    Tree Images
On May 2, 2018 Tree Images quoted us $200 to remove two tree stumps. We agreed with their quote and their timing of three (3) weeks. On May 24, I called since the work was not done and was told it would be either the following week, or the week after. I waited another week and then cancelled. What the heck? You cant plan better than that? You couldnt fit the removal of two tree stumps in a four WEEK window! You TOLD us three weeks. We NEEDED this done to move on with our backyard project and you couldnt find a couple of hours. Now our project is way behind because of your poor planning. Thanks.

    DAVID VOGEL LANDSCAPING
The experience went quite well and I was satisfied with all aspects of the work. He and his men were respectful to my property and worked very hard. The price was higher than expected but several jobs were added as we went along at his recommendation and my request. I never felt he was taking advantage of me. I have had several compliments about the job, and people have asked for his name.

The Davey Tree Expert Company- Cincinnati & N Cincinnati
We cancelled it this year because we felt they were way too expensive with the trimming of few bushes. We were very happy. We thought it was reasonable. I wanted them to trim about 2 feet off the top of four evergreens and they wanted us to charge $450. That was way too expensive. Last year, they did great.

    JR's Trees
Exceeded our expectations. We used them 6 years ago at our last house on five acres and had a great experience/price. This time we had 9 towering maples on our 1/2 acre lot in Pierce Township. They all had to be climbed because they were close to house and the neighbors & no room for equipment. We decided to get a few estimates, but this company again won hands down.

They came within a week of the estimate (had some rain), with a crew of 7 and did a great job. Provided proof of insurance in advance which all checked out. No problems and did everything we agreed, cleaned up and even did some extra trimming & stump removal, wood carrying. These trees were taller than our 2 story and one was really big next to neighbors privacy fence & shed. Handled it all skillfully. Gave us some good tips on ornamental trees that would look good in the backyard.

We try to get routine tree work scheduled in early spring or late winter outside the mad rush. But if it's busy tree cutting season, I will just get on the schedule. Would be worth the wait.

Long time Family company from what I understand. It was a plus that they were all cheerful and helpful. Everyone we spoke to had a smile and genuinely wanted to make sure we were satisfied. Wow.

We will use them again and recommend them.

    Dewees Tree Service
Same as above: Absolutely nothing! I have used Dewees in the past and was very happy with their work so when I needed some tree trimming work done they were my first choice. I submitted an online request for a quote for work - no response in over a week. My wife called and left a message for Gary Dewees and no response in over a week. I then tried to call the same number numerous times and message stating his mailbox was full. Evidently they have enough work to where they do not even need to answer customer calls or online requests.

Everything went well until we asked about the huge pile of wood shavings left by grinding out the stump.  They replied it was not in their contract to clean up the wood shavings.  They did clean them up, but were obviously not happy about it.  We have used Tree Images several times over the years and have never been told the cleanup was not included.  We were asked not to call them again.

These folks came highly recommended by a neighbor.  We were very excited as they seemed anxious to please and their estimate was very reasonable.  On the first visit, they planted a tree and were to apply sod in an area left bare from a previous tree removal. They ran out of sod and had to go and get more.  The sod they brought back, looked like they had dug it out of someone's yard.  It had weeds and clover in it.  They also sprayed the ivy around our trees to kill it and asked us to call them in the spring for removal of the dead ivy.  We contacted them in the spring as suggested.  They did not call or show up on the agreed date or time.  We tried several times to reach them and when we finally did, they said they had equipment breakdown and would be late.  We agreed on a different date and time.  Again the landscaper was very late with no call to me until I finally reached the partner who said they would be there in 1 hour.  It was three hours later when they finally showed up again with no call to me.  The ivy was finally removed and we asked that they come back and plant Lariope around the trees where the ivy had been removed.  They did not returned our calls to schedule this appointment.  We ended up doing the work ourselves.  These folks are good talkers and seem to want to the business and go on and on about how they care about their customers. They are very unreliable. Classic case of once they got busy, they no longer seem to care about the quality of their work.

    Eastern Hills Tree Service Inc
I originally contacted Louis in mid September.  He returned my call and advised me before coming out for the estimate that he was backed up at least a month with work so that I could decide immediately if I wanted to investigate other alternatives.  Due to the superior rating on Angie's List I wanted to work with Eastern Hills, so we scheduled an appointment for the estimate.  When he came out for the estimate, Louis found additional dead trees in our heavily wooded lot and we decided to move forward with removing 4 dead ash trees.
He contacted us the day prior to performing the work as we arranged.  Between the time of the estimate and the work, a fifth tree had become the victim of a wind storm and was leaning heavily.  Louis agreed to take care of that tree as well.  His crew worked all day to remove 5 very large trees in a difficult space.  To my amazement very small trees very near the ones removed were not damaged at all.  The crew hauled away all the trees and cleaned up to the point where it was better than when they arrived.
I highly recommend Eastern Hills and will use them again when the need arises.

    Spider Tree Service Inc.
I am preparing this note to inform you of how pleased I was
with the work that the two young men from Spider Tree Service, Inc. did for
    me.
They removed a very large wild cherry three in my back yard
that was partially dead and that was located in an area that was difficult to
access. At my request, they cut the tree into lengths that after splitting will
fit easily into my fireplace.  Because my
driveway was difficult to get into given the size of their truck, they
carefully placed plywood planks on the ground thus preventing the truck tires
from sinking into the ground and seriously damaging my grass. I checked that
area after they departed and there was no damage done to my grass or ground.
These young men were patient and very polite.  They also gave me some good advice regarding
the care of other trees on my property.
Finally, their fee was very reasonable.
I would highly recommend Spider Tree Service, Inc. to anyone who is in
    need of tree removal
or any of the other tree services this company
    provides.

Buyer beware! Angie's list and Affordable Tree Service are con artists. They sold coupon for tree services that they have no intention of honoring the coupon. I think Angie's is desperate for cash. I called both entities many times and nobody responded.
