    They staged everything from start to finish.   I didn't even have to be at the sale -  I did not have to do a thing.  They made it so easy for me.  I was so appreciative since I live in North Buffalo and the estate sale was in Orchard Park.  They were extremely knowledgeable about market values and what they thought would sell.  I made much more money than expected.  I give them my highest recommendation.

    Steve & Kelly were personable, courteous, honest, professional and put us at ease from the first time we spoke on the phone. I made arrangements for them to come through and go through some old items at the house. The day they were supposed to come Steve mixed up the dates. He was extremely apologetic and we agreed to meet the same day but a few hours later. He came in and explained how he operates. He took the time to explain step-by-step what to expect. He invited us to come visit his auction house as well as attend the actual auction in which he would be selling our belongings. We received a written list of everything he would be selling and they were the exact same descriptions in the auction program so there was no question as to what was ours. Once the auction was complete, we received our check promptly with a complete breakdown including their commission. I am now going through Steve & Kelly for an estate sale. I would highly reccommend their services. I enjoy them as individuals as well as business owners.Kudos!!

    It's hard to imagine a more irresponsible person to liquidate possessions. Andy Gay, sole proprietor, does not present or have any printed information whatsoever; he offers minimal information. Even though left with clear written instructions, he and his two female helpers disregarded explicit wishes. Rather that detail all his transgressions, I'll list the more egregious offenses below: --Left storm door propped open with keys in front door clearly visible from the street (Andy had left the premises). --Left sliding glass door to deck and rear yard unlocked (again, he was gone). --Marked 2 year old washer and dryer "NOT FOR SALE". Consequently,  I had to pay to have the set carted away because I was working on a strict time line with the buyer of the home. --First day and hour of the sale left two car garage unattended with door open. Garage contained virtually every conceivable tool or device to service a large gardening area. Friend went to purchase two 16" potted plants. No one was around. She put them in her car and drove off. --Failed to empty contents of two kitchen cabinets for sale --Despite written instruction from homeowner sold area rugs. --Had female workers toss contents of chest of drawers and triple dresser into plastic containers after being expressly told not to, because friends would attend to emptying personal items later that same day. --Ditto with table tops and desks. All papers and related items thrown into plastic containers. It took weeks to separate. --Before the sale, items were missing.Two days earlier, Andy was asked where I could find them. To his credit, he acknowledged their existence but said he did not know where they were. --Andy allowed his large white shaggy dog in and out of the house despite uninterrupted rain for two days. As might be expected, dog relieved himself in one of the bedrooms and tracked mud into the house, not to mention shedding on carpeting. --Hard to understand the rationale behind his pricing. He marked 5 to & 7 dollar items 10X their cost (a year earlier) but priced very high end office furniture in pristine condition for way way below value (I've seen what other vendors mark merchandise for). Interestingly, he marked the Town's trash tote for $85. Of course, trash totes provided  and owned by the town are not for resale. Andy and crew left toilets unflushed. Also, a 42 gallon garbage bag filled with liquid containers, and much organic waste leaked onto floor and grouting. Apparently, coffee was left in container. Hard to imagine how such a large bag was filled with so much organic and paper trash. Actually, the list could go on, but I'm running out of space and the reader is probably weary. A discerning reader might inquire as to why I hired him initially. He was recommended by a realtor for whom I had great respect. As soon as I met him, I felt concern but because i was working on a tight schedule to vacate, there wasn't time for me to engage a more reputable firm. A caution to anyone contemplating an estate sale: there is no oversight on these operators whatsoever. Consignment shops and estate sale vendors need only seek a business certificate (DBA) and no accountability follows  even if the operators change their address or fail to pay the rightful amount due to owner. --.

    ROOM TO SPARE STORAGE
    First time E-Bay experience. After successful auction, inquired about payment. Told payment would be sent 10 days after cc payment by purchaser had cleared, purchaser paid today. No where in this contract does it state a 10 day waiting period. Upon going to store to show owner my contract, I was sworn at, had my handbag tossed out the door, and called "stupid". This was my first time meeting Wendy Merkle. Husband called this afternoon, but you cannot get through w/o unblocking your caller ID, which we did and the call went unanswered. Shortly after we received a five paragraph e-mail. I responded to the e-mail stating how offended I was at the behavior displayed to me. Five hours later, I received an e-mail stating my e-mails have been blocked by her. Not only does this business owner have $3400.00 worth of my merchandise of which she has been paid, but has verbally abused me, refused to answer our calls and now blocked e-mail, how is that for "agent" services?

    I won/purchased two items at a Lodge Auction House auction held in Lewiston, NY on June 21, 2014. The auction listing stated that all items had been "authenticated and appraised". The first item was a WWI Navy recruitment poster. When the item came up for bids, I specifically asked the auctioneer/owner, Mr. Steve Phillips, if it was original. He emphatically said "yes". The item turned out to be a 1960's reproduction of the earlier poster. The second item, and, by far, the more expensive was an art glass vase listed in writing as being made by Dale Chihuly, a highly regarded glass artist. When we returned home with the vase, we examined the signature and it was obvious that the initials HNB were definitely NOT those of the artist. I contacted the west coast Chihuly headquarters and they confirmed that the signature and the design of the piece were not that of Chihuly. In addition, there was a second vase purchased by another party that was similar in design to the one I purchased. Therefore, there was another party who fell victim to this scam. When this was brought to the attention of the auction house, Mr. Phillips refused to stand behind their written assertions that all pieces, including these, were authentic. Mr. Phillips said that my purchase was on a "where is, as is" basis.  The case will most likely be settled in court.

    T &K Auto Sales & Service
    I was not happy with T &K Auto Sales & Service.  I brought it in and they did 200$ of work that was unexpected.  Then afterwards problems kept on popping up and I had to bring it in again.  I felt that they were not being honest with the price of the parts.   I don't trust them and I will not go back to them.
