BELLAGIO Kitchens & Baths Marble & Granite
On September 12, 2019, at a hearing at the Suffolk County Consumer Affairs office there was a hearing and Bellagio agreed to 9 violations. Two of the violations were for unlicensed plumber and unlicensed electrician. Bellagio also agreed to a $12,500 settlement with the consumer payable in three installments. Bellagio defaulted on the payment due on October 15, 2019 to. Please verify that the insurance policy and license are in effect at the time of any work to be done. Call the insurance company to verify.

    Snake The Drain
Perfectly. Louie was on time, professional and personable. He explained what needed to be done clearly, and was completed in a timely manner. We recommend this company for sink leaks and filter installations. Thank you, Louie.

    Mangano Plumbing Sewer & Drain
Alex was great! He took the time to go through all of the troubleshooting options he could think of, and told us what was going on throughout the whole process. After determining the likely cause of our problems, he gave us some options and prices for possible solutions (which were much better than any of the other plumbing/septic quotes we had gotten already), and we scheduled them to come out the next day with a camera to look through our waste pipes for possible clogs and to locate our cesspool. Overall, it was a very positive experience with Mangano, and we would definitely hire them again!

    Dashing Dan's Plumbing & Heating
Interesting. Dashing Dan initially came on 5/26 (a Saturday) to fix a leak at the bottom of our tank. In that first visit, they stayed a few hours, the plumber declared it "fixed", and charged us $400 to "rebuild the tank". The tank started leaking again a few hours after they left. I called Dashing Dan immediately. They returned Sunday morning. The plumber appeared to blame us for the problem, saying they tested their "fix" twenty times. I said all we do is "our business" and flush. He refused to accept responsibility for the tank not working properly. He stayed a few more hours and "fixed" it. The tank started leaking a few weeks later. We stopped the leaking by jiggling the tank (which we should not have been able to do.) Of course, the leaking continued, in October. A new plumber, AJ, arrived. AJ was polite, professional, and knowledgable. He apologized for the problems and pinpointed the real problem--that the waste pipe (the hole) on the floor was installed an inch too close to the wall by the builder, creating a pressure on the tank that causes unstable seals at the bottom of the tank--pressure that is not duplicated in a factory where the tank is initially assembled. We also had, initially, degraded materials that formed the seal in the tank. AJ said that if he were on call in May he would have recognized all of the issues and informed us about them. He would have fixed the leak correctly five months ago and three visits would not have been required. In the end, AJ made what appears to have been the proper repairs, resetting the toilet, based on the positioning of the hole in our slab. He also informed us that the plumber who came to our home initially, in May, had been fired because he misrepresented his credentials. My recommendation to rehire Dashing Dan is qualified: If they send someone as polite and professional as AJ, we would definitely, call them back for any other plumbing needs. If they send someone like that first guy again, we would never call them again. I also think their pricing is a bit too high, even for plumbers.

Water Works Plumbing, HVAC & Remodels
When Water Works read how unhappy I was with my initial repair work and the faucet they gave me, they called to rectify the situation. They offered a cash compensation but I requested they just replace the faucet with a better one. I chose a few models or equivalents. They scheduled the replacement for 9/29/18 at 12 noon. They called to inform me when the repairman was within 30 minutes of arrival. He was very prompt, professional, and replaced the faucet with a better quality one, as requested. I still believe their pricing could be better, but I would use them again as they perform good service.

    Selective Sculptures
Selective Sculptures just completed a full remodeling of our forty year old kitchen. They did an exquisite job. If we were awarding stars here and five stars was the highest I would ask to assign six to everyone involved, Brian, Scott, Mike, Don, Victor, Eddie and Herrin all in particularly and for their individual contributions. They took a forty year old builders kitchen and gave us a stunningly beautiful country style kitchen that we dreamed of; inclusive of every detail we wished for and they did it at a price that was more than fair and in a timeframe that was absolutely agreeable. They are very skilled craftsman. They were all always welcome in our home because not only did they have tremendous crafting skills, each had a wonderful personality and were a pleasure to have in our home. They left the worksite spotless each night prior to their departure. They were very respectful of the fact that they were working in our home. The ideas they put forth to solve several design problems were genius. All things considered, I would not hesitate in the least to recommend Selective Sculptures to anyone considering any type of home restructuring job. There are a gaggle of contractors out there but none that will give you the type of design and work precision that Selective Sculptures can.

