Siding reviews in Yorktown Heights

State of The Art Home Improvement
It went well. The addition was a big job. It went smoothly. It also including siding the existing house and roof. I had a front porch redone and windows changed.. Paul was fair in his pricing. If any changes needed to be made due to the existing structure he approached us and showed us what the issue was and told us in detail what our options were to fix it. He does come back if you have a problem, which to me is very important. I am a repeat customer. I have had a walkway done, fencing fixed. He has done small jobs as well.

Very happy with work that was completed. Mr Pisano was professional and patient. Was flexible and open when we requested changes in design plans.I have since referred him to friends and they were happy with the work provided.

    Dunrite Construction
Working with him started very positive and responsive. As the project went on he became more of the opposite. I wish I read the reviews rather than just going on the feeling that he's a "good" guy with the smooth appealing talk. He told us that he knows the people in town to get permits and get things done quickly, which apparently is one guy he knew and any other would be an issue. So permits took forever which he said he could move along, weeks would go by with no response and no work being done. I would show up and his guys (which the guys by themselves were great) were waiting for material constantly. A 3 month job took over 9 months, if that's the time you have for the 'great" price and he claims to be "making nothing" on this job is a false view he wants you to believe. I waited about a year since completion of the work they did and now know it was a good price at a cost; because the windows that he recommended are all drafty and inefficient, paint on the exterior of the house is already pealing, the kitchen which was redone completely is 10 degrees colder than the rest of the house because he didn't replace the 50 year insulation is the roof area, and the refrigerator line was done incorrectly with the wrong hose and it busted (nearly buckled my wood floors). Really if you want someone to trust to do quality work that you don't need to babysit do yourself the favor and look elsewhere. Oh and the cabinets that sells would be great but he can't keep employees at the store so the designer that we worked with to get what we wanted no longer works there, we worked with someone else to have the same thing happen just a few months later. Not sure what that is about but its very difficult to explain what we want to 3 different people because the whole place quits and a new batch of women are there to explain what we want in our kitchen. If you do decide to go with Dunrite Construction be sure to protect yourself with a deadline date and a reduction of cost for every week he goes beyond the date, thats the hard lesson I learned from dealing with this individual.

    T. Bowen Home Improvement
A 3 week project took 11. A contracted start date of 6.13.16 got pushed back several times and work eventually started on 7.18.16. Was giving a 4-6 week estimate of completion. On average we have had 2 people working on the house at once for maybe 3-4 hours a day. This company is unable to provide a full crew which is why it took 2 weeks just to demo the original siding. They arrived unprepared and have rang my doorbell to borrow plyers, and a vacuum (my expensive Dyson!). They have had many days where no one shows up and I've received texts about 2 funerals and 2 truck breakdowns in the span of 6 weeks. The speed is one problem but the quality of the work is the main issue. The trim wrapping is dented and bubbling and it seems that they don't have a good solution to fix it. There are very obvious seems in the trim which they were not planning on caulking but if they don't - it looks very unfinished. The mess they leave the exterior of my home and inside of my garage is unacceptable. My dog has punctured a paw on a nail and we also got 2 flat tires in our own driveway. There are large open garbage bags, power tools left plugged in over night and several ladders leaned up against my house for days at a time. The owner, Todd, cursed out a vendor over the phone right in front of me - using very profane language. After he was off the call, he asked me if my kids were home. Thank G-d they weren't but take that call to your truck next time. The edges of the trim are all jagged - it looks like they are rushing by the quality of the work but they get nothing accomplished on a daily basis. They have lied to me several times, I don't trust them and don't feel confident that they know what they are doing when it comes to exterior work.

The workers showed up on time, were clean, and meticulous. They were very courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend them as they went above and beyond. If something was needed that was not available, they would get it for me. We are very happy with the process and results.

    The Vinyl King
Chris was very informative, professional and supervised the work every
step of the way.  He was always available to answer any questions and
address my concerns.  The workers arrived on time, worked fast and were very efficient.
They cleaned my gutters after and left my yard just as they found it.  I
would use this company again and highly recommend them.

    The Vinyl King
Run, don't walk to Vinyl King! We had a great experience with Vinyl King and their project manager Charlie Vega.  Having just had other work done on my home with another contractor, the comparison was like night and day.  Charlie was unbelievable in terms of his professionalism and responsiveness.  The work was fantastic and they did everything he said they would do and in the time he said it would take.  The workers were polite and true craftsmen.  Each day my property was left clean and orderly.
It all started with the bid. I've received many bids over the last year and more often than not, I received an email with a few lines of information and the price.  Charlie not only sent me a comprehensive email, but mailed an information packet with the proposal, information about the company, insurance documents and referrals.  A real professional.
Charlie explained the timing on the job, and the overall process.  He visited the job regularly and ensured we were happy with how things were progressing.  When we provided feedback or requested changes, he did them in a timely fashion.
We are extremely please with the work and certainly would use them again.  Windows, Siding, Roofing?  I strongly recommend Vinyl King and Charlie Vega.

    Hire Her Home Improvement Inc.
It's too early to tell if this will work but I feel confident that Angie and her team did their best  to prevent this nightmare from continuing. Had another contractor come three times last year.  His services were very poor. Shower kept freezing. He never once considered spraying foam as an alternative to doing a complete remodel of my master bath.
Angie is also very good in returning calls and responding to e:mails.  I consider her to be a very honest and caring individual.

    American Home Remodeling Inc
This job was well organized from the start.  I knew what to expect as there was communication from the owner so the dumpster showed up shortly before the work crew arrived.  The work crew started right away, worked very quickly and were very professional.  They cleaned up and the end of each day.  The job was completed a little sooner than expected and it looks really good.  The dumpster was removed shortly after the job was finished so we were back to normal (but with a new looking house) in a very short time.  One of the things I worry about when I hire a contractor is the dragging out of the job, problems that arise and delay things, or a crew that does not show up or do quality work.  None of this was an issue with American Home Remodeling.  They did exactly what they proposed to do, did so professionally, were done quickly and cleaned up after themselves nicely.  We were very pleased with the company and the work and would gladly recommend them.

    The Vinyl King
The job went smoothly from start to finish. The workers arrived early each day and never left before 6:00. They were neat, quiet and courteous. They removed the debris every night, and we never had a dumpster on our driveway. Charlie Vega, the project manager, was at our home almost daily. He was easy to reach and no detail was too small for him to address. The job, with the exception of the deck, took about a week to complete, as promised. We have received so many compliments on our house since it has been finished and have recommended The Vinyl King and Charlie Vega to at least three people. I hope they call him. They won't be sorry.
