AEveryone from the e.r. Staff to ward staff were very caring and skilled. I felt like a VIP guest. I was extremely ill with sepsis and pancreatitis. I always felt I was in good hands. The nursing staff on 2 west was phenomenal for both my hospital stays. Each time I was later transfered to a larger medical center, Fletcher Allen in VT.

AWatertown Urgent Care is GREAT! They are a walk in clinic so no appointement is necessary. I have been there multiple times since my first visit in November 2011. I took my elderly father there for back pain. I took my elderly mother-in-law there after a fall in her kitchen. Took my own mother there for foot pain which ultimately was diagnosed as gout. I use them for all my routine blood work and lastly I just took my husband there last week for EXTREME back pain which is the scenario I will now describe. My husband (had a heart attack 3 years ago) is a pretty tough guy and does not complain of pain unless it is really bad. He woke up one morning two weeks ago with EXTREME back pain. He was in such pain that I feared it was his heart again so I Initially I took him to the local hospital emergency room where he was told "it will be awhile" so he walked out and we went to Watertown Urgent Care. He was taken in promptly and was seen by Mark Knowles, the Physician Assistant. They did X-Rays, blood work and took a urine sample and Mark suspected that my husband had passed a kidney stone. Results were sent to my husband's primary care physician who he saw the following week. Aside from the great treatment here, they have an on-site lab so there is no running around for X-Rays, blood work and other lab tests - they do it all right on site. I do all my lab work here and I can be in and out in a matter of minutes - literally. All records are maintained electronically too!
As I've said above, we have been to the Watertown Urgent Care Center again and again and based on past experience I will never go anywhere else if I can help it. The staff is WONDERFUL. The facility just as clean as a whistle and not only have I experienced their care personally, I have seen how they cared for my elderly parents and you could not ask for any better treatment than they received either - they were treated with kindness, dignity and respect and TONS of patience :)

CI was very disappointed with the balance testing, since it just showed that I did have problems--which I knew already. The therapist gave me some exercises to try at home, using a thick foam pad to balance on (he generously loaned me a pad). This did not help and caused new pain. He also had me try out several types of canes and crutches, to help ease shoulder pain that developed from using my cane. Also not helpful, since the other canes/crutches weren't as steady as the one I use. I was discouraged and did not continue with therapy at this facility.

ABrooks Memorial HospitalThey were pretty satisfactory; nothing really stood out. The maternity department was excellent. The staff was extremely helpful and supportive. They were very friendly.- Denise K.

APhysicians Regional Medical CenSurgery went well. Recovery was problematic due, I believe, to inadequate instructions on how to deal with certain post-operative conditions.- Frank R.
-
AAdirondack Medical CenterThey are very helpful people. The first time, they did a very wonderful job. But, the second time that was not very + awesome than before. Overall, I am grading them an A. I will use them again in the future.- John R.

ACleveland Clinic FloridaI am so happy to have discovered the Cleveland Clinic Florida. The care delivered by the Doctors and staff were excellent. They on several occasions provided same or next day appointments. hereThe staff is conscientious and caring, the atmosphere is calming and clean. The only downside are the waits to see the Doctors.. This is actually a good thing, because most physicians spend a lot of time with each patient. Very fortunate to have this facility in the area.- Bennett H.

BMedina Memorial HospitalI went in was very early in the morning I went in was taken back to a room I was seen by a nurse at 1st and within a half hour by the doctor he talked to me ran some test and later gave me some medication to take away the pain and the other to treat the underlying cause. It was not a perfect visit but better then ones I had before there.- Kevin S.

BClaxton-Hepburn Medical CenterIt was a fine experience. I got good care. The doctor was attentive. I didn't have to wait long for the diagnostic stuff. The triage process was smooth. I chose them because they are the only regional hospital that does this.- Elizabeth H.

CMedina Memorial HospitalThey sit around and talk to each other about their everyday lives rather than getting the patients taken care of. The ER is the worst. ICU is not to bad but there are some nurses that are not great on that floor and the 2nd floor is pretty bad also.- Melissa M.

DCANTON POTSDAM HOSPITALI waited in a seemingly empty waiting room for 2 hours, then was escorted to a room and waited about 45 minutes to talk to a nurse. Another 40 minutes for the X-ray technician to come get me for the X-ray. Luckily, I just ended up with some very deep bruises. I really dislike that the staff seems to be completely inconvenienced by patients coming in.- Jennifer C.

FSt James Mercy HospitalWhen I arrived in the Emergency Room at 8:30 PM and I was carrying a plastic bag to get sick in. The lady who checks patients in immediately asked me the normal questions, got me a wheelchair and sent someone to get me into a room. About 10 minutes after sitting in the room, a nurse came to put an IV in. I am an adult, but am still very apprehensive of needles. I told her this, she laughed, opened her IV bag up, and as she was sticking the IV in me, said I would be fine. After 3 attempts in different locations, the IV wasn't working and she had blown each vein they had attempted to out the IV in. I told her that I wanted to sign a paper so that I could leave, that this was worse than the vomiting. She scoffed at the idea, and left the room. At about 9:20 (45 minutes later) another nurse stopped in the room and let me know that they were dealing with to critical patients and were finished up and the doctor should be in shortly. Until 11:45 PM, the only person that I saw was a man who came into my room 4 different times, without knocking or any words spoken, to get some items from a closet in my room. At quarter to midnight, I left my room myself and went to the desk where four nurses and the doctor were eating. I asked if I could have the paper to sign and leave. The doctor told me to give him 5 minutes to finish his sandwich, that I was up next. I agreed, and went back to my room. When the doctor came in, it was apparent that he didn't look at my chart, as he was pushing on my stomach, in which I reminded him that I had just had surgery 24 hours before on. He looked shocked, took a look at my incisions, and asked why I had come to the ER. I explained to him my situation. He looked at my hives and explained that it was a delayed reaction to the gas mask I wore during surgery. Nothing was prescribed for the itchy or discomfort it caused. I later found out I had a breathing tube, and was never on an oxygen mask. He gave me a pill to settle my stomach and a prescription for the next day, since all the pharmacies were closed. 5 minutes later, I was on my way home. The ER visit lasted almost 4 hours for vomiting and a rash.- Julie E.