BELLAGIO Kitchens & Baths Marble & Granite
It was a nightmare. He and his staff stated to me that his electrician and plumber were licensed. They were not licensed or insured. Bellagio is licensed but not to do electric or plumbing. The electrician was just a handyman in reality. Sam Soykan, the owner also had his socalled licensed plumber do some electric work. His socalled licensed plumber was actually a man who pled guilty to felonies in Nassau County because he stole money from his previous employer and was ordered to pay restitution in excess of $279,000.00. I found this out when the men he used to do the electrical work caused damage to my central air conditioner and buried a junction box behind sheetrock without a cover in a wall in my garage. I paid for licensed skilled tradesmen and did not receive it. Soykan repeatedly told me and put in writing that he only used licensed electricians and plumbers. When I complained to him he sent me an email that he was going to come to my home and rip out my fireplace. He constantly threatened me verbally and in writing that I better not rock the boat. I told him that I took his comments as threats and he told me they were threats. The job was supposed to take 4 weeks and at 11 weeks it still is not complete. The countertops and island were supposed to have an Ogee edge. Bellagio fabricated the stone with the wrong edge and installed it. The edge on the island is damaged on one side and of course it is visible. I was supposed to have a mud job for the tile floor and it was not done that way. There are numerous mistakes done, none of the 12 high hats are flush with the ceiling and they supposedly did it 3 times, the cabinet doors are not level, also done 3 times, the panel on the side of the refrigerator cabinet is coming apart, the "licensed" plumber did not put silicone around the kitchen sink and many other items too numerous to mention. Soykan did not order enough tile for the floor and he took more than 2 weeks to get the tile. The tile came from Connecticut, he could have driven there to get it. The job got off to a bad start. The job started on Monday, April 2, 2018 and they did the demo for two days. They didn't show up for work for the next 3 days and I had to call them to find out if they were coming to do the job. They used my garage as a dump, treated my home like garbage and left junk all over my driveway after the dumpster was removed. I have asked Serhat Soykan for a refund of $15,000 of what I have paid him and his counteroffer to that was for me to pay him $15,000 to renovate a bathroom in my home saying it would be a discount of $5,000 from the regular price if it was done in December when he is slow. His comments to me are that the kitchen is beautiful. My response is that it is beautiful because the components that I chose are beautiful. I paid for licensed, skilled tradesmen and I did not get what I paid for. I will be filing a complaint with Suffolk County Consumer Affairs.

    Affordable Plumbing and Drain Cleaning
Frank came right away and identified the issue and gave us a work around until he could come back the next day and make the permanent fix. The broken pipe was in a very awkward spot almost inaccessible, but with some very athletic contortions and a little jack hammering, he got to it and fixed it. He was fast, courteous and clean - couldn't have asked for a better craftsman and result. Thanks Frank!

    Mid Suffolk Cesspool Service
Rob and Christine are terrific. Christine handled the appointment and communications until Rob was onsite. I found Rob to be very knowledgeable and professional. He pumped the cesspool and then used a digital camera to check inside the cesspool to determine type. Afterward he applied the chemicals. Unfortunately we don't have an overfill pool so we have to pump our cesspool more frequently. Rob explained in detail the process, cost and time to install and overfill pool and we will definitely use Mid Suffolk Cesspool when we're ready.

    Dashing Dan's Plumbing & Heating
They "completed" the job in one hour, charged us $400.00. Problem is, the tank, which they said they had fixed, leaked. I called them at 10 p.m. that night to let them know. They came the next morning. Their analysis: "When we arrived, the bolts were loose." I asked, "What do you mean? Do you think I loosened the bolts in the tank after you left?" Their answer, "No, we are not saying that." Hmm. They refused to say that the PLUMBER did not tighten the bolts securely. It seems to me they were not accepting responsibility for their failure to adequately tighten all the bolts. We cannot respect a company that does not take responsibility for its mistakes (and thereby justify the high cost of the job). If we pay that much for a one hour job, thorough professionalism is expected. We did not get it from them.
