BELLAGIO Kitchens & Baths Marble & Granite
On September 12, 2019, at a hearing at the Suffolk County Consumer Affairs office there was a hearing and Bellagio agreed to 9 violations. Two of the violations were for unlicensed plumber and unlicensed electrician. Bellagio also agreed to a $12,500 settlement with the consumer payable in three installments. Bellagio defaulted on the payment due on October 15, 2019 to. Please verify that the insurance policy and license are in effect at the time of any work to be done. Call the insurance company to verify.

    Selective Sculptures
Selective Sculptures just completed a full remodeling of our forty year old kitchen. They did an exquisite job. If we were awarding stars here and five stars was the highest I would ask to assign six to everyone involved, Brian, Scott, Mike, Don, Victor, Eddie and Herrin all in particularly and for their individual contributions. They took a forty year old builders kitchen and gave us a stunningly beautiful country style kitchen that we dreamed of; inclusive of every detail we wished for and they did it at a price that was more than fair and in a timeframe that was absolutely agreeable. They are very skilled craftsman. They were all always welcome in our home because not only did they have tremendous crafting skills, each had a wonderful personality and were a pleasure to have in our home. They left the worksite spotless each night prior to their departure. They were very respectful of the fact that they were working in our home. The ideas they put forth to solve several design problems were genius. All things considered, I would not hesitate in the least to recommend Selective Sculptures to anyone considering any type of home restructuring job. There are a gaggle of contractors out there but none that will give you the type of design and work precision that Selective Sculptures can.

BELLAGIO Kitchens & Baths Marble & Granite
It was a nightmare. He and his staff stated to me that his electrician and plumber were licensed. They were not licensed or insured. Bellagio is licensed but not to do electric or plumbing. The electrician was just a handyman in reality. Sam Soykan, the owner also had his socalled licensed plumber do some electric work. His socalled licensed plumber was actually a man who pled guilty to felonies in Nassau County because he stole money from his previous employer and was ordered to pay restitution in excess of $279,000.00. I found this out when the men he used to do the electrical work caused damage to my central air conditioner and buried a junction box behind sheetrock without a cover in a wall in my garage. I paid for licensed skilled tradesmen and did not receive it. Soykan repeatedly told me and put in writing that he only used licensed electricians and plumbers. When I complained to him he sent me an email that he was going to come to my home and rip out my fireplace. He constantly threatened me verbally and in writing that I better not rock the boat. I told him that I took his comments as threats and he told me they were threats. The job was supposed to take 4 weeks and at 11 weeks it still is not complete. The countertops and island were supposed to have an Ogee edge. Bellagio fabricated the stone with the wrong edge and installed it. The edge on the island is damaged on one side and of course it is visible. I was supposed to have a mud job for the tile floor and it was not done that way. There are numerous mistakes done, none of the 12 high hats are flush with the ceiling and they supposedly did it 3 times, the cabinet doors are not level, also done 3 times, the panel on the side of the refrigerator cabinet is coming apart, the "licensed" plumber did not put silicone around the kitchen sink and many other items too numerous to mention. Soykan did not order enough tile for the floor and he took more than 2 weeks to get the tile. The tile came from Connecticut, he could have driven there to get it. The job got off to a bad start. The job started on Monday, April 2, 2018 and they did the demo for two days. They didn't show up for work for the next 3 days and I had to call them to find out if they were coming to do the job. They used my garage as a dump, treated my home like garbage and left junk all over my driveway after the dumpster was removed. I have asked Serhat Soykan for a refund of $15,000 of what I have paid him and his counteroffer to that was for me to pay him $15,000 to renovate a bathroom in my home saying it would be a discount of $5,000 from the regular price if it was done in December when he is slow. His comments to me are that the kitchen is beautiful. My response is that it is beautiful because the components that I chose are beautiful. I paid for licensed, skilled tradesmen and I did not get what I paid for. I will be filing a complaint with Suffolk County Consumer Affairs.

