FArnold's Contracting & Fencing LLCI will not be slanderous, only factual. The deck is well built, and we will enjoy it. BUT... It took 71 work days and a Saturday (the entire summer!). There were countless broken promises on the completion date with many excuses. We experienced immeasurable stress which ruined our staycation. Finally, the police had to get involved with him trespassing. (Shout out to the Bath PD and the Sheriff's Dept) I would not hire Arnold's Contracting to screw in a lighbulb and neither should you.- Sarah Y.

AJan Fence IncJan Fence did a beautiful job. I needed a fenced backyard for my dog. The back 25 feet of the property was a mess - huge boulders on one corner, one side sloped down quite a bit and it was used as a dump for leaves - about 3 feet with dead trees and logs. I had one estimate from another company before Jan Fence - and the salesman looked at me like I was crazy for wanting to extend the fence all the way to back of the property. He pretty much whined about how difficult it would be to get around the boulders and trees. I called Jan Fence based on reviews on Angie's List and a recommendation from my realtor. Rob was the salesman that came out and he had no problem seeing how to navigate the boulders and run a reasonably straight line down the slope and through the trees - it was no big deal, just clean up the leaves so they could put in the pipes. I had a landscaper come in and they cleaned it, cut down some trees and removed all the deadfall. The price I got from Jan Fence was better than the other estimate and they could install several weeks earlier - how lucky can you get? The team that came out were professional and the team leader was an old pro and a pleasure to work with. His crew moved some big rocks around and addressed all the places that the dog might attempt to get his head under. The decorative gate at the front of the house came out beautiful. They showed up before 8AM and worked all day long on a very hot day - I think they took a 15 minute lunch break. They cleaned up perfectly, including hosing dirt from the driveway. So very happy I used Jan Fence. Because of them, I have a beautiful big area at the back of my yard that is slightly wooded and of course, my dog's favorite area to run around. I would have lost that nice space if I went with the other company who thought it would be a hassle to fence. y- Sandra Q.

AGOOD NEIGHBOR FENCE COMPANYChecked Angie's list, called Mark who returned my call that evening...sent drawings to him. He called with an estimate right away. He is extremely knowledgable and explained everything. Whenever I had a question, he didn't hesitate to answer. He came out, we signed a contract and as promised, the next week they were here right on time to install our pool fence. It looks beautiful!- Julie A.

ANorth Coast ConstructionThe work was completed in an outstanding manner, and the parts of the project that were being done to a fixed time schedule were all completed on time . (The house was being prepared for a wedding.) The quality of the finishes were outstanding - we couldn't have asked for more. The partner, Ed Povero, responsible for our project was unstinting in his time & oversight. In addition to the quality of their work, Ed & his crew added considerable value to the project by making very valuable suggestions for changes to the architects' plan for the renovations which the project architect agreed were improvements to their design.- Paul C.

AFreedom Fence CoArrived to measure and give estimate next day after initial contact. Received estimate and date work to be done that same day. They arrived only a couple days later than estimated for installation due to extreme rainfall this spring/summer. They installed the fence posts one day and two days later came and installed all of the fencing. Extremely satisfied and impressed with their commitment to their customers and their interest in getting back to customer immediately and the quality of their work.- Judy S.

ALowe's Home ImprovementMaterials were delivered on time and extra material was picked up promptly and refunded to my account. Couldn't ask for better delivery people. They placed materials just off the edge of the driveway as to not drive there lift into the lawn and create ruts. pick up of materials was scheduled to my time so the I was available to count returns with the driver. Receipts of returned material to my account came in the mail a few days later.- Earl M.

ASTANTON FENCE & CONSTRUCTIONMr Stanton ordered all supplies and installed 96 feet of fencing around our new inground pool. He installed 48 feet of 6 ft vinyl privacy fence along with a gate and he also installed 48 ft of 5 ft aluminum fencing and a gate. He did a wonderful job and the fencing is perfectly level; perfectly straight; and is exactly what we wanted done. Mr Stanton worked for nearly 6 hrs on June 11 in the pouring rain. I am so glad Andy Willig Sprague's Mermaid Pools recommended Stanton Fence Co.- Bradley W.

