    Custom Pro Home Improvement LLC
other than building permit taking more time than expected, things went reasonably smoothly. As with any remodelling you find hidden issues which need to be fixed or upgraded along the way. His pricing a perhaps 5-10% more but he does not cut corners and is fair with ongoing changes. The most useful aspect is his producing computer renderings before the work is done so we can evaluate alternate approaches. He has a good eye on how to make things look right.

The project went extremely well and we highly recommend Hire Her Now and Always. Jason and his crew were all professional, talented, punctual and accommodating. We are only sorry we did not meet Angela and her dudes years ago.

    East Hill Cabinetry
East Hill Cabinetry was wonderful to work with. They made my kitchen remodeling project a lot less intimidating by walking me through my options. As a brand new homeowner I was not familiar with the many decisions that get factored into making cabinets and selecting a countertop. I was walked through and explained the different types of woods, styles and finishes for cabinets, encouraged to review photographs or share any that i know I like the look of. We looked at my current kitchen lay out and figured out what would make sense in the space we had to work with and with the limitations i had. I own a condo so some items I was not able to move around as I would be able to in a home.

They made excellent recommendations for other parts of my renovation that they don't handle themselves. I had nothing but great experiences all around.

    JR Laminators
The owner Jeff is a friendly engaging personality that clearly wants to satisfy his client.  We interviewed Jeff along with two other companies in the cabinet laminating business.  Jeff's proposal was far superior to the other two companies, one of which is a very large business with a sales staff.
Jeff was very knowledgeable of his competition and we listened closely as he spoke about the pros and cons of his company compared to the competition. We saw samples of his product and they were comparable to his more expensive competition. Along with Jeff's sales pitch we saw he had an A rating from previous clients.
So here is our experience.  Jeff wrote up a contract outlining the scope of work for the remodel and the costs.  We described how we wanted some of the custom work to be done such as a special cabinet for a large microwave and the bar counter top.  Jeff  volunteered his own ideas on how we could best get the look we wanted.  Jeff has a sub contractor named Alex who handled the counter tops.  We met him at a warehouse in New Jersey and viewed a huge selection of granite counter tops.  We were able to get counter tops that were quite unique and not like the counter tops you see on display at Home Depot.
Jeff had the laminate, doors, cabinet all shipped to our house just before he started work.  His crew was very skilled and highly efficient in getting work completed very quickly.  We inspected Jeff's work at the end of each day and the next day Jeff was onsite to make sure the job was meeting our expectations.  Jeff was very time conscious and when he said I will start work at 8am, your doorbell rang at 8am and they started to work right away.  Jeff's crew installed a new double oven we had purchased to replace our single oven.
In the end, we were very pleased with the final outcome of our remodel.  It was actually better than we imagined!

    WFC Construction Management Inc
Because this could be a book, here a few examples of our many, many interactions with WFC's Design Studio.
We met with Mr. Sabato "Sammy" DiPalma at the WFC Inc. ?showroom? in November 2014 to pick out tiles and finishes for the 3 bathrooms and the kitchen/entry-way floors. We picked out all of our selections, except Cabinets.
On December 27, 2014, we were told to come back to look at the 3D Kitchen design and look at Cabinets. When we arrived, he did not have any renderings, so he had us show him the same tiles and finishes as our earlier visit because our initial selection had not been recorded.
Over the next many months we asked about flooring tiles (we wanted a simple black and white diamond pattern on the entry floor and through the kitchen, and a quaker style kitchen cabinet in white). I also asked about a simple black granite counter top and subway tiles for the backsplash. We were told again and again that we needed to wait. But, in the case of the Cabinets, that samples were ordered, then back-ordered when we asked again, then they sent the wrong color when we asked again....
Then again, in April of 2015, we were asked to come to the ?showroom? because, although apparently, they couldn't work on the major renovation at our house, he remodeled his showroom (of which all the debris from his showroom when into the dumpster at our house), and all of his selections had changed, so we had to come in a re-select all of the bath tiles. But still no floor tile or granite or subway tiles. And, finally, six months later, we finally got to one sample of a kitchen door for our "custom" cabinets that were part of the contract.
In May 28th, 2015, Mr. DiPalma indicated that he needed us to select our kitchen/entry-way floor tiles, bringing 4 different tiles (actually, the same tile, just different colors) that we had never seen and insisting that we pick them out in less than 24 hours (which we did), because he had not ordered any of the tiles for our job yet. This was three weeks before the entire house project was to be complete. This was very disconcerting considering he had over 7 months to gather these materials, and we requested to see samples multiple times since the beginning of the project. He never presented us with granite options or backsplash tiles.
The entire project has been a nightmare. I advise anyone to stay as far away from WFC as possible.

    Hire Her Home Improvement Inc.
Angela and her crew absolutely transformed my kitchen, and living room.  Guests at my home simply cannot believe it's the same house.  From start to finish, the job was professional, every detail attended to, the projected end date was met, and the final product was perfect.
I've used Hire Her for my bathroom, and was so pleased with the work that I was inspired to re-model the kitchen and living room.  Once again, the collaboration on the part of the contractor, the plumber, the electrician was excellent - and the whole process was really a pleasure.

    Culin & Colella Inc
The kitchen design was outstanding, maximizing our space.  The cabinets are very well made with specific features installed to our specifications.  The woodwork and detail of the cabinets is top notch.  They also advised on the stain and type of wood that was most suited for our kitchen.  The design work, wood and stain selection as well as the build of the cabinets was complete in about 8 weeks, right on our schedule and on the time that they forecasted.  The installation of all cabinets was complete within three days and all appliances were fit exactly as planned.

    VAP Contracting LLC
Victor was very professional and friendly from the time we first met until the job was completed. His crew worked quickly, and completed the work in a total of 4 days. He answered all our questions before starting the work, and contacted us immediately when he had questions about the work. After the work was completed, we had a minor issue with the thickness of the back splash grouting along the edges, which he addressed right away. Overall, the work was very good. Our only complaint is that some of the edges of the backsplash tile were not cut as straight as we would have liked. We used a discount tile, which he said was a bit harder to work with. But, otherwise, we are very happy with our kitchen! Before starting the process, we looked into several other contractors, and found VAP pricing to be very competitive considering all that they agreed to do. We really recommend looking into VAP for your kitchen renovation, and will definitely use them in the future!

Hudson Valley Cabinet & Woodworking Inc
She didn't do any service to me, except for ideas and suggestions and did sketches in terms of what she was recommending sent the proposals and such stuff. She is good. I decided not to go with her. She was very nice. She really seems to know her stuff and she is very much like what you see is what you get. She seems to understand really well like I can offer different things, I can get the cabinets done whatever it was. She just seem to be very very good. I really had no issue with her. I just had gotten multiple quotes and multiple ideas and I went with somebody who I had worked with previously. I would definitely use her in the future. I also think about recommending her. For somebody who doesn't want to have headaches I think she would basically take the weight of your shoulders and she would deal with all the stuff.

    All Star Woodworking
Peter and his team did an amazing job from start to finish.  He takes tremendous pride in his work and is exacting in his demands for a perfect finished product.
He coordinated all aspects of the project with other contractors and kept the project moving despite our losing power for a week during Hurricane Sandy.
I would not hesitate to recommend Peter to anyone!
