While it took double the amount of time (6 months instead of 3 months) to get the work done, part of the times it was just waiting for Buildings Department's bureaucracy to work. The 3 months promised time would have been extremely brief to do such major work, so 6 months wasn't so bad. Vitaliy is very responsive and pleasant to interact with. He always had his crew on the job everyday unless the work was just waiting for inspection from Buildings Department. Whenever we wanted something changed or fixed, he readily did them and did a good job fixing whatever we asked for. We especially appreciate his owning of work that needs tweaking or fixing. We went over budget by 5%, which is so much better than the typical 10% over budget for such work. We've been recommending him to many others!

Vitaliy is the GC and owner. He was extremely friendly and responsive. At least one worker was at our house every day to work on the project, some days up to 6 workers doing various aspects of the expansion. When we were waiting for inspection from the Buildings Department, we then wouldn't have a worker, as is understandable... Toward the very end of the project Vitaliy was less responsive, but still came back to complete the little things left here and there. We are still awaiting the Final Certificate of Occupancy, but that has to do with the Buildings Department, and not Vitaliy's fault. Overall, I'd give an "A-" for this whole project that was over-optimistic in promising to finish in three months. It finished in six months - some of the weeks of delay were due to waiting for Buildings Department's responses. Six months to complete such a major project is very reasonable! Vitaliy had under-bid the cost of the project and panicked a bit at the end. However, we only went over by 15% of the original quote, which is a pretty good deal!

About 8 months after replacing roof, her leaks started up again (with snow/ice).  He told her the only way to fix was for an additional $3,000, as patching leaks wasn't part of the total roof replacement.  After that conversation, he didn't answer phone or return calls.
Now my sister is told she needs another new roof if she wants the leaks to stop, and Mr. Bonis doesn't stand by his work.

Project went very poorly. The contractor was disorganized, always late on delivery, did not supervise his trades (we had to provide that function ourselves). Absolutely no sense of responsibility. He consistently overcharged on the additional work we had to do along the way (some of this work was necessary, such as asbestos removal), in one instance we had competing quotes for 1/3rd of his price. Sometimes he brought random and unqualified labor into the house.
The project deadline on the contract was the 26 of Aug.. We passed our inspection only on the 25th of Nov. and still there is  a list of things to finish. Even the contact states 1 year warranty on the finished job, he never finished nor has any intention to provide any warranty. He just disappeared.
In the process of his renovation he damaged our roof (by walking on it and hanging stuff from the snow-guard), mis-installed doors and windows (no leveling), damaged our new finished floors, etc. Just unacceptable.
He also has a temperament problem and get upset in an uncontrollable fashion. Makes hard to have a constructive conversation with him. At the end, he quit our project before completion. We are now in legal waters.

Was thorough and professional but we didn't need as much change as he suggested although they were great ideas. So for the price he was going to do a lot for it but we didn't go in that direction.

After waiting 2 weeks for the dumpster to come  the foreman and one man started with the ripout the end of January work started and then the foreman left his man to work alone.  The next couple of weeks we did have snow but we also ha nobody working. The kitchen  was a gut and the contractor droped by for the third time as our concerns about the job were mounting after 7 weeks. The Andersen windows and patio doows r had to be ordered on a days notice so we could piggy back a large order,The wrong door was ordered in the rush. Oh by the way that is my problem I'm stuck with a $3200 door  you can't fit thru. The door and windows  were installed not plumb and not the way Andersen says to install.  We need a check they cried and a check for what they asked was given even though the work to that point had not been completed.  The subs plumbing and electric are another story Landmark has them on the hook.  They come and do the job when they can fit it inand you get the C and D team workers. The 15 th of April we met our contractor John for the 5th time after 50 Emails and text to Jessica his right hand girl about what wrong with the job and 4 weeks with 5 hours of work. we terminated our contract . We now have a kitchen shell and I am subing the completion myself with local tradesmen. Landmark has done some good work in the past  but is on a big downward spiral. The job before ours had many problem  but that is for them to review