AOverall, Mark (owner of Nail & Pails) was extremely professional and personable, and our counter top looks beautiful. Mark returned our phone call in a timely manner and was very prompt in responding to our inquiry, scheduling a visit within the week. He came to see us for a consultation to determine if the job was within the scope of his ability, which it was, and we discussed the specific details of our situation (extending counter top, not having a beveled edge, L corner, floating installation). We purchased our counter top from another retail store and Mark worked around the arrival schedule as we waited for it to come in. He also quoted us a specific price and a specific amount of time to complete the job. As far as the actual work goes, Mark was extremely detailed oriented and he took special precaution when combining the two counter tops at the corner. Rather than just gluing at the corner, he created a system to combine them underneath to create a tight joint, and used glue as a secondary support. This is just one example of how he went above and beyond expectations to provide us with a better service. Though Mark worked diligently, it took him a few extra hours to complete the job. He honored his original price despite working extra hours and was very thorough with the clean up afterward; he even volunteered to take away some of the extra old counter top! We did have some unforeseen house issues arise throughout the installation, and Mark had solutions to each one, but he also informed us of approximate prices while he was fixing the problems so we were not taken by surprise when our total was slightly higher than the quoted price. Throughout the process, Mark offered solutions to other kitchen remodeling questions (cabinet wall space, tile backsplash, etc.) and he volunteered to help us with other projects if we needed help. At the end of this process, we have a beautifully installed counter top that has held up well over time. Additionally, Mark was easy to talk to and very pleasant. I would absolutely recommend Nails & Pails for other handyman projects to both family and friends, and I will likely be using his services again in the future!

AWe live out of the area and have used Keith's Handyman many times to help with repairs to a family member's home. He has done roof repairs, door/framing replacements, and a bathroom remodel. We also hired him to do leaf and snow removal. All projects and services were great. His team is prompt, courteous, and takes pride in their work. We trust him to do the job right, and to do it on time and on budget. We highly recommend Ketih's Handyman and will work with them again.

Our non-electric dog fence is comprised of 12 individual components. It is a REAL physical fence that can be assembled by any homeowner or professional installer which we can provide. Our fence acts as a flexible net that inhibits dogs and other animals from climbing. The bottom material is flared in towards you and secured with uniquely shaped ground stakes to create a dig guard. You don’t have to dig any holes, mix cement, or make any changes to your landscape.

APet Playgrounds installed a 6 foot fence in our backyard to create a safe play area for our dogs. The work was done quickly, the price was reasonable, and the fence has held up well to all kinds of weather. It is by far the best fence we have ever had, and I feel better knowing that when the dogs go outside, they are safe and secure.

FStarted out very impressed with Mr. Fussy's business. He came out exactly when he said he would, provided a written quote with a specific date that the work would be done by, and did some more research to answer my questions. The problems started when the work was complete and he asked for payment. I paid in full, in cash at the time he requested it. Then I checked the work (my mistake here - he had good reviews) - The quote and work order stated that he would replace four panels of screening on the porch. Only three were done. I e-mailed him and asked about it and he said that four were done. I walked the porch again and asked again. He came over on a Sunday and checked the work. He was upset because his employee or sub-contractor only did three panels. He said that the guy would be back to complete the work. There was no charge to have him come back. Guy came back, did a half a panel. Last week, I went out on the porch and the furring strips were only attached by two or three airgun nails - they were pulling away from the support beam. Mind, this is less than a month since they were installed. I e-mailed Mr. Fussy's business address with pictures and got no response. A couple days later, I notice that on the back of the porch the furring strip is FALLING OFF. This is still less than a month since it was installed. I e-mailed Mr. Fussy's business address again. No response. The e-mails were polite and professional, I waited a full week before posting reviews. There was no away message or business closed notification e-mail. I climb up on a ladder (multiple health and balance issues) and hammer some finish nails into the furring strips as best I can. The furring strip in the picture fell off before I could get to it. I am not a professional repair person, I paid someone to do a professional job and not only did they not do a professional job, they set up the job to fail the same way the original screens did (too few fasteners). Also, there was no discount from the quote given despite the fact that they were not able to install a chimney cap as my chimney is an unusual size. Due to the failure of the furring strips (i found more that were ready to fall off next) and the odd appearance of the chimney, I have lost confidence that the chimney was repointed properly. Unfortunately I do not have the money to hire another handyman. I am also extremely grateful that I was unable to afford to have the 'big' project that he quoted done this year as I am going back to school...because if that had been done as badly as the porch was, I would have been devastated. You may contact me for pictures and copies of the e-mails that I sent him as well as dates and times.

FDO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL ROB YOU. Buyer BEWARE! Ramiro (Mex Fence) quoted our project, which was then approved. In order to get us on his schedule he required a 50% down payment. Once he received the down payment he became unresponsive and when I could get ahold of him he had excuses for why the project was delayed. I requested a refund and we have yet to receive it - this has been over a month. I requested that they cancel the check and send a new one. I was told by Ramiro that he no longer has the funds and he can do nothing more to get us our refund. On top of all of this, I requested Mex Fence's certificate of insurance from Ramiro. He proceeded to send me a forged certificate which I was able to confirm falsified by the insurance company listed on the forged certificate. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL ROB YOU.
