  • Very well. The roof looks great and performed great until about a year later. A small leak appeared at the skylight. He came and not only resealed between the skylight and the shingles, he also put new sealant on the skylight itself, though he had no obligation to do that. It's been perfect ever since.

  • I hired Picture Perfect to work on two bathrooms in my mother's home. I'm located out of state, so it was important to find someone I could trust to do good work and also ensure my mother was pleased throughout the entire process. My wife and I often rely on AngiesList reviews when choosing a contractor, so I hope this review and recommendation will be helpful to others. 
    The first project was a remodel of a small bathroom that included repair of a water damaged floor, replacing a sink/faucet/mirror, and some tile work. Everything went well, so afterward we scheduled work on the 2nd bathroom which was a much more extensive project.
    The 2nd bathroom was a new bathroom. Rob did everything from plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, installing sink/tub/toilet, tile and painting. Throughout the process Rob did a good job of communicating with me and sending invoices as stages of work were completed. He even sent photos to me so I could see the results. He also worked well with my mother to ensure she was happy throughout the process and pleased with the final results.
    Rob also helped with several other small things that were needed around the house.  Rob is a very hard-working, skillful, and has a great attention to detail. I'm lucky to have found him (thanks to AngiesList) and glad I hired him. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of this kind of work.

  • We purchased material from Lowe's for fencing.  They have their own contractors do the labor.  It has been having issues ever since the beginning. The posts are split and the gate won't open or close correctly.

  • Everything he said he would do he did.  When the job would start ,How quick it would be done.  That he would put a large crew on just to make sure everything would be done in one day because of the possibility  of  in-climate weather.  .He was punctual as to the time he was  coming to size up the job and give me a price. He explained in detail why he was going to be higher for the job then a previous roofers price as he was going to add additional things such as a way to stop ice buildup He accepted VISA which is important to me as it gives me travel points (and now that I am disabled the only way to earn vacations) as well as an additional 20 days before I had to come up with the cash to pay it off..Not only would I hire him again I would recommend him for others. As a  previous owner of a business it was very important to me to keep my word and that as far as I was concerned while I had to make a profit but I never did it off the back of one customer . I believe he acts the same way.

  • Auchinachie replaced circuit card 2 times claimed it needed to be changed out again, said house was not grounded, cellar too cold and drafty.  Had an electrician come and house was grounded.  Payed to have grounding stake installed.  Still had furnace issues.  Auchinachine then tried to say it was a drafty cellar, but this was not a problem when they installed the furnace in 2006 after the flood and charged $10,000 to do it.  After several trips to the house, missed time from work and everything being blamed on the house, hired handyman and within 30 mins furnace working fine, no issues for past 3 months.  Spent far too much time and energy on Auchinachie.  Filed with Better Business Bureau and had last submission to them on 4/3/14 still waiting for response from Auchinachie.  Would NEVER recommend them, would actually tell people to avoid at all costs.  Ref BBB Claim Number 9935345

  • They were great. The woman on the phone was personable, friendly, and most helpful. Our source of heat comes from a wood furnace, and there was a blockage. She helped us as much as possible, and even showed up unexpectedly to try to help out. They came back punctually, did the work promptly, and gave us good information about what was needed to be done in the spring. We will definitely used them from now on.

  • It took four phon ecalls, before the call was returned. We set up an appointment for Monday. We were told to shut off the furnace (which is our heat source), so the work could be done. We shut down our furnace Sunday. We are a family of four. He never called, or showed up. Our house was ice cold, and we had to end up sleeping in the family room, with the fireplace the only heat source. The fireplace has its own chimney, and that chimney had no problem. We had used London Blackbirds before, without a problem, which is why we trusted them. Never again, though.

  • Larry is punctual and professional. He has been a licensed contractor for 40 years or so and is very knowledgeable. He works quickly, quietly and safely. My husband and I are both disabled and so need a lot of help around the house. Larry always cleans up after he is done with a job too, which not every contractor or handyman does. We have now asked him to look into removing our tub and installing a shower stall. He is going to look at our options, in terms of what size shower our bathroom can accommodate and get back to us next week. We can't say enough good things about his work!

  • It went well. Troy worked closely with me and even met me at Home Dopot so I could pick exactly what I wanted. When I ordered a 60 inch bathroom sink base, he pointed out that it would make the bathroom feel small and perhaps I would be better off with a smaller one. He was right.Troy has very good ideas. He is almost always there when he says he will be.

  • I called East End Refrigeration because I was fairly certain that the thermostat in my oven was broken. No matter what setting I put the oven temperature dial on, the oven read 400 degrees on my oven thermometer. All this happened a few days before Thanksgiving. East End sent his repairman out the next morning after I called. The repairman was on time and very professional. He completed the replacement of the thermostat very quickly and told me what to do in order to reset it (leave the oven at 350 degrees for one hour). He even called a few hours later to make sure that I was satisfied with his work. I highly recommend East End Refrigeration
