Dan and his team were excellent! They re-pointed our chimney and replaced the damaged bricks. Dan even filled a 2-inch step crack on the side of my house with mortar for no extra charge, and that was with it being added on after already giving me my original quote, very kind! Dan and his team also thoroughly cleaned the work area when finished, which is very important, as I've had contractors in the past leave a giant mess! DMR also had the best price out of three well respected Masonry companies on Angie's list. Would definitely use again and recommend to others! -Mark Grimaldi

I found these guys here on Angies List, and theyre as good as the reviews say. They were super professional, responsive, and they answered all my stupid questions. The work was solid quality and they cleaned up. Cant ask for more! Thinking about hiring for another project in the future.

Excellent. They had a big work crew that came for the full week. The foreman was professional and each day they cleaned up as much as they could. We had a lot of work done and they were efficient and knowledgeable. We absolutely recommend them.

As far as I know, he did a good job. I like John, he is pleasant and seems to be efficient. I don't know that kind of work, so my judgment is subjective. He had done similar work 5 years before.
I had a hard time getting in touch with him for an initial appointment for an estimate, which was frustrating. He said he'd been out of town, and was having problems with a new phone. Once in contact, all went very well. He was punctual and did the work in timely manner, and reasonably. I do recommend him.

From first phone call to job completion a very good experience. Danny returned my call the same day I placed it and set up a time for an estimate, the next day. He showed up two days on time and completed the work. He did a little more than agreed to without charge because it needed it. He cleaned up better than when he arrived.

I initially contacted Dan in June to look at my crumbling chimney. He came out promptly. At the time he told me that my front steps were in worse shape than my chimney. He gave me an estimate for the steps and then another estimate for the chimney. I had him fix the steps first. They were sinking into the ground and the three steps were not to code; each step was a different height. He came out when he said he would with a worker and they worked all day on the steps. He came back a couple of days later to take off the form. I paid him $732 for the steps which I thought was a good price for the work he did. I mentioned to him that there were 3 separate instances when bats fell down the chimney and got into the house. The day that he fixed the steps, he put up a screen on the top of the chimney so this wouldn't happen again.
He came back on 7/26/13 to start work on the chimney. He took several rows of bricks off and replaced them with new bricks. He came back on 7/29 and put the cap on the chimney. I paid him $800 which I thought was very reasonable.
He does a very good job and is a hard worker. He takes pride in his work and is very cheerful. I am very pleased with his work and will be using him again in the Spring of 2014 to do some more work around my house.

It went very well. The team arrived on time and work steadily all day long. The old blacktop driveway and sidewalks etc., were removed and hauled away. The new areas were prepared as indicated in the contract and the job looks great. A bonus was that the job was all done in one long day!! We liked their work so well we have already had another job done by them and were equally satisfied with that work as well.

I needed masonry work done on my old brick house.  The owner John came out for the estimate and walked around my whole house pointing out everything that needed work.  He told me I was in most need of getting an angle iron on one of the front windows replaced since that front part of the house could possibly fall down with that angle iron being so bad.  There was other work that needed to be done but that was what he suggested needed to be done right away.  He gave me an estimate for this
being at $3650.  He also told me that his workers are the best in the business since his clients don't want s*** done for work as he put it.  He said he gets all kinds of people that want to work for him but he has to turn them down because he hires only the best workers.  His guys aren't green as he put it and have several years of masonry experience. So I decided to get this work done and signed the contract for this price.
My biggest mistake was signing the contract and going with this company.  First off the owner John does not have a number where you can call him directly and when he calls you it comes up as restricted.  He has a number where you can call that some woman answers and then he'll call you back from an unknown number.
I could never get a firm date as to when the masonry work would be performed to start.  I got the original estimate in early August and was hoping to get the work done fairly soon.  After 2 months of waiting I had enough and called to see when they would come out for the work.  John called me all disgruntled telling me that he's got all these people ahead of me and that we'll get to you when we get to you.  I asked for an approximate date and he could not get me a date simply telling me that we should do the work before the end of the year.  This didn't sit well with me but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and continued to wait.
After 3 months of waiting for the work to be performed I got a call in mid November saying that his guys would be out to perform the work.  When the two guys showed up to do the work I was surprised to see that they had to be in their early 20's at most probably fresh out of high school.  The work done was nothing short of atrocious.  They put up a new angle iron but did not rust proof it and paint it like they should have.  They had to remove some of the bricks and relay them to replace
the angle iron.  One of the guys dropped a brick from up top onto the window trim below and dented in the trim above.  John said they would replace the trim and that he was sorry for this inconvenience.  When asked about rust proofing the angle iron John told me to go to the storeand buy some rustoleum and then slap a coat of paint onto it.  I was very upset was this fast talking egotistical owner.  They did replace the bottom window trim but the top of the window trim is dented in to this day.  I was just glad to get these guys off my property and be done with them.  But to add insult to injury, John gave me the final bill of
$5650 which was $2000 more that what he quoted me.  He told me this was because they had to relay some of the brick and they didn't expect to do this.
All I can recommend is for everyone to stay away from this company.  The owner is a fast talking crook out to get unsuspecting
people and his workers are terrible with no experience.

Dan did a great job from start to finish. I needed to get some bricks repaired at the top of my chimney and he was on time for the estimate. It was a fair estimate and he ended up getting the chimney repointed as well. It looks great and I couldn't be happier. Clean up was done as well. No problems recommending D M R to anyone that needs any masonry work done!

All of the work contracted for was completed and I am extremely happy with the quality of the work done and the professionalism of those doing the work.  Our property is now a showplace.  Our home of 18 years is now they way we always wanted it but never got around to doing.  I would not hesitate in recommending Frank's Landscaping to anyone in need of the services we required.  If there was to be bit of advice I would pass along, it would be to let Frank choose his own sub-contractors, and keep an open line of communication with all parties involved.  I kind of insisted Frank use a particular sub contractor for part of the extensive project.  It could have been a much more seamless production if all of the parties involved were similarly motivated.  Putting these two parties together was solely on me, and were it to be done again I believe I would reconsider my insistence.  Cudos to Frank Dimaria and his extremely hard working crew.  Today everything is done to my satisfaction and we are still friends, and in fact I have continued our professional relationship with a maintenance contract as our plumber to maintain our home and furnace and AC.
