    AQUINA'S PAINTING CONTRACTORS INC
I just hired Jim from Aquinas Painting to paint my house, shed and one bathroom. He came highly recommended from my realtor. I had 3 different quotes and he gave me the best price by quite a bit, and also was able to get it done quickly - he started and completed the entire job within a week. Very pleased with his work and would highly recommend him to anyone.

outstanding job. not easy to find a company that does small jobs, got an estimate within 2 days, job performed 2 days later. had a partial popcorn ceiling and did not want to have it removed (messy and expensive), these guys blended in a new partial popcorn ceiling and it matched perfectly. Arrived on time, finished on time and did a neat professional job. a pleasure to deal with. Office personnel friendly and responsive. Highly recommend.

They were here and working by 8 a.m. All areaswere preppedwith plastic covering in each room. Ceilings were spackled and repaired as needed. Stain sealer was applied and dried . The workers finished all 3 ceilngs, cleaned up, vacuumed and moved the furniture back in place by 4 oclock in the afternoon. I am extremely pleased with the job they did.

It didn't... First, it was very difficult to schedule someone to give us a quote. Then, they told us it would take three days to provide us with a number (apparently they don't work weekends). It has now been over a week since they promised they would have some information for us, and even after sending another email to the company reminding them of their obligation, they have yet to respond. Best not to trust a company who can't even provide a QUOTE in a timely manner...any guesses on how that translates to their work ethic and quality standards? Best to give your business to a company that can deliver on their promises.

    Ramon Drywall
The job was delayed by a week as the subcontractors were not available. Then there were a series of people (basically whoever he could find) who came in and out of our home. They showed very little concern for our house. They did not take routine precaution such as putting up plastic barriers at the door, as a result for weeks, every night our home was covered in dust which we had to clean. We had to repeatedly ask them lay down paper so they don't leave dusty foot prints all over the house. We did everything including providing them with shoe covering but like incorrigible children they would forget to take them off, as they walked out of the work area. The pre-prep was non existent and they are not in the habit of cleaning up after themselves. Ramon was hired to install dry wall followed by a drop ceiling and then paint the area. In his wisdom he did the dry wall and then painted. This was for his convenience. The subcontractor he hired for painting was a sour man who left large areas unpainted and had to be brought back to finish the job. The other issue was because he painted before the drop ceiling, the drop ceiling installers left several marks on newly painted walls which need touch up, one more thing for us to do. The most disappointing part of the interaction was that Ramon had come to see the home at least three times before we agreed to hire him. Dry wall in a basement can present with several difficult situation which demand a professional solution. For example, he drywalled the utility area in the basement but did not not account for ventilation. I had to hire someone else to come and open the wall so the area would have proper ventilation. As a professional he should have known this. The job progressed slowly because Ramon moved on to another job leaving a day laborer and a semi skilled individual who plodded through. The job was often shoddy. They would fix something which would fall off the next day. Or they would forget to make sure the entire room needs to be inspected to make sure there were no area where insulation was visible. I still have at least three area which need attention but at this point I can't do anything about it as they have collected the money and are not under any obligation to respond. The most frustrating aspect of interaction with this contractor is that he does not listen closely nor is he in the habit of taking notes. As a result despite going over the job ad nauseam he needed to be reoriented every day. This created confusion and resulted in a poor job.

    Valley Painting Inc.
The work was done to my satisfaction. Steve and his crew showed up on time as promised. Steve sat with me and helped me choose paint colors. He made suggestions as to what would look best in my home. He was willing to do anything I asked of him. I recommended him to my best friend and she used his services as well. He is a true gentleman in business and is a rare find.

Steve came to my home each time we did a job together, sat with us for a while, discussed colors, and gave me tips from other clients as to the colors and styles I might like. He returned my emails and phone calls very promptly. The crew shows up on time as promised. they worked neatly and cleaned up the job when they were finished. I was so pleased with the completed work that I referred him to a friend. He painted her entire home as well. He is a true gentleman in business. A rare find!

    Ultimate Home Services
From our first meeting, we were impressed. This company did the basics right every time: showed up on time, communicated, kept our house clean, did the work they were hired for and handled all the permits and subcontracts for us. We even had them handle the waterproofing and sump pump before starting the work. Their crew was very polite and the owner Rick was a pleasure to work with. He even encouraged us to use sound reducing sheetrock on our ceiling along with insulation to reduce noise transmitted upstairs.

    SPILOTRAS PAINTING
They came were respectful and were hired after six days they were done. At the check out with the boss I was like i m sure you did nt replace enough wood he agreed and they replaced more cedar. Second job, they painted the floor of my porch within days it was peeling again, they came back to use oil paint but gave me a different gray then was originally painted. Back to the exterior after a year the exterior had many places it was peeling they have a one year warranty and they agreed in May to repaint those areas and after emailing them for five months they came in the end of October. It has been over two years and it is clear they did not replace enough wood as wood has started to warp and crack. So Please if you have an older home I would avoid this company. Pictures below.

    The Paint Specialist Inc
One word for Paul and his team at Paint specialists AMAZING! It has been over a year since they completed the work and everyday I am still amazed at what a great job they did. We received three bids from different contractors. Some "yessed" us to death but ultimately were not listening to what we wanted. They kept insisting colors and finishes we did not want. Some low-balled the price but never put all we requested into writing. When Paul came over it was clear that he was really paying attention to what we wanted. He also made valuable comments and suggestions and his expertise and experience was immediately apparent. He was straight forward and professional, no BS, no yessing to death. No ball parking or incomplete quote. Paul took the time he needed (2-3 days) and presented a very professional folder with his insurances and a detailed written estimate of the work. He was not the cheapest, but I knew that meant he was quoting accurately. Furthermore, he continued to be very responsive and communicate regularly and professionally through out the process. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. My gut was telling me that he was the right company to go with, and I'm so glad I followed that feeling. As for the work itself. I have to say it is more than just the shear amount of labor involved in stripping decades worth of wallpaper from almost every room, doing carpentry and painting an entire house inside and out. That alone is obviously worth hiring professionals. More importantly it was the artistry and skill with which Paul and his team performed the work that continues to impress us to this day. I have painted a bunch of the places myself over the years. I am a very handy person and can do some wood work and other general things. However, I can honestly say that Paul and his team, who do this work day in and day out, can do what you cannot do. Everything was perfect, the lines where ceiling meets wall, every molding, the smoothness of the walls, the consistency of the color and coats of paint. Paul helped reassure us the colors we chose were right for the particular areas they were applied. He guided us on which finish was used where, flat / eggshell / semi-gloss. Additionally, they were very accommodating with the schedule working in a timely manor and they kept things clean and tidy through out the process. Overall, they did a phenomenal job. I have already used them on a few more jobs both at the same house and at other locations. I have recommended them to several friends, colleagues and will continue to do so.
