    Tim is a stickler for details. He took the time with me to draw up what I thought that I wanted and then had good suggestions for me as to what would look good in the room. When I had ideas for things that he thought would be outside of my budget, he told me. He also had suggestions for contractors. I have not completed my addition yet but he has been helpful to me all along the way and the contractors are all very impressed with the plans that he did.

    I told John that I needed to submit his estimate to our Allstate insurance claims provider for approval. (The roof and door were insurance claims from a hail/rain storm.) John left, and there were NO PROBLEMS. I told John that I would call him and let him know what Allstate says about the roof. I also told him I would shop for a Patio french door, and let him know when that comes in. I submitted the paperwork to Allstate, and they told me the Estimates for our roof were high. I went back and fourth with Allstate, and they decided to send another roofing inspector out on July 5th to re-evaluate our roof. I called John the day after Allstate called me with their July 5th date which was Tuesday June 21 to set up a time to install the patio door. John asked me if I heard anything about the roof, I told him that Allstate was going to send people out to re-evaluate on the 5th of July. HERE IS WHERE JOHN'S ATTITUDE CHANGED: Well, did I give you a quote for the patio door? I said yes John. $650.00 I have it here. John says: Oh, that was a long time ago, I said it was on June 2nd, and YOUR quote says it is good for 30 days RIGHT? John says: Did I include materials?? I said: I have no clue, I am providing the door, and all the hardware....So then John tells me that he is knee deep in a and quot;shingleand quot; job and to give him a call when our Patio door was delivered. I called John back AGAIN and on June 27th, I called John and told him that our patio door was delivered, and that I am ready whenever he is. John asked about the roof again. I repeated to John what I had told him the last time, that on July 5th Allstate was going to send out 2 inspectors to re-inspect. So John tells me to call him after the 4th of July Holiday. Now I get the feeling that John is stalling me off because he is waiting for the and quot;Bigger Joband quot; of my roof, and the 30 day quote will run out on July 2. So, I email Home Advantage Plus to make sure my $650.00 quote is still valid (and that I would have a record of his answer in writing through the email.) I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HIM. I called John today. I said you told me to call you back after the 4th of July Holiday, so today is the 5th, can we set up a time for you to install our patio door. John's reply: So did you hear anything about the roof? I told John that the Allstate guys were here now. John's reply: Well, I can install the door next week sometime. I said okay can we set up a day and time. John says: I will come out on Monday to see what I need for the job and then install the door on Tuesday. I said okay, what time will you be here on Monday? He told me to call him on Monday night?? I said John, you just told me that you will be here on Monday to look at the job and see what you needed, and then on Tuesday you would be here for the install. He replied Yup. So instead of running around in circles, I said okay John, and hung up. I sat down for about 5 minutes and thought to myself: He is stalling for the roof again, and giving me the run around. I still have no set time that he is going to be here. I called John back: I said you know John, you keep telling me to call you back, I JUST WANT A SET TIME you will be here. WHAT TIME ON MONDAY will you be here? What time on Tuesday for the install? John apologized to me and told me he was on his cell phone driving while he was talking to me the last phone call...and that he will try to accommodate me....AND that he had NO IDEA that I was IN A RUSH to get this patio door installed.....so then I got MAD. John tried to turn the situation around to make it seem like I was in such a rush to put the door in. Which was NOT how this went. I let him know the whole time where I was. John kept putting me off, and making me call him back. I am only given a 30 day quote, then it expires. John also told me and quot;I better moveand quot; on these jobs because it was summertime and his busiest season. I told him to forget the patio door, and forget the roof. I would find someone else. I then hung up on him. The initial visit with John went great (other than the fact that he was an hour late.) I liked John.
