    Interstate Movers of America
WARNING!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They (Alex) made an estimate for me that was competitive with another legit company. I was ready to sign the paperwork, and the next day one of their sales people called me up, and without saying a word, offered me $300 discount. So I took it. Then, 1 day before the move a "QA" person (AnnMarie) called me to go over the move. I gave them the EXACT inventory I gave the original guy (who was no longer available to talk). She doubled the price of the move to $2500 and removed the $300 discount. I knew this was becoming a scam. I cancelled the move with them. I got non-stop phone calls from people at the company that night. They came back to me (Jeff) and returned to the original estimate. Then, moving day. The truck arrives and the foreman states he is with a different company and his rates based on the truck he brought was now $2700. Here we go again. They start loading the truck - because what am I going to do now? They get the truck loaded and there are still 50% of my boxes in the house. So, they underestimated the amount of space needed even with an accurate inventory. I called the Brenda at interstate and she was going to send me another truck - I stopped her right there. No way. Another true with another driver with another price. This was getting out of hand. Continued calls (30 in all) to the company went into phone mail or indefinite hold music. They were nowhere to be found. When it came time for payment - I gave them my American Express card - the foreman wouldn't accept it. The moving company said they would. I called Xavier at Interstate and he "ran around the company" trying to help me. After he got back on the phone, he wanted me to go to the post office and give them my AMEX and get three $1000 money orders. NO WAY. Now the foreman went from Mr. Nice Guy to backing up the moving company. It was a completely coordinated scam. The foreman refused to take my things without payment and then demanded $400 for unloading the truck. I said "AMEX?" and he flipped out. They placed my things nicely on the driveway and left. I called into uhaul and got a 26' truck, pulled up to the house and loaded it with my things. I got help from the mailman to get a couch in the truck - the rest i did myself. Moral of the story - the ENTIRE moving industry is a SCAM filled with nothing but MIDDLEMEN who CANNOT quote you an exact price. THE PEOPLE EMPLOYED AT INTERSTATE MOVERS ARE NOTHING MORE THAN REJECTED TIMESHARE SALESMAN. Bait and switch, different people playing good-cop/bad-cop... etc. They have a script and the "different moving company" is in on it as well. I got the uhaul for $300 and spent $500 on two guys to help me move things into the new place that night. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!! ANY OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE WRITTEN BY THEIR EMPLOYEES. And, a final note, I was moving 70 miles, but they charged me an INTER-STATE rate. WHAT A SCAM - DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!

    Blue Collar Moving
Great job. After shopping around we found Blue Collar on Angie's List. At first glance we were drawn by their great reviews. Some of the movers we spoke to had really mixed reviews... one guy actually told us that people usually only write bad reviews (same guys bid was higher). Rob came and gave us an estimate... as well as tips to best prepare for the process. Leading up to the move, Danille helped us schedule, then on the day of the move TJ and the rest of the team were there early for an on-time start. At the start, Rob introduced us to every person on the team... everyone of which could not have been more polite. They took great care in wrapping / protecting our furniture and on the delivery side took great care to make sure we were happy. The cost was exactly what Rob quoted. This was a no-brainer... we were thrilled with these guys.

    Redline Moving Inc
This was the second time we have used Redline for a move, and couldn't be more pleased! Once again, the crew was fantastic - so careful, expert and enjoyable to deal with.  The packing up happened on one day, then the next day the truckload was delivered to us 150 miles away. Everything went smoothly and on time. We have numerous antiques and delicate objects which were packed so expertly and made it to their new location in perfect condition.

We have total confidence in this company.  Clearly they only hire the best.  Everyone there seems to do their utmost to do a great job, and they succeed with flying colors.  If every company performed like Redline it would be paradise for consumers!

    Green City Movers
It had been a very long time since we had moved from one home to another and I had forgotten how stressful it can be, however, Norman and his team made it a great experience for my family. He advised us on how big a crew we would need for this size job and it worked out great. They showed up on time, all of the guys were extremely professional and helpful with the entire process. They treated our furniture and other belongings with respect- everything made it safely from Point A to Point B. The crew's work ethic was tremendous, taking just a single 20 minute break for lunch during the course of a 15 hour day! I strongly recommend Green City Movers. -DR, Long Island.

