    BECKER BUILDING & CONSTR LLC
Although they attempted one time to repair the cracking foundation on a new foyer that they built just five years ago, I continue to have problems with cracking / shifting foundation as seen in the attached picture. Even after numerous requests, they have been unresponsive at providing a permanent fix to the problem which appears to be getting worse year after year. Im unsure if this company is still in business at this time.

    Stone's Construction & Remodeling LLC
The crew was very professional throughout the whole process. They were respectful of my property and pets, and cleaned up as they completed each job. Chad Stone and crew is very personable and really cared about completing the job to everyone's satisfaction. He did several extra items without demanding more money, unlike many contractors I've used in the past. The project was completed before the due date and below budget. I'm a retired Maintenance/Construction Manager and can appreciate a good attitude and good work. Stone's Construction was a pleasure to work with and I have faith they can meet any need you might have. Tom

2 years later, my driveway is pitted and scaling. I contacted the manager, and he came out to check my driveway. He claims my driveway is falling apart due to the salt from the undercarriage of my car. Even tho I keep my car in the garage. And I don't use salt on my driveway. He claims they " don't make concrete like they used to" when I stated that every other driveway in the state of Ohio would be scaling because of the salt. I've consulted with a few other contractors, and researched my problem on several concrete websites--all had same conclusion: too much water was used in mixing the concrete. Very disappointed in the work and customer service.

Gave all info of contract work we wanted to get done. Promised an email within a week but got it after 2 weeks. I tried to respond via email about changing the quote and additional questions. This took another few weeks. I can understand to an extent since Dan did mention he was very busy however it seems if  you don't commit right away they don't care? My assumption could be definitely wrong about them but they're not very responsive to quotes.  I still am waiting for a missing quote but we're about 2 months out since they came to my house and have not received a complete quote after 3 attempts to call the office and 2-3 attempts to email Dan. Again they seem genuine however I won't be doing with them this go around since I have nothing from them

It went great.  Stephan was available to meet with us 3 time to go over what we wanted.  He was prompt with the quote and theprice was right.  He did another deck in our neighborhood so I had seen his quality and knew that if the price was right he was the one to get the job.  His planning was great.  The materials were delivered a couple days before they started.  They showed up when they said they would.  Stephan works so efficiently that they completed the whole project in one day.  They cleaned up after in a very professional way. It showed they were proud of their work.
What he built is solid with little touches like routed edges.  We are so happy with the work.  It is exactly what we discussed and wanted.

Always takes longer than expected especially on a big job like this one.  Changes always are requested.  Job started in early November, finished on December 30, 2014. Replanting of front yard will have to wait till Spring.  Original bid was $29,500.  Final cost was $36,654. We added several projects to original job, and we feel the additional charges and time frame were fair.
We were impressed with Dan for what he was willing to do.  He was the only contractor, even among the contractors your website recommended, who would take on our garage floor and driveway lowering project.    He owns a similar house with a similarly steep drive and it was evident he took a personal interest in our job because he planned to do the same for himself.
His crew were timely, polite, competent.  His work yard is located at the north edge of Akron, and that made for quick and frequent oversight at our address, only a couple of miles away.
We would recommend him for any concrete or foundation work, and for any of the followup carpentry and electrical work needed. Dan worked for a major commercial firm before starting his own business, and has experience rebuilding foundations for some of the older landmark buildings on the Kent State campus.

I am a recently new home owner and had a dated kitchen (1950's)  Shopped different contractors to find the best quote for the job.  Dan's proposal beat out the other contractors by far.  He came out and met multiple times before the start of the project and was very organized.  He was very flexible with my schedule (as I work in the evenings).  He introduced me to his workers that would be helping him on the kitchen before they even started.  His employees displayed professionalism throughout the duration of the project and constantly kept me updated and informed on the progress of the renovation.  Dan was easy to get in touch with at all times of the day and addressed any issues himself personally.  He was not always there himself but inspected his employees work at the end of each stage of the project.  He made valueable suggestions on areas of construction and renovation that I am not familiar with and let me make the ultimate decision instead of just doing as he saw fit.  He finished the project in a timely manner and the final bill was not a penny more than his original proposal.  He is hardworking and passionate about his business and I would recommend him and his employees to anyone I know.

