ACUSWORTH DOOR & WINDOW COAfter getting no response from the company we had used previously, we called Cusworth on Tues morning. They gave us an immediate appointment for that afternoon at 1pm. At 1pm, they were courteous enough to call us to let us know that they had been delayed by an emergency, and would arrive at about 3pm. They arrived right at 3pm as promised. The father/son team were courteous, nice and fun to deal with. They explained everything that they were doing. The entire job took only about an hour. We are extremely pleased with the results, and highly recommend this family run business.- Kevin T.

AAVANTI OVERHEAD DOORAfter much difficulty with delivery, scheduling and incorrect parts finally being delivered on a garage door previously purchaced in Dec of 2012 from the other box store, we finally had the unusable door picked up in early May. While at the same time I had called on a 10X7 door purchaced thru Home Depot, I was told the door had arrived that morning and I should be expecting a call from their vendor very soon. Well, I received that call in less than 20 minutes which I was thrilled with after my months long battle on the other door. Ken with Avanti Overhead Door asked if I was available that afternoon and promptly brought that door the very same day. He was polite and courteous so I asked him for some advice on the situation of converting the old door we kept to a high lift application. Ken knew immediately what we need to do and which parts were necessary to accomplish this task. He then gave me a ballpark estimate and said he was going to be out of town for the weekend and asked if it would be okay if he got back to me on Monday. Well, he left me a message on Sunday night which I returned Monday daytime and he retuned my call later that afternoon with a quote and we scheduled to complete the job the next friday. Ken came over a few minutes earlier because he knew I had to get my young children off to school and daycare, which was greatly appreciated! He then made the necessary adjustments to the track and efficiently installed the new torsion spring and drum. He then made certain the track was adjusted properly and the door was balanced to operated smoothly. It was great working with him. I will be certain to recommend him to my customers on a regular basis. (I'm a handyman who knows a bit about garage doors but smart enough to know how dangerous torsion springs can be and when to hire a professional). I also asked Ken to double check my installation of the door he had delivered to my house on our initial meeting. A minor adjustment was necessary and he helped me make that adjustment which was great for piece of mind.- Chris M.

AAVANTI OVERHEAD DOORKen was great to work with. I had called 3 companies to get quotes for a replacement overhead door. One company never called me back. Avanti beat the other company's estimate by almost $200. He was a little late showing up to do the measurements, but he made up for it when he arrived early for the install. He hauled away my old garage door and track and installed a new garage door and track. Since my house is old the garage door opening was not a standard size, he had to special-order the garage door and also install a low-overhead track. Ken said it took a lot of little adjustments to get everything lined up just right. We're very happy with the door and wish we had contacted him for a new door sooner! It was a lot less expensive than we thought a new garage door would be. I would highly recommend Avanti Overhead Door.- Melinda L.

AAVANTI OVERHEAD DOORWIth one day's notice, Ken came to our house on a cold Saturday morning and replaced the spring. He repaired some damage caused during a previous repair at no extra cost. AFoley Builders IncIt went very well overall. Mr. Foley is a business man who deals in high end projects. He certainly held up his end of the bargain by providing us with an estimate and list of materials in a short period of time. He also told us when we could expect the work to be done and it sounded like every detail was covered. He even included reseeding lawn when the job was finished. The interior of the garage was to be insulated and finished with sheet rock. He was going to paint the inside with 3 coats of paint. There would have been absolutely no work for us to do in regard to this project. I am sure that is what helped drive the price up but it still was more than we are willing to pay for that type of project. We have had many projects done on our house in the past, A new kitchen which involved taking down walls, etc. a bathroom addition that involved raising the roof, a new front porch, etc.. The same person did all those jobs but unfortunately for us he has moved out of state therefore is no longer available. That is why I went to Angie LIst for recommendations. I am sure this would have been an outstanding job had we decided to move forward. We are in the process of getting other estimates. Have not entirely discounted Mr. Foley but do think we can get what we want for a lesser price.- Barney J.

FOrder never arrived. 11 days later the owner told me they sent the wrong part and he would take care of it then get back to me. 3 days later I messaged him to find out he was sick and planned to be out of the office for the next few weeks. So he had no intention of getting my order done. We bickered via txt message where he blamed me for buying cheap hardware. Now I have no part and my project is more than 2 weeks delayed. Very unprofessional and blames everyone but himself.