A Man With a Van & More Inc
Everything went smooth as silk.  They loaded the van on one day and left us with the bed and TV because our new home would not be ready for two more days.  On the day of the move they unloaded the van and then returned to the old house and loaded all of the things that were left there for our convenience.  They then returned to the new house and completed the move.  The crew was more than courteous and efficient.  They really were a group of nice guys who knew what they were doing and how to do it. Nothing was broken, scratched or damaged. I hope to never move again but if that ever happens jimmy and his crew would be the ones to do it.

    Redline Moving Inc
The experience of moving a large load of furniture (much of it somewhat fragile antiques) from NY to Massachusetts with Redline Moving was A+++ in every way!  Everything went so smoothly and all arrived safely and on time. From the first contact with this company, it was clear we would be in good hands.  Very quick response to initial phone call; quick home visit for detailed estimate; clearly a very professional operation, and pleasant to deal with. (The estimate came in a bit higher than another highly rated company, but the difference was that Redline guaranteed their estimate- no nasty surprises could pop up later if it turned out that someone had underestimated the time required. We made the right choice!)
All was packed up extremely carefully the day before the move, and then the actual move occurred with on- time arrival the next day despite some bad weather. What an incredible crew and management team!   Totally professional, expert, courteous, with good sense of humor to boot -- truly a pleasure to deal with. They went above and beyond in helping to place everything where it needed to go, and assuring our satisfaction.
We are so appreciative of the good work that was done, which turned a potentially stressful experience into a very positive experience.  I HIGHLY recommend this company, and in fact plan to use their services again in the future.

    Dunbar Moving
They were late, but that was a scheduling fault. They were all very nice and worked hard in the heat. They were gentle with the boxes and seemed to be pretty expert at how to make a move happen smoothly.

ASTRO MOVING & STORAGE- Allied Van Lines
Astro Moving moved us in the early spring.  It was a move of about 1 mile in distance. As they were unpacking, the mover told me they broke the runner part of my custom, upholstered rocking chair.  He glued it and taped it.  Then he had me sign something that said that that everything else was fine.  The next day I noticed that a wooden spindle on the back of a dining chair (that they set up out of notice) was broken.   I found this out because the piece fell off onto the floor when I moved the chair.  I also noticed another dining chair leg was broken and glued back on with the same glue color they used on the broken rocker.  Lastly, I noticed that a piece of plastic from the front of my DVD player was broken off and stuck back on.  After complaining and leaving messages, on June 12th I received a letter dated March 29 (more than 2 months before) with a check for a grand total of $19.20 for the 3 broken chairs and cracked DVD.  I'm throwing the rocking chair with the broken runner and the chair with the broken leg out, since someone could get seriously hurt if the chair/rocker should collapse while in use.  Worst moving experience ever.

    Molloy Bros Moving & Storage
IT WAS HORRIFIC. I can't believe this company had any good ratings -- we must have had a VERY aberrant experience. First, the movers were 9 HOURS LATE -- yes, you read me right. They were estimated to start at 8-9am and because their driver was coming from about 3 states away, he arrived at 5 pm. Needless to say, our move went well into the evening. Further, he told us essentially he had just been out drinking late the night before. There was much damage to the cottage we moved into (dents, paint scraped, etc) as well as to our belongings -- broken shelves, glass, you get the picture. FURTHER, we believe they STOLE jewelry we had forgotten to carry ourselves and left in a drawer! Just a couple of small items that had less value than they looked like, but WOW! This was a SENSATIONALLY bad experience. We continued to get nothing but the run-around from the company for our complaints. AGAIN, HORRIFIC.

    Atlanta Peach Movers
First-rate. Came on time to pick me up and delivered my stuff early. The young couple that moved me were meticulous and careful. They accidental broke a fan in my old apartment but fixed it quickly and without complaint.
