    Imperial Appliance Repair Inc
Dino was nice and pleasant. i told him i believed it was a simple fuse that needed changing which is very common and its a 5 dollar part. its a tight space but he said no problem and i asked him for a price if it was a fuse. It was a fuse which entails 2 wires 2 screws and a clip. he unplugged the machine changed it and told me to pmug it in to test. sparks started shooting out if the outlet and and he shorted the outlet out. i asked him what happened and he said woops he had the 2 wires touching one another. he taped the 2 wired with electrical tape and told me plug it in again but the outlet now had no power. i got an extension cord to test the dryer which now worked and he asked me for extra money after blowing the outlet which i said was crazy so he agreed to accept the 120 he told me on the phone and I needed an electrician to restore the outlet. i would never recommend this provider except to my enemies. it was a disaster. UPDATE: He called to repay me for the damage he caused. He was a gentleman and responsible and I respect that.

Excellent service. Danny called before coming over (as they said he would), arrived right on time, diagnosed the problem and did the repair. He then cleaned out the dryer thoroughly. I would definitely recommend him and use him again in the future. This is what service should be.

Sent: 6/13/2018 11:23:36 AM Eastern Standard Time Subject: STILL WAITING FOR CONTACT FROM YOU RE WASHING MACHINE REPAIR As per our phone conversation on 612/18, I am expecting to hear from you re installation of new circuit board for my Bosch washing machine. I have repeatedly attempted to phone you today; your message box is "full". Your repairmen initially checked the washing machine on 6/2/18 and told me - without examining the washing machine - that the machine needed a new pump. The repairman stated he was sure about this based upon his experience. As requested, I gave him a check (deposit) for $ 100; I was told that the total cost for the work was $ 245. I asked the repairman what if the pump was not the issue and he assured me that there would be no additional charges and that he would be able to fix the washing machine. On 6/5/18, the repairman returned with a pump which he installed. The pump did not solve the problem. The repairman stated that the pump was defective and that another pump had to be ordered. On 6/7/18, the repairman returned with another pump. He tested the washing machine which started wash cycle (which it had prior to the repair). He then left. The washing machine did not complete the spin/drain cycles (which were the original issues). The repairman returned on 6/8/18. He agreed that the washing machine was not operating properly. He then stated that the machine needed a new circuit board. I spoke to you and you told me that the new circuit board would be available on 6/12 and would be installed on 6/12. I phoned you on 6/12 and you told me that the circuit board had not been received by you; you proceeded to tell me that you expected to receive the circuit board on 6/13 and that you would phone me on 6/13 - in the morning - to make plans for installation. Again, you did not phone me and I cannot reach you. Have you contacted the company that you ordered the circuit board from? Do you usually respond - as you promise - to customers? I am very dissatisfied with the service that you have, thus far, provided. I have paid $ 100 Iand I still have a washing machine that is not operating. I am expecting a response from you. Please contact me at 718-352-4455 or 347-551-3847. Finally, on 6/13 late afternoon, I reached the same person with whom I had spoken before. He told me that the circuit board was now available and that the repairman would arrive at my home between 4 PM - 6 PM. No one came to my home; no one answered the phone. On 6/14, I again phoned. I spoke to the same person who offered no apology and who told me that he would return the $ 100 that I paid. I offered to pick up the money; he refused. He assured me that he would deliver the money that I paid as he was not going to complete the job. He made 2 appointments to do so and failed to keep the appointments. In addition to the above contacts, it should be noted that I have also made numerous additional phone contacts to this this appliance repair company - often the message box was full; when I did leave a message, no one returned my call. In summary, the repairmen from this company are incompetent, inconsiderable, and unreliable. I spent $ 100 - for nothing. I wasted considerable time waiting for repairmen who did not come or when they did come, were unable to resolve the issue. As a postscript to this message, I had another repairman from another company come to repair the washing machine on 6/15, The washing machine was repaired within one hour.

    Steve's Appliance Repair
Steve arrived on time and was very pleasant and professional. He diagnosed the problem as a bad evaporator fan motor. He had the part in his van and replaced it. He turned the refrigerator back on and it ran quietly! I would highly recommend him and would not hesitate to call him again if another appliance needed repair!

