Upstate Asphalt & Leto Paving LLC
I was very impressed with not only the information I received prior to my appointment but the follow up after the work was performed. I had a complete replacement driveway done and the price and workmanship was very professional. T he team that showed up was well organized and very professional. They not only cleaned up from their work they also cleaned my sidewalk. They went above and beyond for me and the price was great. I would recommend this company to anyone

I contacted the company on 9/13/17 to secure a quote to have my 2300sqft driveway sealed along with filling some crackers that developed over time. I received a response from Katie via email within a few hours and was told that they could have a person come by on 9/15/17 to provide a quote. The person arrived promptly as scheduled. I was pleasantly surprised to have the quote come in under a competitors quote (scheduled but never showed up). I immediately called the office followed up with an email to schedule a time to have the work completed. Again I received a quick reply back from Katie and was told that I would be put on the schedule for 9/22/17 (Friday afternoon) and that it would be confirmed on the Wednesday prior (9/20). This is where it goes a little off. I didnt receive an email or a call on Wednesday to confirm so I sent an email to make sure that I was still on the schedule being that the weather was going to be ideal for that Friday and the next 4-5 days following. On Thursday I received and email from Erin (had been dealing with Katie prior) stating that they were not going to have any crews sealcoating on Friday as all hands were needed to work on a road (not driveway) paving job. After receiving the news, I called the office and left a message expressing my disappointment that this was a last minute change. I received a call back and spoke with Erin (not Katie). I again expressed my dissatisfaction with the schedule change and the fact that this road paving job mysteriously showed up on their calendar after my job was already scheduled. Erin assured me that they would put me on the schedule for first thing Monday 9/25. The whole reason for having it done on a Friday was because I live on very busy main road and we were using the neighbors driveway across the street to park our cars. The whole idea was so my wife didnt have to worry about crossing an extremely busy road dues to morning rush hour traffic in order to get to her vehicle. Come Monday, the guys were suppose to be there right around 8am. Turns out they were there at 7:25am and I made it clear that I didnt get home from work until 7:45am. (I work 3rd shift). Luckily my wife had already left for work but I still had to scramble to get my sons car out of the driveway. By the time I arrived home, they had already edged the driveway and were blowing off the debris. All in all, the whole job took approximately 1hr 15min. The workers were efficient and neat. The seal coating was applied without getting any on the garage, some wood planters that run along a good portion of the driveway or a brick paver walkway. On the whole, I am happy with the overall job and experience working with this company. The only thing I was not happy about was the last minute rescheduling. A job as big as a road pavement, in my opinion, is not something that just shows up on a schedule. It would seem to me that this job was already planned and either there was a miscommunication within their own office or someone underestimated how much labor they needed to complete that job. I will chalk that up to a fluke thing and would use this company again based on the cost/quality of work/initial communication.

These guys were great!! Came out and looked at job and gave us a very fair price compared to 2 other contractors (both also well rated on Angie's List) They came on time and got straight to work. Were done by 3 PM and it looked awesome. Highly recommend these guys....small family business but doing it right.

Once again they were excellent across the board. They're very professional, the crew that we see there were about five or six guys they worked together seamlessly so that the work went very smoothly, they all knew what needed to be done, when it needed to be done, who had to do it and it was just quick and easy.

    Brian Hayes Paving
I was excited with the job Brian Hayes Paving and his crew proposed. As it was they had to come back to correct and it appears I was shorted on one of my driveways. It is now about a year later and I have called Brian over and over about a dip in the driveway (something we expected could happen) "just call and we'll take care of it". No on returns my calls. I even had friends call for a quote from him, they got the quote and when questioned, never any follow up. Not sure what happened to this man or company. If you are looking for follow up or any communication after the job, beware.

TOO BUSY!! I would not bother to call this provider.  They "said" that they showed up at my house, however, there were 4 people home between the hours of 4 and 5 when they were suppose to show up.  I e-mailed them today to advise them that no one showed up.  I was told that they did but no one answered the door (why didn't they call me cell).  There were at least two if not three cars is the driveway.  I was then advised that THEY are too busy to complete this job.  My driveway is the most 100 feet long.  I find it hard to believe that any company would turn down work without even asking if there was a specific time frame for the job to be completed.  I don't believe that anyone showed up at my home.  I don't want people wasting there time calling this company when they are turning down work.  Don't bother!

    D.S.M Enterprises
D.S.M.'s three-person crew arrived on time, cleaned the driveway, including the grass growing over the asphalt, applied hot crack filler to the end of the driveway and other cracks, and hand applied a quality latex sealer with sand additive. The driveway looks great! The crew was professional and thorough and left the site clean. I dealt with Dan and Scott, who were very professional. I plan on using them again in two years when the driveway will need to be resealed.

    783-SEAL, 783-PAVE (Smith's - Latham, NY)
Last July (2014), I received an estimate to have my apartment house sidewalk (crumbling, broken concrete) resurfaced.  I did not act upon it last year as I had other more pressing projects. This I felt was more cosmetic in nature.  This spring I had sewer troubles at the apartment house which included   a section of the sidewalk  being removed for the new sewer line being installed. I called Smith's Paving about the old estimate. They came back to see the site and told me that they would honor the previous estimate. I accepted and was placed on the 'schedule'.  They were not expected until sometime this July.  They called me on June 3rd to tell me they had a cancellation and would I be agreeable to have the work done on the 5th. Absolutely!!  A crew of 4 came  to prepare the site for the asphalt.  The truck arrived and they were done in less than 3 hours.  Excellent job. It looks fantastic.

    Egan Paving Co

I think they did a very good job. They removed the old driveway and laid down the base for the new one the first day. Because we have a high water table in this area, compounded with clay soil, I was concerned with drainage issues, so they waited a week to test the new base before finishing with the top coat. During that week, of course, we couldn't use the driveway, but that was OK in order to assess the special care they took in digging a deeper foundation for the new base layer. The second layer really had a nice finished look, and they took care to adjust the level of the blacktop to the height of the sidewalks.

Tim Egan is a very nice, professional man who impressed me as very knowledgeable and caring. He and his crew acted in a quiet, workmanlike manner--they knew their jobs and worked well together. They cleaned up after themselves and were always polite and friendly. I'm glad I hired them; I didn't know them beforehand, and hired them mostly on Angie's List recommendations.
