier than he stated the day before. As it turns out, he left even earlier than any other times he told my husband previously. He kept moving the doctor's appointment up. At this point, we were getting really worried since we wanted our 40 hours completed before my husband went back to work. Aaron knew this. We originally told Aaron and he assured us that he would work each evening until we kicked him out and also all weekend until it was finished. When my husband asked him if he would be working the weekend he stated "Oh no. I already made plans!!!" This was after he knew he was barely getting any hours worked, was constantly leaving early, and promised us that we would have our 40 hours by the end of the week. He never stayed late and certainly did not work the weekend. More promises broke. The week was coming to a close and barely anything was started from our list and nothing was finished. My sons decided to go out of town on vacation during this week to be out of the way. They returned dumbfounded as to why nothing was done. Needless to say, no worker has been back since. My husband's year long, well deserved vacation was ruined by sitting around waiting for someone to show up for work to begin. He could have saved it and actually went somewhere nice to relax instead of sitting here and waiting for someone to actually show up and start the work. Very upset. This was scheduled with Cap City for awhile and they knew he was on vacation, but decided to allow him to just squander it away. Now, we are stuck with no vacation, a house that is tore up and a mess, no bathtub, and no communication with this company. The hardship that we have endured thus far is incomprehensible due to their negligence. And, left us high and dry with no bathtub. They did not seem to be concerned in the least. It has been almost three weeks. After trying several times to communicate with them and finally talking to the owner, Dave, I was told that he would have another guy come out and would call me and let me know either that day or the next. Once again, I sat around waiting for some information and that promised call, but do you think he called back, like he stated? What does customer service mean to this company? You don't tell clients something and not follow through. You would think after everything, they would be on the ball. I guess asking them to honor everything they say and do is asking for too much. I asked him for a few things to be put into writing so that we are all clear with moving forward, since their was a lapse in service. I also sent an email stating that we want these things put into writing before we could begin again. Another gentleman called to set up a time to come back out, but we told him, on advice, to have these things put into writing, before they continue. This is to protect us since this company has now lost their integrity with us. So far they have refused. We have heard nothing from them. They have had plenty of time to get this simple request in writing and sent to us. They don't seem to want to do this and you have to wonder why. They wanted us to have a written agreement with them for higher estimates on our project. We decided that we weren't going to do that because we only wanted our 40 hour Angie's List special Big Deal. The purchase of this special was our contract. We told them after the 40 hours were complete that if we want or need additional time, we would reevaluate and decide what we could afford at that time. My husband ended up doing all of the flooring an demo work, that was needed, himself, which saved us a lot of time and money with this company. The estimate they originally gave seemed pretty extreme. It seemed to us that they set up the Angie's List Big Deal offer to get people interested and then when an actual highly estimated bid was offered to us, but refused, things deteriorated from there. Aaron even stopped his work one day to go call Joe to let them know that we will reevaluate and possibly add hours as needed after the 40 hours was done. He seemed really consumed with this notion. We feel like a few hours that Aaron was here were squandered away, except for the first day that he actually showed up. The other two days, he did not get much of anything done. After he would leave, we would scratch our heads of what had actually got done. My husband says that there was no way it took him the time he was there to accomplish the task he was working on. After emailing Joe to voice our concerns and for answers as to why this was occurring, we have been getting the runaround and have barely received any communication from them, let alone an apology from either Joe or Dave. They have shown no remorse for their actions or planning. Things started to really go downhill after emailing Joe about how much time Aaron was spending here and asking them to do what we paid them to do and in the time expected. We have heard next to nothing and have received no results. We told them not to send out another worker until they have put the following in writing. So far they have not or have refused to, I suppose, since we have absolutely nothing.

    1. Total hours we have remaining since there was a break in service. (We documented the time Aaron arrived and when he pulled out of the driveway. Dave told me that Aaron turned in more time than we documented. Why are more hours being turned in than the worker was here? Aaron told my husband that Joe would add 4 hours onto our time for the inconvenience of everything. So far nothing has been done. We need to be crystal clear on the hours worked. I told them the hours we felt we were at and if they refuted, they could make a trip to verify and confirm the amount of work Aaron performed and the hours that he was here and was documented. This was a chance for all to come together to agree.)
    2. A written guarantee that a worker will be here for full 8 hour days.
    3. The written guarantee that Joe promised us in March for the 40 hours, even after May 6, 2013. (We don't know that they aren't going to honor the 40 hours, but they way things are transpiring, it wouldn't surprise us if they try to get away with that. Joe said this to my husband and I and also to our kid were in the house when he said it.)
    4. A written one year guarantee of their craftsmanship and work performed. (They offer a warranty on their other services, so figured that would be acceptable to them and they should guarantee their work. We are also concerned about the quality of work that would be given to us, after the negativity between their company and our family. There has been no doubt that negative feelings have been developed with everything that they have put our family through and the fact that of us having to chase them down to get answers and resolution. This is the avoidance that we spoke of earlier.)

A very bad experience for us. I wish I had known they had other Angie's List members giving them bad reviews. When I purchased the Big Deal special they did not have these bad reviews. Something has happened to them in the past few months. It seems that others are also getting disappointing services or results from them.

We want our money completely refunded. The very little work performed does not outweigh the inexcusable hardship and suffering and a vacation gone forever that they have caused. The time wasted along with our family, who will be coming in a few weeks, in the midst of this mess and unfinished work, is causing enormous stress. The whole situation is extremely unfair and they have proven to be unconcerned with their lack of integrity, communication, compassion, or professionalism. To sum this whole experience up in one statement, we would have to state that this company does not do what they say and they don't say what they do. BEWARE!!

  • I am so disappointed with it. Everyday I have to look at this tile and it is so upsetting. The guy did not take responsibility or blame for the way it looks, he acted like it is perfect and it's not. It's a straight cut tile and it's supposed to be put in very level and uniform. WHat they did is said that in order to meet up with some exisiting tile in my hallway they had to put every tile off just a little bit. Now, you can see shadows where the tile is not flat against each other. He said it is an 1/8 of an inch and it is acceptable, but it looks horrible. I don't know why they didn't put some underlaying down to compensate for what had to be raised. now my tile is all jagged. He should have told me that it wouldn't be the right tile to put there or to put smaller tile. He should have told me before so I could have chose something more appropriate for my situation. I told him he needs to put it all in writing someone can agree to all this. I am just so upset. I had him come out here and he would not take any responsibility and he said it looks fine. He said my other tile wasn't even and it was, he's just playing a mind game with me. I wish I had not made that second payment until I had seen it. I don't know how they didn't know this was going to happen and that it wasn't acceptable. They didn't tell me to clear my closets or cover anything up and they had dust all over the place after sawing it. That is so unprofessional, they didn't even tell me to give me an opportunity to fix it, most people are prepared to protect peoples stuff. They had the highest price and the best grade on Angie's List so I went with them because I didn't want it to be screwed up and now it's screwed up. They also had to put it against some carpeting and they tacked it down so much and it ran a fiber, they acted like they didn't do it. I had to have another person come and connect the carpet the tile the way it should be. It seems like that's something they should do. He said he said there were too many holes and acted like it wasn't his responsibility. I'd never use them again or recommend them.