    AF & Sons

    The quality of the work was awful pure and simple. AF's work did not meet code, needed to be ripped out and be completely re-done by the second contractor that we hired after terminating our project with AF. AF's staff simply didn't know what they're doing. Multiple construction professionals called AF's work and quot;amateur hour.and quot;
AF was totally unresponsive and very, very slow. After doing the demolition, they did not send anyone to the house to do work for 5-weeks despite our daily phone calls, emails and texts. No one. We finally terminated our project with them despite the fact that we had paid AF a lot of money for work that had not been completed.
After winning the project, the management of AF immediately was very unprofessional and difficult to deal with. The GC (Greg Filippone) that sold the project was never on-site and impossible to reach.
Listen, I rarely write reviews but this experience was so terrible and cost us so much time and money that I felt that I had to warn other homeowners about AF. I cannot urge anyone enough -- stay away from AF and Sons!

    Woodstone Contracting inc.
We hired Woodstone Contracting Inc. (Anthony Quattrone) in the autumn of 2011 to do the job described above.  The job started off OK but very soon Anthony?s performance deteriorated sharply.  He is not to be recommended, for reasons that include the following:
The job Anthony did was not in accordance with the specifications of the job.  He changed the job specs without telling us (never mind ASKING us) about the change, including using materials and methods that saved him time and money.
The quality of work was mediocre at best.  Details were left unfinished.  (I would say that Anthony is particularly weak on interior work.) And about a year later, parts of what he did were already coming apart.
Anthony was very disorganized.  He lost paperwork.  He seemed to have problems properly organizing crew and materials.  He had great difficulty navigating the building-permit process, and he blamed it all on the building inspector.
Anthony was a very poor communicator.  He did not keep us informed about the job, he did not return phone calls or answer emails in a timely fashion (in some cases weeks would pass before he responded; sometimes he just didn?t respond at all),
and he did not communicate well with his crew (the workers came to us to get instructions on what they were supposed to do).
Anthony was often late for appointments (more than an hour in some cases) and once did not show up at all.
Anthony?s crew did not clean up regularly.  Worst of all, just before Christmas I asked Anthony to make sure that the debris was cleared off the front walk and front porch so there wasn?t construction rubbish in front of our front door on Christmas.  In fact, there was a high pile of stuff right beside our door throughout the Christmas holiday.
Anthony told us the job would be finished in ?one good, long week.?  After four days of work, the crew disappeared.  They reappeared several weeks later and worked for five partial days around Christmas and then disappeared again, this time for almost eight months!  The work was finally finished in late August 2012, but Anthony didn?t complete the paper work and deliver the Certificate of Occupancy to us until March 2013.  So, in all, the ?one good, long week? was in fact some 65 weeks.  And at every step of the process, we had to chase Anthony to get him to finish the job.
Anthony gave us a fixed-price contract.  At the end of the job he charged more than the contracted amount and then demanded even more!
Bottom line:  Bring to mind the worst experience you ever had with a contractor, multiple that by ten, and you?ll have an idea of what it?s like to have Anthony as your contractor.  Needless to say, I will never hire him again and would not recommend him to anyone.

Gave me a quote for a dormer addition. Was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable.  Also provided architect recommendation. Seemed experienced.  They stood out of the crowd since sadly, many of my calls weren't even returned by others!

    United Showroom Construction
As a Birthday gift, I promised my wife a brand new kitchen. After contacting multiple  contractors and  receiving  ridiculous quotes from all I started to lose hope thinking that my promise was going to be broken.  A friend of the family recommended for me to contact the company United Showroom Construction after have great success with his kitchen and bathroom renovation.  The same day I made  the call and spoke with leon the companies consultant to set up a home visit for an estimate.  A few days later  the  day had came and i thought to my self here we go again
