    BANFIELD THE PET HOSPITAL
We have had our cats on their Wellness plan for over 13 years. All of the vets there have been very professional & compassionate. The front desk staff & vet techs have also been wonderful over the years. The staff recognize us & our pets before we even sign in. I trust that my pets will be adequately cared for. I have had services ranging from semi-annual comprehensive exams to minor surgery. Last year, we had to euthanize one of our cats, & the Banfield staff could not have been more understanding and compassionate throughout the process. I recommend their services to everyone I know.

    Healthy Paws Pet Insurance
I called Healthy Paws Pet Insurance on January 20, 2015 to inquire about their insurance coverage, cost, what was covered, what was not covered, how payments were made and much more.  The representative answered all my questions and walked me through the sign-up process.   Prior to calling Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, I researched the top-rated pet insurance companies on the internet for what each company offered, what was covered, what was not covered, premiums, payments, etc.  Healthy Paws Pet Insurance HANDS DOWN was the front runner.   I have had pet insurance before through other companies and was not pleased with them.  So often after submitting a claim, things were denied or not paid appropriately (they would pay/reimburse for usual and customary costs not what you had to pay your veterinarian). With Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, if you incur a covered expense, they reimburse you the cost you pay (depending on your reimbursement and deductible level you chose), not what is the "usual and customary cost" of the service.   They offer different levels of reimbursement and deductible options which is helpful.  I chose the 90% reimbursement with a $250 deductible. There is a 15 day waiting period for accident or illness after getting your policy. Depending on the breed of dog being insured, there may be a waiting period for any genetic issue.  For a German Shepherd dog, there is a one year waiting period for hip dysplasia. I specifically purchased this insurance because of the breed disposition of hip and/or elbow dysplasia.  I wanted to make sure that if or when our dog developed any of these issues, that we could afford to do the surgery on her. I highly recommend this company for pet insurance.

    BANFIELD THE PET HOSPITAL
I like that I can take my dog in if anything were to happen and I am not charged for the visit. They also provide a reduced fee soe the annual shots. My dog loves to go there and he even recognizes the staff. I am happy with their services.

    Embrace Pet Insurance
I found them online.  They are wonderful.  There are two levels of policy.  You could choose what level you want and also choose if you want just to cover the illness.  You can set up a bank account for the premiums or charge you on the credit card.  When you have a claim, they process it very fast and they put the money right in your checking account.  There is no hassle of going to the bank.  They will let you know when it?s going to be processed.  I just have no complaints.  We have tried a pet insurance in the past and we were not satisfied.  Embrace Pet Insurance will definitely get an ?A+?.  My dog who died March a year ago and she was insured with them and our current dog is also insured with them.  It has been several years since we got them.   They are just a very wonderful company and considerate.  They will call you back immediately.  They are always on top of everything.  I never thought an insurance will be that great.  I will absolutely use them in the future.

    Pets Best Insurance Services LLC
I studied pet insurance. I really studied all the different companies and the way they work and different things like that. The reason I did Pets best was, it was just a simple policy, $5000 a year if she gets sick or an accident. I can use it anywhere that I need to. I wanted to go with another provider, but they were so expensive and you've got to pay a deductible for a lot of the different pet insurance companies for each incident. Like if she broke her leg, I would pay the deductible. Each time I took her in for that particular thing, I wouldn't have to pay the deductible. But if a different incident happened, then I would have to pay another deductible. With Pets best, the way it's setup, they pay 90% and I pay the other 10. I think I have a deductible of $100 a year, if I'm not mistaken. So, when I take her in, I pay the first $100 and then they pay 90 and I pay the other 10. I only bought it in case of a major catastrophe. I don't want to be in a position where I have to put her down or something because I can't take care of her. Of all the different pet insurance companies I spoke with, I like the person that I spoke with at Pets best the best.

    VPI Pet Insurance
We purchased pet insurance for our rescue puppy. They were not sure what breed she is, but that she would be a very large dog. After having large dogs in the past I know how expensive it can be - so we dicided to get this insurance when it was most affordable. After researching the plans with all of the carriers and online/angies list reviews we settled on VPI. We did not need the state-of-the-art package, but we wanted to be covered for the large issues. We also opted for some well-care reimbursement. We paid the $70 (two month premium)up front installment and the packet would arrive in 2 weeks. Well, to no fault of VPI the dog did not work out. Unfortunately she had to be returned to the rescue and because I called in the original 10 day cancellation window we received a full refund. The gentleman on the phone was also very compassionate and understanding about the situation. We had a refund within 5 days of the request. I will be sure to use VPI when we try for another dog in the future.

    VPI Pet Insurance
I was surprised not to see any pet insurance companies listed when I did a search at Angie's List. Perhaps it is because no provider address is in Columbus. I picked up a brochure on pet insurance at my vets office. I was offered insurance from AKC when I registered my puppy, but it seemed expensive. I did a couple of on line check of pet insurance companies and settled on VPI. My vet stated they had good coverage and the price for comparable coverage was $300 less than AKC! We purchased the plan that covers 90% of emergency visits after a $50 deductible and routine visits. Took the optional wellness coverage which covers up to a certain amount of flea and heart worm medicine, dental cleaning, etc. A lot of people give advice not to get insurance for pets because of the cost, but I think it is well worth it. On the wellness coverage, it basically pays for things you would buy anyway. Then we had an emergency visit with our puppy eating a rubber nylabone. Emergency visit at 1:00 am with x-rays cost $300. Insurance covered $220 of it. This stuff pays for itself!

    VPI Pet Insurance
The way Veterinary Pet Insurance works is that you go to your vet and get the service and then you submit the receipt, claim, and the information to them and then they reimburse you according to your policy. This insurance company allowed me to care for my dog and provide her with the best because of the policy that I had. They paid for her treatments and a good percentage of it. I pay for my pet's veterinary services and then I get all the money back, minus the $50 deductible. With this kind of policy, it's like a real protection because I know that I can do what needed to be done in order to take care of her. It's just a wonderful thing and people should really look into it. There's a lot of different policies. I've had no complaints on this company.
