    P M Quality Painting
It didn't... First, it was very difficult to schedule someone to give us a quote. Then, they told us it would take three days to provide us with a number (apparently they don't work weekends). It has now been over a week since they promised they would have some information for us, and even after sending another email to the company reminding them of their obligation, they have yet to respond. Best not to trust a company who can't even provide a QUOTE in a timely manner...any guesses on how that translates to their work ethic and quality standards? Best to give your business to a company that can deliver on their promises.

    PuroClean Emergency Restoration Specialists
The crew arrived on time, did the work and cleaned up when finished. They drained the water, moved furniture, tore up the rugs and removed everything. When they were finished they vacuumed the basement and the upper floor. They washed the main floor too because that is how the damaged rugs and furniture were removed. They did a great job. The men were all professional, courteous and respectful of our belongings. Mr. Cohen was very reassuring. He explained the insurance process and helped us find a contractor who was as reliable and professional as he was. I would have no hesitation recommending Puroclean to anyone who needs their help.

    Builder's Mark General Contracting
Called for an estimate and followed instructions to text my request. Received a response that John would get back to me after the weekend. A week and then two with no call back. I gave the job to someone else. No excuse for no follow up. It's rude and poor customer service.

    Ramon Drywall
The job was delayed by a week as the subcontractors were not available. Then there were a series of people (basically whoever he could find) who came in and out of our home. They showed very little concern for our house. They did not take routine precaution such as putting up plastic barriers at the door, as a result for weeks, every night our home was covered in dust which we had to clean. We had to repeatedly ask them lay down paper so they don't leave dusty foot prints all over the house. We did everything including providing them with shoe covering but like incorrigible children they would forget to take them off, as they walked out of the work area. The pre-prep was non existent and they are not in the habit of cleaning up after themselves. Ramon was hired to install dry wall followed by a drop ceiling and then paint the area. In his wisdom he did the dry wall and then painted. This was for his convenience. The subcontractor he hired for painting was a sour man who left large areas unpainted and had to be brought back to finish the job. The other issue was because he painted before the drop ceiling, the drop ceiling installers left several marks on newly painted walls which need touch up, one more thing for us to do. The most disappointing part of the interaction was that Ramon had come to see the home at least three times before we agreed to hire him. Dry wall in a basement can present with several difficult situation which demand a professional solution. For example, he drywalled the utility area in the basement but did not not account for ventilation. I had to hire someone else to come and open the wall so the area would have proper ventilation. As a professional he should have known this. The job progressed slowly because Ramon moved on to another job leaving a day laborer and a semi skilled individual who plodded through. The job was often shoddy. They would fix something which would fall off the next day. Or they would forget to make sure the entire room needs to be inspected to make sure there were no area where insulation was visible. I still have at least three area which need attention but at this point I can't do anything about it as they have collected the money and are not under any obligation to respond. The most frustrating aspect of interaction with this contractor is that he does not listen closely nor is he in the habit of taking notes. As a result despite going over the job ad nauseam he needed to be reoriented every day. This created confusion and resulted in a poor job.

    Ultimate Home Services
From our first meeting, we were impressed. This company did the basics right every time: showed up on time, communicated, kept our house clean, did the work they were hired for and handled all the permits and subcontracts for us. We even had them handle the waterproofing and sump pump before starting the work. Their crew was very polite and the owner Rick was a pleasure to work with. He even encouraged us to use sound reducing sheetrock on our ceiling along with insulation to reduce noise transmitted upstairs.

    Finest Home Designs LLC

We evaluated three contractors, all selected from Angie's List.  Finest Home Designs' bid provided the best value/price ratio.

Joseph and his team were a pleasure to work with.  Joseph stayed in constant communication, from job inception to execution to

final acceptance.  Whenever we encountered unplanned issues throughout the job, Joseph was always quick to suggest practical and cost-effective design options / solutions.  His team was always very punctual, worked diligently, left their work areas as clean as practical, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

All in all, it was a pleasant experience and we are glad to endorse Finest Home Designs as a fine contracting company to work with.

    Roberts Handyman Service
A water heating pipe burst during the winter causing damage both inside and outside of our mudroom. The plumber was able to cut off the water to the break at the time. We asked Robert to coordinate with the plumber when they permanently repaired the pipe and to install new cedar siding on the outside, drywall and insalation on the inside wall, and paint. He was professional, reasonalbly priced, timely and very easy to work with. We will use him all of the time when we need a good repairman. We highly recommend him.

From start to finish Rick and his team did a
great job.  He arrived on time for his
estimate and we got the numbers back promptly.
We had interviewed several contractors by then and his number was not
the lowest but it wasn?t the highest either.
We chose him because he seemed so knowledgeable, plus he was well
referenced on Angie?s List and had all the insurances and licenses to perform job.
He and his crew did all the work except he
used a licensed plumber and an licensed electrician as well as a professional tiler
as his only subcontractors.  They pretty
much laid out the schedule and stuck to it except for a few inevitable change
orders due to unforeseen obstacles that eventually had to be addressed.
By the way, we added some work in the
Dining Room: new molding and painting which also came out very nicely, and they
did some exterior work on our deck which really needed it.  One of the things Rick did was a complete
survey of our house from the basement to the attic , inside and outside and
gave us some feedback on some issues which we didn?t even know about but which
    turned out to be important.
Anyway,  my wife and I love the results and are
contemplating having Ultimate Home Services come back next year and do our
Kitchen!  Do yourself a favor and hire
    these guys!

    RWS Homes LLC
We sought out 10 contractors to come out and give us a price on remodeling a 68 sq ft. bathroom which would have entailed removing the existing shower stall, replacing it with a tub (for a senior citiizen, and 2 toddlers), plus new insulation, sheet rock, wall tile, floor tile, install a vanity, fixtures and lighting. The prices we received were for labor only and RWS' price was about 60% of many of the other contractors. In addition, Robert was punctual, professional and followed up a few days later with a writen proposal. It's amazing but out of the 10 contractors we contacted, 3 never returned calls, 3 came out and reviewed the job but never provided an estimate and 2 provided estimates almost double of Robert's. While the project ultimately got put on hold, I would not have hesitated to hire them for the job.

    The Paint Specialist Inc
After contacting Paul Grippo of The Paint Specialist, he surveyed the damage to my kitchen caused by a long-standing leak in the condo above mine and provided me with an estimate of the work that needed to be done. When I got the okay from the insurance company, we set up a start date for the following week. Paul and his crew arrived promptly at the appointed time on Monday morning and immediately got to work prepping the area. By Monday evening, the ceiling was completely in and taped. They cleaned up all the mess and left.
They arrived again on Tuesday morning and again prepped the area to minimize any discomfort to us. Paul met with us to help us select a color for the kitchen walls. On Tuesday, they puttied and spackled the kitchen, replaced the moldy drywall in the adjoining closet, cleaned up the mess and left for the day.
Wednesday, the crew arrived, prepped the area, and started painting. By early evening, I had a beautiful new kitchen and mold-free closet. I am sure sanding and so forth occurred over the course of these repairs but you couldn't tell it by me. No muss, no fuss. Absolutely pristine workmanship. They gave us a lot of value-added minor detail repairs that really completed the package. I would recommend Paul and his crew to any and all people needing drywall and paint work. I will definitely call Paul again when we repaint any room in my home. Thanks Paul.d