Extremely well. The repairman figured out a problem we were having with our refrigerator, and he was very honest with us, and also took time to explain it. When he first got here, it took a while for the sound to come back, and he didn't want to do unnecessary work, and so, we all waited a little while, until the sound came back. Before the sound came back, he had told us what he thought the problem was, but he wanted to be sure, so that he wasn't doing any unnecessary repair work. The sound came back, and it was what he had thought, and he knew how to fix it. He was very honest, efficient, knowledgeable and responsible. We would definitely call them again. Really great experience.

    Steve's Appliance Repair
I called Steve very early Monday morning...before 8 a.m.  He called me back right away.  Steve was professional and prompt.
Once he arrived he quickly assessed the situation and told me that the defrost timer (i think that's what it was) was no longer working...causing the heating unit (yes there is a heating unit in your freezer) to not fully defrost so it began to freeze therefore no air current was getting to the refrigerator - hence it not working...he melted the ice build up, replaced the timer and off he went.
Steve was very nice, explained the issue and fixed only what needed to be fixed.
I would recommend Steve without hesitation.

    Steve's Appliance Repair
Provider made an initial visit to diagnose the issue with my drier, then returned at a later date to perform the necessary repairs.
He was prompt & professional each visit, & did not try to sell me any unnecessary parts or services. He even made a follow-up call a day or so later to see if the drier was working properly & to check if I was satisfied with his work. Needless to say, I am quite satisfied & will be calling him again shortly for an issue with my stove.

    Steve's Appliance Repair
A couple of weeks ago, our dryer stopped heating up. Although it never had a problem until now, it's 20 years old! We thought that maybe it was time to replace it. . . Until we started shopping for a new dryer and got sticker shock!
So I found Steve on Angies's list. He had excellent reviews, and had done a lot of work locally. We played phone tag a few times while i tried to figure out when I could be home. He followed up with me, and made a real effort to meet my schedule.
Steve arrived with tools, evaluated the problem quickly and professionally, gave me a price on the spot, and was able to make the repair immediately. Once he showed me the problem, it was obvious. The igniter was in pieces, and the holder and leads were burned black. The repair required two different small parts, one of which is hard to get, and he had both in his van. He had a painfully cramped space to work in, and the light was not good, but he was patient, and careful, and had a good sense of humor. He also put the dryer on a firmer footing with a spare piece of 2x4, and gave me good advice about another problem I was having with the house, based on his experience and years in the area, and I appreciate it.
The next time I have trouble with an appliance, Steve is the only person I will call.

I have used Steve in the past, he does a professional job, is very honest. He came, evaluated the situation, ordered the part, came back and fixed my refrigerator. He even called after it was fixed to follow-up. I couldnt ask for better service!

    Steve's Appliance Repair
I've had Steve repair a few things in my house over the years.  Other than having to listen to him complain about his life and express his appreciation for his repeat customers, everything usually went fine.  This time, however, things took a turn for the worst.
Steve showed up about an hour and a half late, which was not a big problem.  As he got to work disassembling the dryer, his usual ranting and raving started about how his job is getting the worst of him.  After a while, I left him to his work. Shortly after, I returned and asked how it was going and he explained that he was just about to check if the dryer was fixed.  It was! Great!
Now he just had to put the dryer back into place.  I do have to say that my dryer is in a tight position, propped up on a lift.  So it is not easy to move around.  Steve knew this.  He's fixed my washer and dryer before.  Again, I left him to finish his work.  Shortly after that, I heard a lot of loud banging coming from the laundry area.  I went to see what happened.  What I saw was Steve very aggressively complaining to me about where my dryer is positioned.  He was also fumbling with a piece of my dryer panel that he had broken off, frantically trying to screw it back on.  He walked out of the room saying "I'll go out to my truck and get something for that so it doesn't rattle."  I confronted him with the fact that he broke the panel off and he very rudely continued to complain about where my dryer was.  He came back from his truck and stuck silver tape on the panel.  This is what was supposed to help it not rattle when I used the dryer.  He told me he would take $20 off the original cost of $100 but I was not happy with that.   He lost his patience and broke my dryer!  In all honesty, I told him that I felt that I shouldn't pay him.  He angrily pulled the dryer back down and said that he was going to take the part he replaced out then.  My husband came home from work and I called him down to see what was going on.  Steve, then, offered to take another $10 off the cost of repair.  Not good enough!  After listening to his bad attitude and his lack of remorse for making a big mistake, he was paid $60 and I was left with a miserable experience and a new broken panel on my dryer.