    Floria Electric Inc
Pat traced and diagnosed the problem and made sure it was working perfectly before he left. I was very satisfied with his knowledge, thoroughness, responsiveness and his ability to explain the problem and the solution. Would not hesitate to hire again.

    Shamrock Electric Co Inc
Mike is extremely thorough and ensures complete satisfaction. He replaced 2 of our ineffective bathroom fans with new ones, but also ran new venting outside when he discovered the old venting was poorly installed. When we told him we were not happy with the fans he installed, he came back and replaced them with more efficient models and only charged the cost difference. He also fixed some of our landscape lighting, rather than replacing the fixtures, which saved us a lot of money. We have full confidence in his work.

    Shamrock Electric Co Inc
I called Shamrock Electric, left a message, and the owner called me back the same night. We arranged for him to pass by and have a look in order to provide an estimate. Unfortunately, I realized that I had something else scheduled for the time we agreed so I called back the next morning to reschedule. I left another message and was never called back. I called two more times, always leaving a message and asking for a callback but I never heard back from him. Even if someone is too busy to accept a new job, I would really appreciate it if they would just say so, instead of just dodging phone calls. I even waited for a few days before calling another electrician out of "loyalty" to Shamrock.

    GenReady, Inc.
I have been a homeowner for 46 years, and have dealt with my share of home improvements and repairs over this period. My experience with Gen-Ready stands in the top 10%. From initial contact and estimate to securing building permits and installation, the process went smoothly and professionally. Ed Rieff, his son Andrew, office staff and plumbing subs were knowledgeable, responsive and did the generator installation at a competitive price. (I got estimates from three providers.) I highly recommend.

    MARRA ELECTRIC
We used Marra electric 2 years ago for work on our main level and were very satisfied. We just finished our basement that we also had planned to use Marra for but the contractor ( that we have since fired) did electrical work in our basement. Although we told him multiple time s that we wanted our electrician to do the work he continued on and increased his price thousands of dollars. Eventually we terminated his job and called Dan from Marra to come and help us. DAN came quickly and inspected the work that had been done. As we suspected the work needs to be redone. DAN was sympathetic to our situation and thankfully fit us in this week to take care of the dangerous work the other guy left. We are greatful to Marra for being able to quickly rectify our situation. We are very confident they'll make our house safe again. I highly recommend this company!!

    TFC ELECTRIC, INC.
We had a great experience dealing with TFC Electric. I put out several requests to electricians listed via the Angie's List message system. In less than 24 hours, TFC had responded to our inquiry. After several message exchanges, the service appointment was set and estimated cost given. TFC arrived at the agreed upon day and time. The new fixture that we supplied was installed with TFC trimming siding, sealing the new fixture, and even touching up the paint.

    Pristine East End Contracting
Nick DeRosa using old world craftsmanship combined with an in-depth knowledge of modern building materials and techniques produced unbelievable results. Faced with a daunting task of trying to rebuild our home after a devastating flood, Nick provided guidance not only as to how to get our home back in shape but also providing guidance and support in our dealings with the insurance company as well as the bank. This is the second time that we have used Nick and his team this year. Project involved rebuilding the upstairs bathroom, upstairs study, upstairs hallway, downstairs kitchen, as well as downstairs hallway. The total cost of this project exceeded $20,000, including construction, plumbing, and electrical. This does not take into account the money that was paid by the insurance company for the clean-up after the flood as well as the removal of asbestos that was discovered during the course of clean-up. This added another $15,000 bringing the grand total to $35,000. The final end product far exceeded our expectations and we anticipate contracting Nick to perform additional work sometime in the early part of 2017. Overall, I would rate Pristine East End Contracting an "A". Specifically, Nick DeRosa: 1. Provided us with a detailed quote in which he clearly documented both time and materials; 2. Completed our project on time and at budget; 3. Worked exclusively on our project without the distraction of other commitments; 4. Coordinated effectively with other tradesmen, including John Julius Electric as well as Atlantic Plumbing; 5. Maintained a safe and meticulously clean work area free from dirt and construction debris; and 6. Exhibited politeness and professionalism in his dealings with us, his helpers, as well as other tradesmen.
