All the jobs above were done very quickly and done to perfection. They left the working areas very clean and got rid of any old material that was changed and replaced for all jobs performed. The whole crew led by Panagiotis conducted very professional & knowledgeable and would highly recommend.

    DM Contracting & Restoration Inc
Danny's crew did a great job. They listened to my concerns and really made sure they did a good job. They did not take advantage of the fact that we needed to make small changes mid way and they even finished early and used the remaining time on the job to work on some other much needed tasks. I really appreciate it and will call them when I am ready for the next task.

    Allauca Construction Corp
Excellent - it came out beautifully. Rooms were cleaned and vacuumed after each day's work. They prepped each day/ reviewed the following days work to be accomplished and concurred with us each day to make sure we were in agreement. Would not hesitate to highly recommend them to anyone reading this review. For any future jobs - they would be the company I would call. Allauca Brithers and their helper were terrific

    Allied Construction & Remodeling LLC
We hired Allied because of the person sent to our house to give us an estimate, Christian. He appeared to know what he was talking about, was friendly and respectful and appeared to understand everything I wanted to do to the house. I was told that Christian was the one doing the work so I felt confident enough to hire the company to do the basement which I had already demoed, the upstairs kitchen and bathroom. It was our first time hiring a contractor and everything was new to us. We looked over the contract carefully but also did not really know what to look for. We also knew Christian had taken notes so we did not think there would be many misunderstandings. As soon as the work started, things changed, it was clear that is was going to be a quick money grab without care much care to what we wanted. They did make some sacrifices with things that I clearly explained at the estimate but I did not realize were left out of the contract. We fell into a factory mode and Christian was working at other jobs for several days. We inquired about him but were always told he can't come today, till one day we did not allow the workers to continue unless Christian was there. Him being there to do the work or supervise was the reason we hired them in the first place. While they are guard that it was not in the contract for him to be there, they did eventually agree to it. There was a elevated space in one room on which I wanted to build a platform for a bed which I had also explained in the walk through but they argued it's not in the contract so I bit my lip and gave that up. Now the deal breakers: They accumulated trash in the back yard as expected, but while we were away for 2 days we see a bunch of trash in the front of the house on the cameras, so I check to footage and discover that they brought trash from another job another house somewhere in a van and dumped it in front of my house, I guess to consolidate trash pickup. When I got back I find out that this trash if full of water bugs. It was discussing. I told them that it needs to be picked up that day, they agreed but no one came to pick it up, the next day, I called and they told me they can't get anyone to come pick it up that day either. So I want on Craigslist and posted the job and someone came within 2 hours which Allied then agreed to pay for. We felt disrespected and angry but we just wanted to house finished so we moved on. The Final Straw: The floor in the basement is not supper even, I told them that I wanted to put engineered boards down to which they agreed. I then was advised by Christian that Allure tiles which is a kind of soft plastic moisture resistant floor would be a better fit so I agreed. Then I was told, to do the Allure floors, I would have to buy about 80 bags of self leveling concrete that was not in the contract so I would have to pay for it. When I complained about it, I was told by the owner of the company that when ever I get a contract, I should expect to spend another 10-15 % in additional costs. I thought that was ******** and asked them to go with the original plan of engineered boards. They put in the boards and did a horrible job. The floor had waves were the boards where lifting off the floor in several places, I don't mean bobbles where the floor is uneven but waves like there is too much floor. When you walk on it, the waves would move. We asked them to fix it, they refused, saying that it's due to the uneven floors and that the contract says that they will place a floor on to of the "existing slab", we did not have the expertise to know what that means. If they would have said the floor will be deformed and move when you walk on it, we would and be able to make an informed decision about it. We ended our contract with them and did not allow them to continue the kitchen upstairs and the bathroom. One year later, the floor has popped in several places, were the boards just pop out from walking on it and can not be put back in unless cut. I tried to fix the first pop but now see that the floor will have to be completely redone. The sink in the bathroom and in the kitchen both started leaking after a few weeks. While they did a nice job framing and putting up dry walls, there are little grout mountains in the corroborate of the tiles and heavy grout stains on the wall tiles in the bathroom. My rating for price is due to the fact that they thought it would take more money to complete but left it out of the contract to get the job. My rating on professionalism is not a relegation of their attitude, Christian was always very nice but they decision to dump trash from another property on ours without asking and full of water bugs.

    Major Homes Corp
Our roof needed to be replaced so we called the top listed contractors on Angie's List to submit bids. While all of them were professional (as you would expect from the top of the list!), Major Homes really stood out. Their office staff was very helpful over the phone and Jason was on-time for his visit to do the estimate where he went into quite a detailed analysis and explanation of our situation. The general outline of the condition of our roof and our options to replace it were corroborated by the other bids we received, but Jason went into much more detail than the others in explaining the different options we had in terms of work materials and methods.
Their price was very competitive, too. I mention this because I saw some reviews on Angie's List say that Major Homes was a bit "pricey". I dont know about their work on other houses, but I can tell you that their bid on our roof was right in the middle of the estimates we received. We made the decision to go with Major Homes and they were very easy to work with in terms of scheduling and keeping us up to date. Again, the people handling the phones in their office were great to talk to, I never had the feeling that messages were getting lost.
Our roof was a BIG job and it took them two days. They broght in all of  their own people to do the work, they don't round up day workers for the job. This policy is much more secure as it means all of the people on our property are directly tied to Major Homes. And in the end our new roof looks great and it passed the test of the recent rain storms. In the end though, I think a good measure of a contractor is how well they cleanup afterwards. Some debris fell into our neighbor's yard (Jason had warned us of that as our houses are really close together). After Major Homes left we asked our neighbors if they were okay with the clean up and they said they were REALLY impressed at how thorough the team was in cleaning up their yard, and how polite they were about it, too. I cant say enough how important that is.
We are will be renovating our kitchen in 2016 and asked Jason to send his team by to start estimating and designing options for us and they were really helpful. Given Major Homes punctuality, professionalism and quality of work on the roof project, I dont see us even bothering with any other contractors when it will be time to do our kitchen.

    Exquisite Construction corp
The job went well. This is the second major project with this company. At first we thought it was pricy but we learned that you get what yo pay for. We did another project prior to using Al and it was major mistake. Al had to fix the first project. The previous owner had cut structure beams to make the bathroom, Al fixed it at no additional cost. He did a lot of extras at no additional cost. The BR is simply gorgeous. The attention to detail is what you are paying for and sad to say many of these companies just do not have it.
