    After having another appliance company cancel I found Petes Appliance Repair. I called and left a message with Pete's and was called back 10 minutes later. The appointment was scheduled for the next day and Pete arrived on time. Within an hour he had fixed the problem, explained what he was doing and what had occurred. Expensive fix, but better than buying new and the issue was resolved.

    He came out and was very nice. He didn't do price gouging or anything like that. It took under an hour to complete the service. Pete is the owner of the company and he came out to take care of it. His card said service with a smile and it's true to its word. Pete is prompt and very professional. His prices are reasonable and he is very, very nice. I didn't dislike anything. He came out same day, showed us the part, told us the cost for the part and included it in his total. The part cost was subtracted from the total cost. He even printed off a coupon from the Angie's List website.

    Very well: Pete embodies all of the qualities that one hopes to find in service provider: He responds to calls in real time, sets priorities based on customers' needs, manages their expectations realistically and is unfailing professional, accommodating and honest.  I first contacted him when the refrigerator I "inherited" with my new home unexpectedly shut down and - unlike the manufacturer's representative who offered to meet with me four days hence, scheduled an appointment several hours later and arrived exactly on time.  Once onsite, he quickly set to work, diagnosing the problem as a malfunctioning control panel.  Fortunately for me, Pete happened to have a panel from another Kenmore model in his truck, which he installed temporarily, thereby saving the contents of my overloaded refrigerator while he ordered a replacement panel.  As he discovered upon returning later in the week with the new panel in tow, however, the actual cause of my problems stemmed from the unit's computerized settings, which he then proceeded to correct.  A less honest technician might have simply installed the new control panel and charged the fee we'd agreed on during his initial visit, but Pete insisted upon billing me only for his time - and at a very reasonable rate.  Based on this experience, I can recommend him enthusiastically and without equivocation.  Needless to say,  I hope none of my other appliances malfunction, will call Pete if they do.

    My Samsung fridge was icing up in the bottom of the freezer. Lou seemed very knowledgeable and got right to the problem. I still had to defrost the fridge. It seemed to fix the problem. He told me over the phone that there was a $65 service call. He looked at the fridge spent 10 minutes cleaning the condenser and adjusting the drain tubes. Then handed me a bill for $228. I was a more than little shocked at the price. At no time did he tell me that there would be an additional fee or ask me if I wanted the work done. I do wish he was more up front with the cost. He did say it was guaranteed for a year. I had to select yes or no to the "Would you use this provider in the future?" question above. The truth is I am not sure. We will see if it fixes the problem long term or not. If I do, I will ask a lot more questions about cost and make sure that he does not do anything that costs extra without my consent.

    Made his diagnosis and said he could fix it for $140 which entailed him de-icing the coils and the whole fridge or he said I could do it myself for free. Just unplug the fridge, leave the door to the fridge and freezer open for over 24hrs and to call him if that didn't work. If it didn't work he would deduct the house call which was $50 off the price of the repair. It was my 2nd time using him and I love his honesty and reliability. Oh and a side note is he couldn't get in the house immediately and he waited patiently for me to remedy the situation so that he could get in and do his job. I HIGHLY recommend Pete!

    I received same day service.  The serviceman came within the time frame I was given.  Told us what the problem was.  Was able t fix it on the spot as well as vaccuum out the dryer.  The serviceman was courteous and completed his job in a timely manner.  The appiance was guaranteed for a year.

    I called on Monday morning and got a very friendly person on the line.  She explained the service charge upfront ($89) and said it would be included in any service performed.  There was an opening for that afternoon so we scheduled an appointment.  The technician arrived within the scheduled window (2-5pm) and was very professional.  He diagnosed the problem as a broken temperature gauge.  He fixed that and also cleaned out the lint and replaced the lint screen.  He was clear about the costs and got it all done within 40 minutes.  I am very happy that my dryer works again!  The only reason I gave the rating as B for price was because it was higher than I was expecting, but I admit I have no idea how much parts cost so it's really an "ugh, I didn't expect this to cost $300" thing rather than because I think I got ripped off or something!  Everyone I dealt with was very nice and professional and my dryer works, so no complaints!
