After coming over and giving an estimate at the beginning of June, we were told the project was slated to start "at the beginning of July".  We received word that - due to weather - work would not begin until "the first week of August".  The actual start date was the second week of August.
On Monday, August 11th, tearout began of the old patio.  The crew was punctual and worked hard all day.  That evening we received torrential rains (2-3" overnight).  The crew was onsite Tuesday, August 12th, and began work.
Although we told the crew foreman that we'd prefer if they placed sheets of plywood down as to not destroy our yard and driveway, the crew continued to work unabated.  This resulted in complete destruction of the turf of our back yard as well as driveway.  I've got picture proof of 3' deep ruts caused by the excavator.
We contacted Dave immediately and made him aware of the issue.  He replied this would be fixed.
Upon completion of the patio job on Friday, August 15th, the work crew asked where they could get topsoil close.  We suggested driving a mile up the road to a supply store, but they scoffed at the price of $28/yard.  Rather, they left a crew of 3 sitting at my house and drove 40 minutes away to get a load of unscreened, wet, clay filled topsoil for just $13/yard.
Dave was notified that the soil they returned with was so clay filled the workers couldn't break up all of the clumps.  We received no reply.
We paid the final bill - which was nearly $500 over estimate.
Fast forward a month:  While we're happy with the patio, there is a section of yard about 10'x15' that is so hard and compact grass will not grow.  There are balls of clay the size of softballs and it's difficult to even get the mower across them.
We send BHW an email detailing our concerns, advising of the fact that we had made them aware of this originally, and received a reply 2 days later that for "$75" the "cost of materials and gas" they would come and remedy the problem.
After posting screenshots of the email chain on my personal Facebook to voice my concerns, a follow up email from the company stated they'd "fix the problem free of charge" if I were to "remove my negative comments" from my personal Facebook page.
While the work on the patio appears to be done well, I seriously question the integrity of a company that 1) is not responsive to initial consumer concerns, 2) bills over the estimate and claims "they didn't know what they were getting into" even though Dave estimated the job himself, 3) offers to fix a problem of their creation for an additional fee, and 4) tries to blackmail it's customers from leaving sub-par reviews.  We will not be using them again.

They were really responsive. I put a think on line and he called me back that night or next day. He was highly knowledgeable. If you have I guess a lot of tree issues, with his knowledge a part of me really wanted to go with him, he was more knowledgeable than the others. He knew a lot about trees and was clearly experienced.

Their service has always been very professional. We have used them for lawn mowing, trimming, mulching, Fall clean up and Spring clean up as well as replacing wood borders around the flower bed.  Dale is a fine young man and emplyees very professional personnel. The come in, do their work, clean up and make sure everything is to my satisfaction.I would highly recommed this business to anyone.

We had hired Mike to remove the Blue Spruce trees in the front yard. Also, as part of the contract, he was to bring in fill dirt to the front yard. He did remove the trees, but when we returned from Florida, we found the fill dirt part of the job had not been completed. I contacted the company and a woman stated he would not be performing that part of the contract as it wasn't worth the dollar amount that I owed to complete the contract. I would never recommend this company, even tho I had found them to be satisfactory in the past, because they didn't live up to their agreement.

I have got two properties and I'm using them now on one of my properties.  They are very professional.  They call you right away.  When I discuss things with them I could tell they know their business.  They have started the job and will be finishing it by end of August.  I would say that they are right on top.

Came out on time and did a great job.  Kept most of the gravel in the drive which is a big plus compared to other providers