    Architectural Options Inc
We initially met with Kevin from Architectural Options July 12th, 2011. We explained to Kevin that we wanted a larger living room, to
expand the existing living space outward over a cold cellar space under the front porch. Kevin said and quot;that can be done!and quot;. So we shared our ideas on what we wanted, he then took all his notes to draw up our ideas. Over a few more conversations with Kevin we added the deck, mud room and vinyl siding, fine tuning all our ideas on paper before proceeding on to the blueprints. In
December 2011 we reviewed the preliminary blueprints, we were very impressed with all the detail and the extras that were added. A few changes were discussed and our approval to continue on to produce the final blueprints. By mid April 2012 the plans were finalized, Kevin scheduled the contractors to stop by and review the blueprints and provide estimates for their portion of the work. Kevin chose contractors from previous projects. He has confidence in the quality of work they perform.
On June 1st the fun began, this is where Kevin removed his Architech and Design hat and put on his Construction Manager hat. The first work was in the attic, we needed the attic space reinforced to support our new roof that was coming. When the house was build in 1924 they didn't have the quality workmanship and structural codes like they do today. Also added power, lighting and flooring for storage. After that the footers were installed at the back of the house for the deck and mud room. 6-26-2012 the work started on the front brick retaining wall to change the entrance from the center of the wall to just one corner, he finished 8-11-2012. There was a lot of 80lb bricks that needed to be moved, realigned, cut and installed. Excellant job!!! 7-9-2012 the carpenter started on the deck/mud room project, it was ready for roof and siding on 8-8-2012. The roof received a complete tear off including all the wood, the over hangs were re-worked also, (they were extremely old style), reinforced them to a more modern look, this started 7-30-2012 and lasted little over a week. The carpenter move to demolish the front porch and installed the framework for the new living room space, this took approximatley two weeks. The siding installers came on 8-21-2012 and began siding the detached garage and the whole house in little over a week. What a difference new siding makes!! The carpenter completed the framing of the new living room, including a large walkin closet, then the insulators came in and installed insulation in all the exterior walls. 9-6-2012 The drywallers came in to hang all the drywall including exterior grade drywall on the front porch and in the ceiling of the deck, completed on schedule under two weeks. They did a great job also!! After all that the electricians came back to install all the
new outlets, two ceiling fans in the new living room, a new fan on the deck, all new exterior lighting, including new LED dusk to dawn deck lights and also motion security lighting. Oh and I can't forget about Kevin's dimming can style deck lights, which is a big hit, I love them! The flooring guys came next and installed new faux wood style flooring in the living room, it actually looks
like real wood. They also installed new vinyl flooring in the kitchen and mudroom. Such a great job!! Finally the painting and trim work completed the project on 10-24-2012. (Just in time for our hoped for Halloween deadline to finish)
My overall experience of this project from beginning to end has been extremely positive! Architectural Options is a company that will give you the most bang for your buck, Kevin is basically one-stop-shopping. You don't have to find a carpenter, plumber, sider, roofer, drywaller, floorer, mason, etc. You mainly deal with Kevin, and that's it. He has extensive resources of craftsmen available at his fingertips, they know the quality Kevin demands and they perform and produce quality work at all times. What was really intresting about all this is how meticulous all the workers were, they made sure all the work was completed properly. And the workers Kevin brings in are very courteous and respect working with Kevin. We absolutely love the finished product, it's like a new house to us.
I highly recommend Architectural Options for your next remodeling project, you won't be sorry!!!!

    McShane Construct-All Enterprises
It was supposed to be finished in October 2011 but it was almost finished when it was turned over to us near the end of March, 2012.  The company did manage to build a bunch of condos near Chart Road DURING our construction.  We carefully watched the construction and caught a lot of errors that were fixed when we complained.  Since we live 48 minutes away, sometimes we did not find the errors in time.  For example, they forgot to put a drain the in breezeway- that kind of error.  Something was usually substituted for the error or it was re-done.  In this case, they removed the concrete floor of the breezeway and installed the drain.  The bottom line is I love the house.

    Dan Guardo Contracting Inc
They were here when they said they would be.  All of the workers were VERY professional.  It got pretty hot while they were working and not one shirt came off. A+ for that. They worked together well.  I like to watch what is happening at my house so I was at home for most of the work and I have had other workers to compare them to and there just isn't any comparison.  He (Dan) hires quality workers that know their job.  And Dan is right there in the middle working right along side of them.  The job is beautiful.  There was one spot that needed some attention and Dan came out and fixed it.
