    Tim's Home Improvement
I met Tim and his son. Both guys worked with a smile and got the job done in a timely manner. My wife and I could not be any happier with our new bathroom. I can't believe it's even the same room, that's how big of a transformation it is. Great job Tim and crew!

    Usawaterproofing
I put my info into Angies list, and USA waterproofing called me 3 times. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate. They called again to confirm the appointment. On the day of the appointment, they never showed up and never called. I called them and they told me they werent sure why nobody showed up and that someone would call me to reschedule. Seriously?

    Ohio Home Improvement
We could not be happier with our decision to hire OHI for our remodeling projects! We purchased an older home that needed extensive work. Mike Ross was our project manager on the first phase of our work, and we requested him back for the remainder of our projects. He takes great pride in his work and makes sure it is all done right. Shawn was the other main guy on the team and he was great, too. They were both a pleasure to have in my home every day and very approachable with questions or concerns. We are going to be tackling the Master Bedroom and Bath next, and I will not hesitate to call OHI for the work.

    Severns Construction LLC
Severns did a great job at completing my basement project with all of my specifications. He was very accommodating and was able to make changes as I needed. His team worked around my schedule was very cost competitive. He also worked with me as I wanted to do some of the work myself to help reduce the cost.

    Ohio Basement Systems
We called Ohio Basement Systems in March 2016 to get an estimate for our basement. We had been dealing with dampness for years and growth on the walls that ran along the dive way side of our home. They had an inspector come out the next day, he was very polite and able to offer several solutions. The cost was reasonable  but, my husband and I wanted a little time to think it over. The inspector never made us feel pressured which was very important to us, we wanted to really think things over without jumping in. We had two other estimates that same week and decided to let Ohio Basement Systems fix our basement. We were able to begin work this June and the crew showed up on time and took the time to even lay plastic down in the entry way to our basement so our floors were kept clean. The crew leader kept us up to date on the progress they were making and was happy to answer the questions we had. The job was completed in three days and our basement looks beautiful and so far has remained dry even after the recent heavy rain we had. We are very pleased with the way our basement looks and we will be recommending them to all of our family and friends.

    Ber's HVAC, Plumbing & Electric
Paid $150 for 2 hours of labor.  Showed the tech exactly what we wanted, which was quite simple:  run a gas line off an existing capped off line, across the unfinished basement ceiling, and then on top of the finished area of the basement as we were installing a drop ceiling that would hide it.  The only special request was to drill a hole through the joist above the door frame.  He made mention that the run was longer than the 40 feet I'd estimated but he had extra on the truck. I was shocked when he showed me the invoice for $290 for 60 feet of flexible hose and 4 fittings. I was even more shocked when my husband arrived home and went downstairs to check out the job and asked why he hadn't done the one thing I'd requested in drilling that hole.  Further, I realized the run was only 50 feet NOT 60, and the width of the entire house is only 54 feet!  Since I had an electrical service scheduled I waiting until then to complain about the overcharge.  Nothing came of it, and instead, when we ran into difficulties on that job (see the next review)  there no offer to make up for this overcharge in any way.
Over the last three years I have referred clients to Ber's as I had a previously been told they did a good job; after this I am no longer doing so and have removed them from the "preferred providers" list on my company's website.

    Ber's HVAC, Plumbing & Electric
The installer was nearly 1 hour late. He got lost and needed much help to find my address. He didn't have a gps and he needed street by street directions from me to finally arrive here. The service I purchased was for 2 hours of electrical service. While I had a few small projects for him to accomplish he only had time (due to his getting lost) one of my tasks. I feel I could have hired an electrician myself at the same or even lower price for the work provider by this company

    3G's Construction
There are 3 numbers you call in an emergency: 911, your mother, and Rich Gould.
As stupid first time home buyers- my husband and I, our realtor, and our home inspector all missed major termite damage done to our downstairs. After over a year of investigating legal action, it was decided that the cost to sue was too high, with the outcome not being guaranteed.
After receiving several estimates upwards of $35,000 (and that was just for the hardwood and subfloor work), we thought we would be stuck with a dangerous situation that we could never afford to fix. Certainly, we'd take a loss if we ever sold our home. And then came Rich!
We had brought him in months before to quote a different project, and had never contacted him thinking this was outside the scope of his company. We neglected to realize, there is literally NOTHING he can't fix. And if he can't fix it- he knows who to call to get it done.
Not to sound dramatic, but he truly was our angel for this project. It was a total disaster area for a couple days- I mean you rip out your subfloor it is gonna be messy! But he and his team did their very best to keep us comfortable.
He always answered or returned my texts and calls. He always asked me first is something unforeseen needed done. He kept me constantly in the loop, and often did not charge me for little extras that came about. He even gifted us new baseboards because he refused to use the old ones!
It was a huge job that took a bit longer than the anticipated 3 weeks (about 5)- mostly because of crazy stuff you find in a 80 year old house, or because I added things on to his list. He is a perfectionist, detail oriented, professional, and above all he is fair and kind. In fact Jackson (paint & drywall expert) was sent almost immediately to my house to correct something minor on the ceiling.
The final cost did exceed the original price, but not by a heck of a whole lot- and mostly due to my add ons. And even with all the unexpected repairs, Rich either found areas where we could reduce the cost, or did not charge me if it was negligible. He is
I trust Rich, and all of the guys on his crew to come in my house, and do whatever they need to do. As a woman, you hope if you ever find yourself alone with a contractor, you feel safe. I feel totally safe with anyone associated with Rich in my house, with or without my husband being there.
Shout outs to all the guys: Mike, Steve, and Rich Jackson, (and an unnamed plumber)- all great friendly guys willing to go above and beyond that helped with the project.
There is NO ONE ELSE I will ever use to do anything around my house without either A) Calling Rich first, or B) There is no B.
In fact, they are starting our bathroom reno next week! By the end of this year- Rich Could and his guys will all practically be family, and I am very okay with that!

    Kingsmill Group Inc
I owned a ranch-style home at the time and was eager to have some work done in the basement...add a small bar, new light fixtures, painting, trim, etc. Chip came out and offered a very reasonable price on the job. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and also offered some great ideas about the space that I didn't even consider. I did obtain two other quotes from competing businesses in the area, and although Ohio Basements was not the cheapest, I felt most confident that Chip and his crew would do the best job on the space provided. The work took a total of about 4-5 weeks. The area was pretty small, but they made it look amazing! The contractors were completely professional and knowledgeable. They were perfectionists! The were also extremely tidy/neat. Some days I barely knew there was a construction zone in my home. The job was completed in the time and budget that was predicted. I was more than satisfied!
The bar, the lighting, trim and paint really brought the space to life and definitely added value to my home. The custom-made bar, although small, was really a work of art. I had to sell the house only a year or so after the work was completed due to a job relocation, and I hated to leave.
I relocated about an hour away and actually hired the company again for a bathroom remodel. The work and the contractors were efficient and knowledgeable, which put my mind at ease once again. The bathroom also turned out awesome. This is definitely a company I would use time and time again.
