DInternist Associates Central NYThe doctor I went to for years left her practice and I was sent to another office to be seen by Dr. Lisa Dorsey. It was the same Group but different office. I called the new office as I was scheduled for surgery and needed to be seen to be cleared for surgery. They scheduled a new patient appointment and then another appointment for the pre-op. When I called the office I was told that they didn't have me scheduled for a pre-op appointment. After doing some research I was told that I had an appointment, which I already knew, but it had been cancelled. I was upset as I had surgery scheduled soon and needed bloodwork done. I was told that someone would get back to me. It had been two days and no one had called me back so I called them back once again. They made another appointment for me to be seen.
Prior to my first appointment I needed to have a refill on a medication that I take on a daily basis. I called them on Monday, knowing that they needed three days to process the request. By Friday, I still had not heard back from them. I was going to be out of my medication on Saturday. My husband went up to the office in person to see about getting a new prescription. He was told as I had not been seen in their office yet I needed the script to be refilled from my previous office. I didn't understand why no one notified me of this.
Recently, I received a letter telling me that my new doctor Lisa Dorsey was leaving their practice and my records were being sent to another practice. The new practice does not participate with my insurance company so therefore I can't go there. Once again they should have confirmed that the new practice did participate with my insurance company. Currently, I am still looking for a new primary care physician. I called the office after receiving the letter and left a message for the office manager to please return my call. I have not recieved a call from her.
I am very disappointed by this office and the way I've been treated.
I would never recommend anyone go to this office. I consider it to be a meat factory seeing 250 patients a day and the staff is so incompetent!! I would be concerned for anyone being seen in that office.

CEdelman, Dr. Freddie L.The surgery went fine except for waking up a little early; the doctor's assistant (I believe his wife) asked me if I was f___ing crazy for doing both feet at the same time. She busted into the examination room and was extremely loud and disruptive. I think the doctor should get a different assistant.- Cindy W.

CTifft, Dr. James GDr. Tifft is very polite and knows what hes doing, but seem to be to busy with 3 offices. Always end up in the ER because he will talk about a plan an then you cant get in again for a month or 2. By that time your in need for surgery.- KERA E.

CAcu-Care Acupuncture CenterI did 5 sessions of electro-acupuncture with Dr. Wang. She seemed very knowledgable and skilled with regards to the practice. However she never failed to remind me at each appointment that if I did not continue my therapy with her I "will get cancer." This caused me a lot of stress before each session. In addition, I found that the needles were leaving itchy red bumps on my skin which would last for a week. I mentioned it to her and she said I was "allergic to the alcohol swabs" and did not offer a solution. The final straw was at my sixth appointment which was at 5pm. I was left in the exam room for 45 minutes with no sign of the doctor. I came out after 25 minutes and the receptionists (who were all very helpful) said they'd find her, but she failed to show up. I decided to leave as she was nearly an hour behind schedule and ran into the Dr. as I left, who seemed offended that I was leaving. I cannot say overall if the therapy helped my inflammatory condition as I did not do the recommended number of sessions (20) by Dr. Wang.

ACohen, Dr. MelissaDr. Cohen inspected my toe nails and said to do nothing except keep my feet dry and the toe nails will grow out in 6-9 months. Specifically did not recommend any medication. I am doing this review in April 2015 and everything is fine.

AEye Consultants Of Syracuse
Dr. Spitzer and his staff went out of their way to assure my wife that her concerns were met and addressed, as her 1st cataract surgery (by a different provider did not go well - she was overmedicated and not treated well when she reacted to medication. During pre-surgery, the day of surgery and post-care Dr. Spitzer was available, and called personally twice to check on her afterward. I will be going to him when it's time for me to get the procedure done.

ASUNY Upstate Medical University HospitalMy general physician and my dentist, both are very good. I just switched doctors, the doctor was good but the office personnel were terrible. I use Upstate Medical Family Practice. It is the SUNY Upstate University Hospital. They are a family practice and it is a part of the university, the family practice extension. My physicians name is Chrystal Gill. She is a general physicist. They are responsive. I like that they have a great online system. You can call them, set up an appointment online and even if I get blood work done, it all gets to be online, I like that. I like everything electronic. I would rate them an 'A' for everything.- Suzanne W.

AAssociated Medical ProfessionalI was pleasantly surprised. They brought in music of my choice and chatted with me in good humor throughout. 3 people in the room (Doctor, Nurse, and Physician Assistant), not at all "Cold" or "Clinical". The whole thing took about 20 minutes with about 5 minutes per side of actual operating. Dr. James is expert at minimizing pain and describing exactly what you'll feel and when. Aside from the needle for the local anesthetic and a little pulling here and there, I really felt very little. I've had dental cleanings that were more painful.
Total cost to me was $850 (I have a high deductible plan, so need to meet that before co-insurance kicks in). I paid in full at the time of the procedure.
I was walking and operating fine same right after the procedure and aside from avoiding heavy lifting and strain, all I've needed is a little Tylenol (note, avoid Ibuprofen or any blood-thinning pain med) and I'm fine!

ACNY Family Care LLPI usually see Dr. Aliwalas...I NEVER wait to get an appointment, or in the waiting room. Only once did I need to wait once in the exam room as Dr. Aliwalas was caught on a phone call to another patient trying to convince them to be seen for test results ( I was able to hear the conversation...no specific just that they needed to make an appointment and the patient was obviously hesitent).
I never feel rushed by any of the staff there. I had not seen a PCP in almost 20 years when I had been there the first time, but was not chastised nor was I talked down to. Dr. Aliwalas was patient with me as we took care of my immediate needs (HBP) first... then systematically worked on getting me up to date on all my other needs ( women dr type issues).
Everyone in the staff here talks with you and not to you about your visit....a refreshing change from other and quot;family careand quot; type offices I have dealt with. When I thought I had an ear infection they were prompt in getting me in ( same day) and responsive to understanding my issue ( I was born with narrow eustacian tubes and infect easily) as well as treating my condition without a litany of prescriptions.
I would and have recommended this practice to anyone looking for a Dr. who is interested in really listening to you and taking the time to respond to your questions and concerns.

AFamily Medicine AssocI saw Dr. Telonis who was seeing me for the first time. I am a nurse, so I could appreciate his thoroughness and liked his bedside manner as well. I felt he listened well, and was very professional.
